The technician came out to troubleshoot the problem. It turns out that when the new dryer outlet was installed in the newly remodeled laundry room, the electrical line stopped at the garage wall! It wasn't extended or terminated at the breaker box. The technician did a masterful job of extending the electrical line, encasing it in conduit, and adding on to the breaker box. The fees were reasonable. I can now use my clothes dryer!

I used one of their deals. I paid $99 for two hours of licensed work. The guy was here on time and he was very flexible. He actually ended up doing an hour’s work here an hour’s work in my partners home. He was really flexible about the whole thing. I bought a fan while he was out there and he put in a second hour as a part of my deal. I need to do some HVAC work and I am thinking of calling them.

The project to disconnect and remove the electrical line from my evaporative cooler (to be removed/disposed during roof replacement by IB Roof Systems) was meticulously completed, the spot where line went through roof patched and are cleaned up afterwards. I was very content with the job after climbing to the roof to ensure all was completed as requested. I would readily hire Harder Electrical & Mechanical for future projects.

Furnace quit overnight. Called and left a message in the morning; Dave responded within an hour or so to let me know that he could be at my house before noon. In fact he arrived shortly after calling to say he was on his way. He carefully checked out the possibilities that could keep the burner from coming on and had the problem solved and was on his way by lunchtime. The $90 charge seemed reasonable enough considering that we had no heat for a night in January. I know Dave made a good fee for his time as well. I am confident that the problem is solved. My wife and I both were comfortable having Dave in the house and, more importantly, our dog Alex liked him. We would all welcome him into our home again should the need arise.

Dave and his crew have done many jobs for us. He is local right here in the East Mtns and he has a broad range of skills for your electrical, heating and air conditioning needs. Recently, he did a service on our whole house generator. Dave came right out and had my generator ready for another year of dependable service. Call Dave, he’ll treat you right and do you a first class job.

They were fabulous. I never had any problem with them. They were here when they said they would be, it costed what they said it would be and everything was great. They went above and beyond. They were great. I would absolutely call them again in the future.

They were prompt and also professional in their conduct. Everything was done per our agreement in the estimation. Price was lowest of the three quotatations that I had obtained. They cleaned up after the installation was completed and they removed the old system.

They were punctual and professional. The technician explained to me everything he was doing, and was thorough and professional.

Mr. Harder gave us an estimate and outlined everything that would be covered under that estimate as well as put it in writing. He obtained the permit, coordinated with PNM and met with the city inspector when it was finished. All the work was completed on the day and time he said it would and we are very satisfied with the experience.

Using Angie's List as a recommendation source I contacted Dave Harder of Harder Electrical and Mechanical Service on 8/25/2011 and asked him about having (3) electrical outlets installed on the exterior of my home. He asked some probative questions relating to my request and then gave me a time and cost "guesstimate." I asked him when he could send someone out and he said he could have a journeyman electrician at my home on 8/29@8a.m. and that the electrician would give a better estimate after checking out the work site. Punctually at 8a.m. on 9/29 "Nate" (representing Harder Electrical) was at my front door. He was polite and wasted no time in assessing the proposed job. He gave me a time/cost estimate and I gave him the 'go ahead.' He neatly and efficiently completed the job in a half hour less than originally estimated, picked up after himself and adjusted the time portion of my bill accordingly. I'm completely satisfied with work performed and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. As for me; I'd call them again in a minute.

They did a great job for us. They were on time and were friendly. We would use them again in the future.

They did a very professional job. They went the extra mile to not disturb the appearance of the house walls.

It went fine. We had Dave come out twice. There was much to consider in this project and after receiving other bids, we wanted to give Dave the opportunity to be on the same playing field. He offered us a fair and comparable price. We just were not prepared for the financial outlay right now.

Harder had done previous work for us, so when we needed a 220 line and additional lighting in our garage, I called Harder and arranged for them to do the work. They were prompt and efficient. The job was done exactly as we wanted. We are pleased with their work and would recommend them to anyone.

Our upstairs air conditioner quit working while we were away for a few days during 100 degree temperatures. Using Angie's List (for the first time) I called a few of the higher ranked contractors including Harder Electric. No one was able to stop by the same day as my call. Dave Harder said he could stop by after returning from an appointment in Santa Fe to take a look and give me an estimate.Dave stopped by and decided he could fix it same day after running across town for a part. He returned and fixed it. Very responsive and very professional. Great guy to have do your work!

While our in-laws were visiting, our father-in-law thought he would do us a favor and install a new hall light and switch in our dark basement entryway. As much as I adore him, I just didn't trust that all the wiring was done correctly. I called Harders and they came out the same day and checked everything out. Luckily, everything was done right and we didn't need to change anything!

Came on time and fixed both problems.

The job went very well from the estimate to the completed work. Very competent and efficient.

No problems experienced during the installation.

My air conditioning unit started blowing out warm air , I called Dave and he came out in the afternoon of the same day. Dave was very prompt on his arrival time and went right to work. He said it was my circut breaker that needed to be reset , which he did. Dave also took the time to do a test on my compressor , check coils and checked my air filter. Dave was very professional and friendly.

Two men showed up and the first thing they mentioned was that the both of them charge $135/hour for their work. They took 4 1/2 hours and charged $450 to hang an $89 ceiling fan. I felt this was completely outrageous! They appeared to be working through out the entire span of time. They also cut a hole in the sheet rock about the size of a wall plate which completely baffles me and the hole is still there for no particular reason.

Have used Dave Harder in the past to upgrade my electrical system to 125 amps. He is prompt, professional, friendly, thorough. I really appreciate the work done. His estimate was a bit higher than first given due to the amount of work and time to install one of the lights through the roof/ceiling since there was not a light in the ceiling before.

We had a really good experience with them. They came fifteen minutes late but when they got here, they more than made up in their work. They were very cordial and they cleaned up their mess when they were finished.

HE KNEW WHAT EVER HE HAD TO DO. WHEN HE WAS SUPPOSED TO ARRIVE HE ARRIVED SOONER. WHEN THE JOB WAS FINISHED IT WAS DONE WELL. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE BECAUSE THEY ARE VERY NEAT.

WE THOUGHT THAT WERE GREAT AND THEY ARE VERY FAST. WHEN THEY GOT DONE THE GUY EXPLAINED EVERY THING THAT THEY DID. I THOUGHT THAT WAS NICE BECAUSE THEN IN THE FUTURE I WOULD KNOW WHAT TO DO.
