The entire process was very good. I got estimates from three places, GlassRite and one other were comparable. I chose GlassRite because they manufacture the windows locally, and the quality. The gentleman that came out was experienced and friendly. He gave me the estimate and all the information and asked me to call them in a day or two, no hard sales. I ordered the windows and they were installed about 4 weeks later. They called to schedule the date and time. The installer showed up on time. I was a bit worried because they only sent one person, so I called the office and they promptly called me back after speaking to the foreman who was already on his way. They got the job done in a timely manner. They picked up after themselves. The installer knew all about the windows and showed me how they worked and features they had etc . . The following day I received a call from the office asking if everything was ok. On the second day after installation I noticed some insulation or something coming through the caulking outside on one window, I called and explained what was going on and they came out the following day and fixed it. I am extremely pleased with the windows and the service I received. I would recommend them to anyone.

They were very good. We had them come back twice because we decided later on that they have 2 more windows done in another room. Their quality is excellent. They cleaned up and the job looked really professional. They measured and put the windows in. There was no stucco broken or anything like that. It was just a very clean job. We had looked at several different companies and they were the least expensive. They do make a good product. They were very quick. We didn’t have to call them back or anything like that. They were very prompt and got the job done. They came and measured and made the windows and came out and put it all in in one day. They worked around our alarm system because each window was alarmed. It was just a good experience. I would definitely recommend them. Their product is excellent.

I liked their price, I liked their salesman, I liked the office manager and the person that answered the phone. I like the windows they are very good. I liked the information that they gave me. There is a warranty on them. I liked everything about it. I was able to finance so it was fine. Their installer was really good. I am really satisfied with them. Other people have told me that their windows have shifted or cracked but not these.

They are high quality units that look great. Our house is so quiet now and our heating system cycles less. Other companies quoted us $9000 for 8 windows with safety glass on our lower sashes. Glass Rite did the job for $5000 and told us they wanted us to have their windows and because we are expecting a little boy soon, they wanted to be sure the windows were safe for him to be around. We feel good knowing the windows are tempered. We checked out other companies and their window construction, and felt these windows were superior in quality. Overall awesome experience. Give them a call.

They removed the old windows and installed the new. They removed all the trash, cleaned and washed the new windows. They didn't tear any thing up, and when they left, the only thing different was the new window installation that looked as if they had been installed by magic. Paint, stucco, drywall were completely undisturbed! Completely seamless! Great job!!!!!

Glass-Rite said it would take a few weeks to mfg. the windows/doors and when done they called and scheduled the install which took three full days as this is a two story house and two sliding doors, one up and one down and a large picture window on the second floor. The installers were experts and very knowledgeable in every aspect of their jobs. They did a excellent install and even cleaned up after they finished each day. The job was finished as promised on time. The difference between the glass windows and doors we had versus the Glass-Rite ones is like night and day. We are very impressed with material and construction on the windows and doors. We like to looks of home a lot better now with the new windows and doors. We are very please with our experience with this company and would recommend them to anyone considering purchasing windows and doors, just look at the reasons for our selection.
Description of Work: We had Glass-Rite install several windows and one sliding door at a rental in NE Heights. We invited several companies to bid on this job. We selected Glass-Rite because of these reasons.1-company reputation, 2-locally built, 3-installed by the builders employees, 4-of course pricing very competitive, 5-Warranty, GR has a super warranty. Having the builder do the install was a serious consideration for us. When we decided to replace the windows/doors in our own home we did not even look at any other company we called Glass-Rite because of our satisfaction with the over all quality of the materials and workmanship and of course the price of the NE Heights project. Our home project has 17 windows and two sliding doors, one of the windows is a picture window which is seven ft long and on the second story, a challenge to say the least.

I am thoroughly delighted with my new windows and with Glass-Rite. Even though I only purchased two windows, I was treated with respect by all staff members - from my initial contact with the office to my interactions with the installers. The lead installer made sure I knew how to operate the windows and how to maintain them before he left. They cleaned up after themselves and I was told to call if I had any problems or questions. Even my salesperson came by to make sure I was satisfied. Not only are the employees professional, the windows are great - I don't have to worry quite so much now about high heating bills and I will definitely call Glass Rite back next year when I replace my bedroom windows. And, by the way, the price was great, too - I guess I didn't have to pay for the high cost of advertising. Thanks, Glass Rite!

They were the cheapest, but had the best warranty! Could be because Glass-rite windows are built locally. One of the benefits to that is that the windows are built for our high altitude (and consequently lower air pressure) in Albuquerque. This is important since my friend got sliding glass doors in Denver and the glass was really bowed out from the pressure between the panes. This is more likely to lead to a seal failure. Also, the Glass-rite windows have "partial-open locks" so you can crack the windows when running your swamp cooler but someone outside can't just open it and climb in without making a racket. I thought that was a nice touch. Anyway, sales guy was a pleasant fellow, and the workers were good and efficient. Cleaned up well afterwards. Oh, I just remembered: Glass-rite also sells Geld-win brand windows that are a little cheaper. I think I'd actually recommend them over the Glass-rite windows because they have the same warranty, but more importantly they have more glass area. The Glass-rite windows have thicker frames which reduce glass area. That's a big downside in my book (although perhaps the thinner frames are weaker, I don't know). I had a Geld-win put in for one of my small bathroom windows because the Glass-rite version would have been more frame than glass! It seems like a perfectly good window, and I think larger Geld-win windows would also be just fine. If I had it to do over again, I'd probably go with the Geld-win to get more glass area. In any case, I am happy with the Glass-rite ones as well. One more thing: one of the windows had damage to the frame on the outside (a pretty significant crack). I pointed it out to one of the workers, they reported it, and someone came out to look, and had it replaced shortly thereafter. Also, there was very little (if any) stucco damaged in the process.

It took close to four months for the work to be completed. While the final quality of the windows and installation work is satisfactory the time it took was far too long. Gil, the primary installer worked hard and took pride in his work. However, the overall experience was unpleasant; filled with canceled appointments, defective products, installation delays, late shows, unprofessionalism and misrepresentations. Repeatedly, they would set-up appointments only to cancel because the manufacture had sent the wrong item, had not sent the item or was behind schedule. It became a headache because we would arrange to take off work and be home only to have them cancel the night before or day of the appointment. The crew was up to 2 hours late for every appointment except one. The one appointment they were on time for was to collect their final payment. Their being late on the first day resulted in additional costs to me for an electrician that I had scheduled to coordinate the move of electrical outlets to make room for the sliding glass doors. I deducted the cost from the final payment. While I am satisfied with the final results, based on my experience, I cannot recommend to others the services of Glass-Rite.

I agree it took too long to finish the details on this job, We had no idea it would be that hard to get two locks keyed alike from Jeld-Wen. We were asked to set up appointments before we had the product in hand and I think this just made it worse. I think knowing that someone was generally home helped us with our schedule but allowed us to be complacent on our schedule times. I think we got off to the wrong foot when the electrician arrived before we did. In retrospect I would have preferred him to be scheduled in the afternoon. Glass Rite incurred the entire expense of an electrician for a full day because of this. In the future, we will sure we clearly communicate our start times better, we will be the sole contact for scheduling subcontractors on our jobs, and we will be sure we have product in hand before we schedule any appointments with customers. Glass Rite aspires to be the best, and we fell short on this job. We regret the dissatisfaction, and we have changed our procedures to ensure this will not happen again.

I contacted Glass-Rite several months ago based on favorable Angie's List reviews. Based on these reviews, as well as their onsite visit and bid, we selected Glass-Rite for the job. They installed three small bathroom windows and six large window, each vinyl framed and double-paned. Though it's too soon to estimate changes in heating/cooling costs, the house temperature seems much more stable. The biggest change is the reduced noise--we used to hear every car that passed by, but now outdoor sounds are much quieter. Besides their reasonable pricing, we were impressed with the fact that the company manufactures their own windows locally. Also, the installation crew was top notch.

Jerry came to do a quote for the window. He was punctual, polite, and efficient. He walked me through the reasons for the the price and what he recommended to maintain both aesthetics and functionality. About a week later, another staff member came to do a test for lead paint around the window. He was also punctual, polite, and efficient. Finally, this past week, the window was installed. Javier was excellent. He took his time and asked me a few questions about the placement of the window (it was in a bit of an odd spot and my house is quite old, so he has to make some minor accommodations). The window is gorgeous. It was expensive, but I believe I paid a fair price for the labor and parts, since it was such a large window. I am incredibly happy with the service and quality from Glass-Rite. I highly recommend them.

Our windows were twenty-some years old, several with broken seals. We decided to replace all the windows for more enegy efficiency. After evaluating several window companies & products, we called Glass Rite for an estimate. Chester came to measure & provide an estimate very promptly. He worked with us regarding various options for grid pattern in a large bank of windows, in determining our best options for opening clere story windows, and in selecting exterior glass for our trombe walls. Initially we expected installation within 4 weeks; however, we postponed due to inclement weather, and were promptly rescheduled for the following week. Lets face it- 27 windows present a huge project, and we were initially concerned when a two-man crew appeared. Also, the windows as loaded on the truck for that day's installation did not match the installation plan; the crew had to replace windows in rooms other than those we had prepped for the day. This proved to be the only downside of the project. The crew were exceptionally skillful in removing and replacing each window. I'd heard that I could plan on vacuuming up glass for weeks; however I have yet to find any pieces either inside or out. The men were professional, explained the revised installation plan, worked very neatly and efficiently, and remained willing to answer any questions. There was very minimal damage to the exterior stucco on one window, and this was restucco'ed immediately. One trombe window cracked after installation, and two smaller windows had a non-matched grid pattern; these windows were promtply replaced within a couple days. The entire project was completed in 2 1/2 days. The windows seem to prevent the overheating from such a large expanse of windows, while maintaining heat at night; we've noticed no drafts even during recent wind. They operate very smoothly, and add to the overall appearance of the house. Final cleanup was exceptionally thorough. Although we would not consider widow replacement 'fun', Glass Rite provided an exceptionally professional and friendly experience, start to finish. For those considering a'big box' product (as we had), Glass Rite provides a quality product at a competetive price. For those who prefer to support local businesses (as we do), we are very glad we decided to go with Glass Rite.
Description of Work: Replacement of 27 windows in our home, including opening clere-story windows and trombe wall windows, with vinyl replacement windows. Special decorative grid pattern requests. We have been wanting to replace our drafty windows for several years, and finally decided to take some action. We compared most of the vendors available (there are lots!), and knowing this was a decision we would have to live with for a long time, we didn't want to make one we'd regret. The positive reviews for Glass-Rite on Angie's List were a big factor in our decision. We had five windows replaced, and will do the rest at a later date - and we'll definitely go back to Glass-Rite when we're ready. Every part of the process was positive - the trip to their showroom, the estimator's visit, and installation. The two men who did the installation were hard workers, meticulous, and craftsmen rightfully proud of their work. As I'm writing this, the wind is howling outside, and the drafts around my office window that I've put up with for years are gone. It's actually warm in here, and I don't need a sweater! This was a good decision, and I recommend Glass-Rite to anyone contemplating window replacement. I only have one regret - that we waited so long to do this!

We got quotes from 2 other competitors and the others couldn't come close to the Glass-Rite price. The build quality and insulation factors were on par, if not slightly better than the competitors and other family members had used Glass-Rite in the past and highly recommended them. The salesman was very professional and courteous. When we ordered the windows, we were informed of the next steps and expected delivery/install dates. When it was close to time for the install, we were called to confirm the time. The installation went very smoothly and after the cleanup, we couldn't tell anybody was there other than our shiny new windows. We couldn't be happier with the windows and will use Glass-Rite again in the future for all of our windows/door needs.
