Very professional, dealt with out of square timbers without complaint. Finished work is exceptional. The windows immediately worked and reduces mid to high 80 temps to a high of 77. Would do this again on another property, but only if they did the job.

A rep came to take the measurements, the windows were manufactured and when ready, installed with screens. Install took about four hours. The guys cleaned up everything and left the windows sparkling.

Most of the work was completed in one day. It went well. The installed patio door and windows look great. The installer brought to my attention that a part was missing to the patio screen door that allows it to lock. He said he would get one and install it. I didn't hear back from him but contacted the salesman and store. There was also a small but deep scratch on the door handle. My only complaint with this company is that I had to contact the company a numbers of times to check on the status and get it resolved. The two issues were taken care. The door handle was replaced and the screen door part was installed. I am a satisfied customer.

Levi, the salesman, was timely and courteous, and very knowledgable about the product and industry. There was no pressure to purchase and he made some excellent recommendations that other sales people did not make. I'm so happy he did as I love the changes. Our install finished today. The contracted crew was on time every day and put in a full day with only one short lunch break. They were very professional and most often I didn't even realize they were there, with exception of the sawing. Gil was the lead and has worked for Glass-Rite for 14 years. At the end of each day he reviewed the work and pointed out what was done and any patches that he would fix on the following day. I'm a QC manager and went over the final work with only one miss (caulking not completed under a window) - this was corrected immediately. It is apparent the install team cares about the completed work ensuring the job looks good. My husband is a general contractor and extremely picky, he was very pleased with the job - thank goodness because I hired them! :) I also want to add that I liked the no-gimmick pricing. The pricing beat competitors that offered 50% off windows and similar. Glass-Rite was my 4th bid so we saw a wide range of product and pricing. I selected them due to their reputation, quality product, and price value comparing apples-apples, and the installers are employees, not sub-contractors.

Dan Burton was prompt, professional, and not at all pushy when he came to my house to give me an estimate. We made an appointment for me to visit the showroom. I was impressed with the quality and was ready to sign on the dotted line, but my boyfriend wanted me to get a second estimate. Fair enough. I contacted Accent Southwest and received an estimate, which was more than double Glass-Rite's estimate. For the neighborhood I live in, spending over $16,000 on windows makes no sense, and I was sold on Glass-Rite from the beginning. I talked to others and they too thought Glass-Rite's estimate was spot-on and reasonable. While I had to nudge Glass-Rite a couple of times to get the lead testing done and then to get scheduled, after I nudged, they were very responsive and apologized for the wait. The installation, which happened this week, went very smoothly. The two technicians were on time and very courteous. The windows are so beautiful; I'm amazed at the difference they make in how my house looks. It's like getting a perfect new set of teeth! I love the quality, too. Other than getting my floors refinished, this is the best house decision I've ever made. Thank you, Glass-Rite!

Great service. Replaced 14-windows, and did some construction to change two sets of windows. Took 3-days.

Dan Burton, the estimator was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The installation team was very professional, showed up on time, worked very hard and were very detail oriented. They cleaned up after each day's work and did little things like caulking around windows that were not being replaced at this time. The lead installer noticed a tiny crack in one of the new clear stories and called the shop to have a replacement made and ready the next day!

It went well, faster than I thought it would.

Glass-Rite was very cooperative in helping us in our decision to upgrade our windows, helping answer our concerns, but not giving us a hard sell, very unlike their competition. Their price was much more reasonable than the competition, as well. Once we decided, the windows were fabricated and installed in a timely, professional process. We are very pleased with result.

This is the second time we called Glass-Rite. In 2015 they had replaced nine of the windows on our house, and we were so pleased with the results that we had them come out this year and do the rest of the windows. Everything went smoothly, everything was done in a timely manner, and the new windows look great and operate seasily. I compared utility bills from 2014 to those after the first set of windows were installed, and they showed our heating and cooling bills were reduced by at least 30%. These are great windows that will probably outlast the house.

Can't say enough good things about this company. From the first contact to the last, they were professional, clean, and courteous. The estimator, the people who tested for lead paint, and the installers were all on time and worked very hard at what they did. The windows are great and we really appreciate that everything was cleaned up after the job was completed. I would highly recommend this company.

After reading the reviews on Angie's List I decided to have Glass-Rite do the work. I wanted quality windows that were energy efficient and kept down the outside noise. Dan Burton came out and gave me a demonstration of their window. I was quite pleased with all the features, including the glass which was insulated for sound, the easy locking system, the way they open in to wash them from inside the house, and the overall look and quality of the windows. The vinyl frames were a great match for my house. I ordered a total of 9 new windows, including three picture windows, one of which is a bay window. The other windows are sliders or up-down windows. When the windows were ready, Odell, the lead installer, arrived with the other installer, Jesus. The two of them went right to work removing the old metal window frames and windows and preparing the space for the new windows. They worked very efficiently and got all the windows installed in one day, just before a big rainstorm started. Odell came back two days later, after the rains, to finish the outside grouting and stuccoing. Both men were very hard working and very courteous. I was happy that I got such efficient and experienced installers. It's now much quieter in the house, and it's warmer also. I am very pleased with the installation job, and highly recommend Glass-Rite.

I contacted the Glassrite office and set up an appointment in my home. The salesman arrived at my house on time with an example of the type windows I was interested in. He did an excellent job explaining what the company does and was great about explaining the energy considerations for my window choices. He measured all the windows and sliding glass doors and gave me a detailed quote on the spot. I liked the fact that the windows are fabricated in New Mexico, the installers work directly for the company and they offer a great warranty. I had three other quotes from major well known window manufacturers and decided on Glassrite. The windows were fabricated and JenWeld sliding glass doors were ordered (Glassrite does not fabricate sliding glass doors). I was notified everything was ready for installation and we set up an installation date. They installers showed up on time, removed the existing windows and installed the new ones (also the 2 sliding glass doors). The installation was very professionally done and everything was cleaned up. It was fabulous to have clean, energy efficient windows installed so quickly by a local New Mexico company. I highly recommend this company!

I met with Dan on May 7, 2015. He arrived on time and was very friendly, professional, and easy to talk with. I had plenty of questions about what I wanted and didn?t want, and he answered them all. He was very knowledgeable about all of Glass Rite?s products and features which fit just about all of my everyday needs. A few of their standard features were at no extra cost ? different from other pricey quotes I received. Be prepared to get lead-paint testing before installation should you have an older home. This testing is free at Glass Rite. It took slightly longer to get on the installation schedule, but we figured out installation time for July 9th and 10th (I had nine windows to install). I had to work on those days, but my boyfriend was there on both days and reported that the installation crew was friendly and efficient. When I had questions both before and after the installation, the staff at Glass Rite was prompt in getting back to me with answers. I love my new windows which were a definite upgrade to the look of my home. The only problem I had was that I have security ironwork on my windows that have safety latches to open the ironwork in case of fire. I noticed after the installation that the window openings on the ?slider? windows, where the safety latches are, should be away from the safety latches as a break-in deterrent. Although it would be difficult for a burglar to get their arm or a device through the bars and window and open the safety latch inside, I would have felt better if the window openings had been on the opposite side of the latches. This, however, cannot be addressed with the ?hung? windows. I recommend that future customers consider this oversight with the slider windows before getting their windows manufactured and installed. Another plus in using Glass Rite is that the windows are manufactured here in Albuquerque which is a factor when using Argon gas in your windows. There were also discount deals using Angie?s List and paying for the windows with PayPal. I highly recommend Glass Rite.

From the salesman to the installers, they were all professional & courteous. 3 young men did the installation & cleanup in one day! The new windows are absolutely beautiful! The way they were installed, there was no stucco repair that had to be done. This is a family owned company that takes pride in their product & service. We had a tour of the factory & met the owner. We have 8 huge windows on the East side of our home with intense heat. The new windows have a UV barrier & very little heat comes thru now. We did have other estimates but not impressed with the salesmen or the $$ estimate! The installers worked together so well & answered all our questions. I would recommend Glass Rite Windows as an A++!!

Things were perfect, they were great, and the staff was great.The price was great, they were very reasonable. I have no complaints about them.

When we bought this house a year ago, the home inspector warned us we would need some new windows, and during the winter we discovered how bad our old ones were. Cold air seeped in through and around the windows, driving up our utility costs, and some windows couldn't even be opened. We got three estimates, and Glass-Rite's was in the middle for price, but far better for quality. The cutaway windows showed how much stronger and better insulated Glass-Rite's windows were. On 3/5/15 we gave them a down payment, and because we had travel plans, we were promised the installation would take place in 4-5 weeks. When we had heard nothing further, at 4 1/2 weeks I called and was told someone had forgotten to order some of the materials, so the install would be delayed a couple more weeks. Again, no further contact from Glass-Rite, but when I called two weeks later, they scheduled the install immediately. The installers were an hour late arriving, and took longer that expected to complete the work. That said, the installers did a really good job, including taking down the blinds and reinstalling them, ensuring all the windows worked correctly, and insulating everything to the highest degree possible. They cleaned up everything after they were finished. The Glass-Rite window frames are wider and thicker than most, but that's the trade-off to get super strong well-insulated windows. These look like they will outlast the house. My wife has houseplants on the ledge below the bedroom windows, and with our old windows, the thermometer by the plants indicated that area was 10 degrees cooler than what showed at the thermostat. With our new windows, that area is exactly the same as the rest of the house, so the Glass-Rite windows have totally stopped any heat loss. The delays and lack of communication were annoying, but the quality of the windows and the installation make up for it. We still have some more windows that need replacing, and I will certainly call on Glass-Rite again to do it.

We received 2 quotes for the 6 windows and sliding glass door in early January. We researched window quality and determined that both company's windows seemed to be high performing. We really liked the sliding glass door of the alternate company, but liked Glass-Rites window construction better. Glass-Rites quote overall was significantly lower and combined with our preference for their windows, we chose Glass-Rite. We also like that Glass-Rite manufactures their windows locally. We appreciated everyone's professionalism and the installers did a good job. The installation was completed in one day. We are very satisfied and as we have 5 more windows to do, we will be calling Glass-Rite again.

After speaking with 3 different window replacement businesses and reviewing their specs and estimates, we chose GlassRite. Our decision wasn't based only on price. First, it was important to us to select a local, New Mexico company whose product was constructed in NM; second, the company provided us with a map showing the many homes in our neighborhood which had GlassRite replacement windows and we easily saw their expert workmanship; and third, GlassRite's rep., Dan Burton's presentation was very thorough and clear, not a hard-sell, and we could easily choose windows that met our needs. We chose EnergyQuest vinyl horizontal sliders in almond with wood indoor framing. Replacing our 5 windows (2 were 90" wide in 3 sections) took the 2-man team one full day, including sawing out and disposal of our old, leaky casement windows, weather-proofing the outside, and cleaning up all debris. I would recommend moving your furniture a day in advance as far from the old windows as possible to allow the workers enough room to work comfortably. They said 3 feet would be fine, but that's a bit tight. I also took their advice to cover everything with drop cloths; I used cheap painter's plastic sheeting and was glad I did. Sawing out the old windows creates a lot of dust and is very very noisy, so board your animals for the day or take them to a friend's. The second day was devoted to the inside wood framing of the windows - done beautifully, which I finished myself. Minimal puttying to cover the nails and smooth the joinders (let it completely dry), sanding, and 2 coats of paint and done! The windows are a huge improvement: of course they look great, the house is much quieter, and the house warmer!

I had a fantastic experience with them. After getting three estimates I chose Glass-Rite because they had the most reasonable prices while still providing excellent quality products. I really like the fact that their manufacturing site is in Albuquerque so there is no added shipping costs, and that the installers are employees of the company, are not contracted. They came on time and spent the entire days working at my house. All the workers were friendly, courteous and professional. I highly recommend this company and tell anyone who mentions the need to get new windows to call Glass-Rite. I was also very impressed with their work in converting three 3x5 windows in my living room that were side by side but separated by wall into one large (beautiful) window with two casement windows on the edges. They had to open the wall to put in a new header beam to support the new opening. They did a fantastic job! Also, all the new windows have made an incredible difference in how much heat comes in from sunlight. In two of my west facing rooms the afternoon sunlight would turn them into ovens, now, the added heat at the height of the day is barely noticeable. If you are considering new windows to replace outdated ones, do it! And be sure to contact Glass-Rite. I completely renovated my home and worked with eleven different contractors, while I had great work done by almost all, Glass-Rite is the one that I recommend equivocally.

Work was completed professionally, thoroughly, ahead of schedule, and with minimal damage to area windows were inserted. It was not necessary to restucco for two of the windows. For the other two windows, which were larger than the original, the installers discovered unexpectedly when cutting into wall, a thick cement beam supporting the old windows which required additional time and effort to cut through and remove the section where the windows were placed. The work was done with no apparent damage to structure of walls and the installers did an excellent job of cleaning up debris both inside and outside. The work was finished ahead of schedule. Glass Rite accommodated all our requests, including needing to change installation date because of unexpected house guests. We are already finding energy savings with the new windows, which is why we replaced the 50 year old windows in the house. We recommend this company without reservation. Their work is excellent.

The estimator was very friendly and easy to work with. There were no sales tricks used like with another vender we tried. The estimate price was honored and everything was done on time...measurements, lead testing, installation, etc. The installer explained how to use and care for the windows. I would use them again but maybe next be a little more clear on the style of the window... primarily the locks.
