He's now my electrical Go To Guy in Albuquerque! Simple, clean, fast. He came an hour after I called. He didn't sell me anything I didn't need. He cleaned up the tangle of wires in our electric panel - caught a couple issues that could have turned into trouble - and on top of that fixed an outlet that had been troublesome. Awesome work! Thank you so much!

I scheduled Five Star Electric to move interior electrical outlet and phone jack.. They arrived on time. Work was done quickly and neatly with all the patchwork that needed to be done with moving outlets in a difficult area. They made sure the wi-fi was up and running before they left. Very professional. Even gave me quote for the next issue I want addressed. This is the second time I have used them and am very satisfied.

Overall it went well. He also gave me two quotes on two outside motion lights I would like to install.

I made the initial call for my appointment on Tuesday. Today is Thursday of the same week and I'm enjoying my new fixtures! Five Star Electric replaced an outdated ceiling fan, dining room chandelier, and two outside sconces (dusk to dawn) today - they even showed up 10 minutes EARLY! I was very impressed with Antonio and his crew member - they did an awesome job and were fast and clean!! Extra bonus points because they take VISA!! I didn't mind that they passed the 2% to me - because I wanted the points for my card and so many companies only take cash/checks. The Installation was smooth. Once the install was done Antonio was able to isolate a problem with the unit that came from the manufacturer. This was helpful since, i know if i would have attempted to install the unit, I would have doubted myself and lost alot of time and effort in getting down to the specific item, which, as it turns out was a bad receiver, in the unit. I was satisfied with the work but he didn't have a particular part. He used part of the two hours I paid for to run to the hardware store which took 30-45minutes. I was not happy with this.

I called on Wednesday mid-morning to ask about the ceiling fan special price. When we started talking I mentioned that I also needed three regular electrical plugs from the kitchen converted into the GFCI plugs and to replace the bathroom exhaust fan in addition to replace a ceiling fan. The gentleman, I believe he might have been the owner, so sorry, lost the card and can't remember the name, was able AND WILLING to move some things around so that he could meet me that same afternoon to take a look at what I needed done and to give me a correct estimate for the work I needed. He was about 10 minutes early...shocked me! that is not usually the case... he took a look at what we needed, quoted us the price. He had told us he would have to charge a $20.00 estimate fee because he was coming out of Albuquerque to give the estimate and that the $20.00 would be deducted from the final price we would be charged. We were able to schedule his work for the next day while my husband was available since I wouldn't be. If we would have wanted to wait, we would have had to wait for 2 weeks because he had already scheduled another job for the week. Since I had a renter moving in, and I wanted to prepare for that ..."just in case..." factor, he came out on Thursday. The owner brought one worker with him. he flew through what we needed him to do. He told my husband that the "housing" of the old bathroom exhaust fan was larger than the new one. He suggested just replacing the "guts" of the ceiling fan so there wouldn't be a fit issue and wouldn't cause more work and cost to have someone repair the empty space. Before he left he asked my husband if we needed anything else done. My husband called me to verify, and I had forgotten to ask that the outside electrical plug and light on the back be checked since it seemed to work intermittently. The owner checked them, his assessment was that there were no electrical issues with those items (whew! saved me more $$$). He suggested that I replace and reseal the fixtures to the wall. He stated that he did see dirt in the fixtures and that when they get dust, it does make fixtures unreliable. Before he left, he packed up our old ceiling fan in the box the new ceiling fan came in. He also neatly corralled the replaced plugs and exhaust fan. Both my husband and I were pleased with the service, professionalism, ability to take care of our needs on such short notice. He also saved us money by letting us know that we could replace those outside fixtures when we were able instead of paying him to do it for us.

The provider contacted me the day after I but the service and we agreed to contact each other when we both had an available time. However, I changed jobs soon after that and my new work hours do not allow me to be available during his work day. I think we will still be able to find a time somehow.

We have a number of small electrical needs that need addressing, and so used Angies List Deals to "Try an electrical service", thinking also that if our experience was a positive one we would have a reliable electrical service to use again. We used a $99 deal for 2 hours of service which had been ordered in De, 2012. When we were ready for the service, we were accommodated in a few days. Antonio and Jeff both came, did all the work we had to do that day in a speedy and efficient manner, had us or showed us that the electrical items that did not work before now worked, answered any questions we had, and allowed us to discuss further work that we needed to have done. Treated us with respect, and was very candid in suggesting what we needed to buy in preparation for the future work. In other words gave us the information for these purchases that were necessary and did not try to talk us into items or service that was more money than the jobs actually needed.

It was a fantastic experience, start to finish. Antonio was able to come out the same afternoon to estimate the work, and was able to schedule the work for the first morning we were ready for him. He was knowledgable, flexible, and a pleasure to work with. We were surprised that he was both meticulous and fast, a combination not usually seen in electricians. My husband remarked last night that if we had had 5 Star Electric do all our electric work, he wouldn't have had 1/2 the patch jobs he's repaired. We are very, very pleased, and will call 5 Star Electric again in the future.

The electrician arrived bright and early. He assessed the situation and showed us how he would have to install the lights and how long it may take. He also discussed what materials he had to go purchase before getting started. He returned with the necessary materials and began to do the job. Two and a half hours later, the job was completed! He showed us the completed work and we were delighted! He did a very good job! He cleaned up after he was done. Overall, great job and am looking forward to hiring him again to continue the other electrical work that's needed in our new home!

I found Five Star Electric on Angies List. The company is owned by Antonio Mondragon. I first contacted Antonio by email. He responded promptly and made an appointment to give me an estimate. I got three estimates and and they were all close. I decided to go with Antonio because he is a small business. The job went very smoothly, Antonio and his helper were extremely professional, got the job done quickly and cleanly. They didn't finish because I forgot to get one of the fixtures. I called Antonio when I got the fixture and he made and appointment to come finish right away. I can't say enough about how professional, polite, cooperative,and prompt Antonio is, the quality of his work is outstanding. I am so pleased with everything he did. I will definitely call him whenever I need any electrical work done. Thank you, thank you for such a painless experience

My husband made an appointment with Antonio which he was able to schedule within a few days. He explained that because he had to come from his location in Rio Rancho to ours in Cedar Crest, the travel time would involve about one of the two hours in the deal. Antonio called the day before to confirm. The morning of the appointment he called and inquired if it was convenient for him to arrive early, which we agreed upon. He listened to my husband's description of the problem, isolated the cause (a shorted neutral wire) and fixed it. We were impressed with his work, punctuality, and overall professionalism.

The coupon is for 2 hrs, but the work was done in 1 hr because the gentleman who came is very fast and efficient. Material cost added up faster than I would have expected. Overall it was still less than some other electricians have charged in the past for similar work.

The work was excellent, done quickly and expertly. He was very easy to deal with, explained every detail of the work, and gave us exactly what we wanted. We will certainly use him when we again need electrical work, and will recommend him to others.

I took advantage of the "Big Deal" on Angie's list - $99 for up to 2 hours of electrical work from Five Star Electrical. After purchasing the deal online, I called and spoke to Antonio and told him what I needed. It was not an emergency, but he was at my house about 90 minutes later, even though he had to drive from the West side to the NE heights. He installed an outlet for my gas dryer, a GFI outlet in a bathroom and then replaced a broken outlet. He also tightened a loose outlet. The cost of the supplies was an additional $48. I asked Antonio about his training and experience, something I always ask of anyone doing work at my house. He had a good start with a father who was an electrician. He not only had on-the-job training (I think the best way to learn) but also studied the trade at CNM. I would highly recommend his services and will definitely call him again if I need electrical work.

Overall, the experience went very well. Their price seemed to be within reason, they did more than what was expected and they did a great job!

On my first call Antonio answered and was in my neighborhood at the time. He was able to come to my home within about an hour to look at the project and give me an estimate. His schedule allowed him to start within a few days and we were able to set a date, time, and price very quickly. He and a helper (Jose) arrived on time and set up. Because of the design of my new track lights the stickers indicating maximum wattage for bulbs were on the outside and very visible. I asked Antonio to remove them as they were being installed. He was very reluctant because if the lamps got scratched while getting the stickers off then his customer (me) would be unhappy. There were other "worst case scenarios" that he pointed out letting me know that jobs don't always go without problems. Antonio and Jose were generally cheerful but extremely cautious, telling me frequently about what could potentially go wrong and each instance when the project took an unexpected direction. Sometimes this was helpful, sometimes it was irritating. Once the work started, with some changes in placement of outlets because of obstacles with in the wall, it went smoothly. However, by the end of the day only about 1/2 of the job had been completed. Antonio said it was a more difficult job than he expected. After some discussion I agreed to eliminate the additional "4 gang' box installation and to increase his fee. They agreed to return the next day to finish the job. Antonio called the next morning to say they were running about 1/2 hour behind. They arrived when they said they would. Generally, they got the job done and the work was fine but it took longer and cost more than originally expected. And it was very stressful to hear, maybe 10 times in the course of 2 days, that the job was more involved than expected and anything additional was going to cost extra (like removing the stickers which, eventually, got done at no extra cost). The job ended on an up note and I am satisfied with the work.
