I have used FM Mechanical for the last 15 years or so. I've bought a water heater, new swamp cooler and new furnace through them. I usually get in touch with Steve for my seasonal change over, however I have been unsuccessful in getting in touch with Steve this last attempt. I have left many voice and text messages and none have been returned. I have left messages on the business Facebook page too. For whatever reason Steve is not returning my calls. I'm unsure why. Overall, I have always been pleased with his work and we have great rapport. I'm at a loss. I worry about the warranty on my existing products now since I can't get a hold of him.

I would recommend this contractor to anyone. It took a few times for him to respond. The repair was for a rental and I live out of state. My tenants also work so I couldn't have my tenants take a day off work in order for repairs to be done during the week. I had to arrange the work to be done on the weekends. I had thought everything was squared away to have work done on a Sunday but the contractor never showed.

Great. Work is always done well and don't have issues afterwards. Pricing is fair and service is professional.

They have been my furnace people for years and I am very satisfied with them. Because they are essentially a one-person shop, it is sometimes hard to get hold of Steve, but when you do, he comes right out. Because my previous swamp cooler person had retired, and Steve said he also does swamp coolers, I had him set mine up for Spring and close it down for the winter this October. I was pleased with its performance and operation all summer. When he closed it down, he left the summer hookup on the outside hose bib, so I couldn't put the cap on to protect it from freezing, but when I called this to his attention, he came right out and fixed it - and put the cap on for me.

Steve had performed a quote to a neighbor and our neighbor had told him we were interested in central air, he told the neighbor he would be able to give us a great price. Our neighbor gave us his business card... I hate to have to report a bad experience, but unfortunately I feel my fustrating experience needs to be passed on. I initially called Steve on April 16th and left a message stating we were interested in central air and would like to schedule a time to get a quote done. I called again on the 19th as I hadn't heard back from him. I then received a call back the following day and we did set up a time for Steve to come out to the house, Monday at 8am. I asked him to call prior to arriving as our door bell was not working. I was home, waiting and when it got to be well after 8 I called him and he told me he had been out to the house and no one answered the door and he told me he tried calling me but it went to voicemail. I checked my phone and thought that was strange as it was on and working fine. I asked to reschedule and this time I waited at the door. He was very nice in person and when he was done looking at the house he told me he would have a quote done later that day or for sure by the following day. I had given him my email and fax number and told him either method of delivery would be fine. Nothing arrived for several days and I called him on the 26th of April to let him know we hadn't received anything. I didn't hear back and called 2 days later, he answered and told me he had emailed the quote and thought it was strange that I didn't have it. I checked all folders, including junk email and did not find a quote from him. I asked if he could fax it and he told me he would. Another few days went by and I called again asking where the quote was he told me, again how strange it was that I hadn't received it. I have given up now! He was full of excuses on why the quote didn't arrive, I had even asked for the quote to be dropped off at the house and I offered to meet him somewhere. I was persistent because of the previous ratings I saw. I still wish we could get a quote!

I own 10 rental units and FM Mechanical has been my service company since the late1990's. I've always been happy with the service and the price. Since my apartments are 34 years old and my home is well over 100 years old I rely on Steve to be creative as well as competent when it comes to solving their unique problems. Steve is very thoughtful and respectful and goes above what's expected when working on the apartments or my home. Since I've worked with FM Mechanical for so many years it is hard to give an exact amount, but I spend around $1,500.00 a year. He gets high marks from me all around and I frequently recommend him to others.

It went very well. timelines were honored and the heating portion of the system functions great. We"ll get back on the cooling piece when we use it.

They are very honest, and very knowledgeable. They also have very reasonable prices.

He is just as decent as can be. He always give me a good price. I have not had any trouble with any of the work he has done. He is so nice I just want to adopt him. I am thinking of using him for some handyman work as well.

They are excellent. They are courteous. Always on time. They respond quickly to emergencies.
