Sal and his crew remodeled my kitchen last month. It was my first remodel ever, and I was very nervous as I had no idea what to expect. But, from start to finish, it was such an excellent experience! My smallish galley kitchen had just turned 30 and was definitely in need of an update. I worked with Sal and Lydia to combine my ideas with theirs, and I am absolutely thrilled with the result! The custom made cabinets are beautiful, as are the new quartz counters, tilework, lighting, and appliances. Sal coordinated everything and communicated with me on a daily basis as to who would be arriving, when they would arrive, and what they would do. He often stopped by to check on the progress and touch base with me. The crew also did a great job cleaning up at the end of every work day. Sal had said that the remodel would take 4 weeks, and that is exactly how long it took. I cannot say enough about the professionalism and quality of Enchantment Cabinetry & Design. Very highly recommended.

Excellent! They refaced a built-in linen closet from the 1940's. There were four large drawers that I struggled to open and close. They matched a color for me so my newly refaced cabinet matches my interior doors. I now have easy to operate new soft close drawers and beautiful hardware that they suggested and installed. Quality work! Thank you Enchantment Cabinetry!

After years of talking, and months of interviewing and pricing, we hired Enchantment Cabinetry & Design LLC to assist us with our kitchen remodel. Sal and his team walked us through the design phase and linked us with other subcontractors (electrical, plumbing, mechanical) we needed for the project. Enchantment built and installed our cabinets, granite countertops, and tile backsplash. All aspects of the work were timely, well-coordinated and professional. We love our new kitchen and are planning to ask Sal to assist us with an upcoming master bath remodel.

We had new vanities, mirrors, light fixtures, sinks, etc redone in 2 bathrooms. Sal and his crew did a terrific job and we love our new bathrooms. This was all done in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic and they were very respectful of our safety as well as our privacy. The countertop people are real pros and helped us by refinishing our old kitchen quartz counter. It looks better than new now. The crew was always on time and cleaned up after themselves and Sal was excellent at communicating with me throughout the process. I will use them again for our other bath and would highly recommend them.

Hiring a local business was a must for us! Our kitchen remodel was an exciting time for us! The business we chose proved to be an excellent choice! Every detail was taken care of, and every question I had, was answered! The craftsmanship was impeccable and every employee respected our time and privacy! I can’t say enough about the owner Sal - He knows how to communicate and helped us make some of our decisions! We are very pleased and happy with our new kitchen! We highly recommend Enchantment Cabinetry & Design!
Enchantment Cabinetry And Design, LLC Review I. Quick review (more detailed review below): We are very pleased with the work Enchantment Cabinetry and Design, LLC did for us. The work was meticulous and the price very reasonable. Sal and Lydia Lozano and their team were knowledgeable, dedicated, hard-working and easy to work with. We were inexperienced with the home renovation and remodeling process and tended to worry a lot. Sal often "talked us off the ledge" and offered solutions and reassurance to our concerns, while Lydia provided clever and aesthetic design options for our Nob Hill home. We highly recommend this company and plan to work with them again in the future. II. Detailed review (quick review above): We have a small, older house in Nob Hill that needed structural repair, utility upgrades and a complete bathroom and kitchen remodel. We wanted an experienced general contractor to oversee the entire project because there was so much work of different types to be done. Fortunately, we came across Enchantment Cabinetry and Design, LLC, in our search. The owners, Sal and Lydia Lozano, have been in this line of work for nearly a quarter of a century and had the qualifications and experience we were looking for (in fact, their alternate business name is Enchantment Design and Remodeling, LLC). Sal and Lydia were mindful of the uniqueness of the Nob Hill area and proposed design options complementary to our home. Our complicated project required considerable planning and design, beginning in May 2019, with demolition and renovations starting in late Fall and lasting through early March, 2020. Sal efficiently coordinated all the subcontractor work needed for the electrical and plumbing upgrades as well as all the work his own team did. He handled all the design documents and permitting required by the City and dealt with the inspectors. Enchantment does everything to code, so managing the permitting process is an invaluable service. We were close at hand to help with any and all decisions but had confidence in Sal to guide the process and do the work. Our house had some structural issues, apparently not surprising in these older houses around town. The support for one load bearing wall was eroding under the house. We also had joists that had been compromised during construction many years ago. Sal's team installed new concrete pillars in the crawl space beneath the house, reinforced the joists and stabilized everything. (Yea, the closet door closes again!) This was difficult work done in a tight space and even required the dismantling and removal of a decaying water heater left in the crawl space pit. Sal replaced the original electrical service, upgrading it to 200 amp service sufficient for the needs of homes today, and installed circuits to bring the house up to City code and electrical safety. No longer do we have 75% of the power load on one circuit which was designed before microwaves and blow dryers. In addition, gas, water, and sewer services were all upgraded, eliminating maintenance and code issues under the house and a previously retrofitted utility room. Along the way, an aging conventional water heater was replaced with an energy efficient tankless version. We encountered a few unexpected obstacles in the process but Sal always had a solution (his motto: “Every problem has a solution”). Sal had warned us early on that unforeseen problems typically come up, that they are handled in approved change orders, and that he would do his best to keep any additional cost reasonable, which we think he did. Our bathroom had water damage from a leaking flat roof (now replaced) and cracked tile from floor instability (mentioned above), so our remodel required taking the room down to the studs and installing new drywall for both walls and ceiling, floor joists reinforcement, and new subfloor and tile. We had the tub replaced with a tiled walk-in shower with glass panels and door. Sal uses the Schluter system and line of products for waterproofing shower walls, pans, and floors. Our bathroom is small and irregularly shaped. The conventional door made access a bit tight. Sal converted our standard door to a pocket door and opened up the space considerably. It was a great idea. The kitchen was a complete remodel with new custom cabinets and under-lighting (with wireless dimming remote); electrical wiring, outlets, switches; ceiling lighting; granite countertops and country sink; appliances. The cabinets are custom-made with our layout and style design, wood and stain selection, and hardware selection. They are sturdy, spacious and absolutely lovely! Sal and Lydia devoted considerable time to the design process, with several iterations until we were completely satisfied. They referred us to their appliance vendors to choose a complementary appliance package and take advantage of his contractor discounts. After being back in the house for a month we are still awed when we walk into the kitchen and see the beautiful transformation. Sal oversaw the construction aspects of the work while Lydia collaborated on design. We really needed her guidance since we were new to this process. Our rooms are small and we wanted to maximize the space. Lydia had great suggestions for this as well as selections of tile, granite, hardware and accessories we could choose from. Having her listen to our ideas, look at photos of designs and styles we thought we might like and then having her do some initial selections for us was incredibly helpful. There are so many choices out there that we would have been overwhelmed if left completely on our own. One other thing of note, the workers all seemed hard-working, dedicated, efficient, and respectful of our home. They were always polite and took the time to answer our questions when we interrupted their work. We are very pleased with the final outcome and highly recommend this company.

Sal and the team from Enchanted Cabinetry spent a couple months renovating our neighbor’s house. We were so impressed by their work that we hired them to renovate our master bathroom. Although there was a waiting list to schedule the work, we stayed in contact with Sal and met with his staff to select cabinets, countertop, fixtures and accessories. During the selection process we were always happy with Enchantment Cabinetry’s service. During the renovation, Sal’s team showed up every day on time and thoroughly cleaned their work space at the end of the day. Sal frequently stopped by the house to see progress and review the work being done. Sal also texted us every night to let us know who/when would be at the house the following day and what work could be expected. Sal’s team finished four days ahead of projected schedule and the finished product was amazing! We were extremely happy with the work and are already talking about a kitchen remodel. Thanks, Enchantment Cabinetry!

We hired them to do a master bathroom remodel. The best way to describe how it went is that a few weeks after that was completed we were so pleased that we hired them to do the kitchen & other bathroom remodel, along with replacing the tile in the rest of the house. 5 stars for price, design, workmanship, communication, diligence, and results. My son-in-law is a contractor in Austin, TX and he was very impressed with their work.

We started looking for a company to remodel our bathroom at the beginning of 2019. We did an intense research as to what a remodel of this type would cost, how long it would take for completion and the types of materials were best for this project. Little did we know! We started our search for a local company and after a few weeks of searching and reviewing estimates, we came across Enchantment Cabinetry & Design, LLC. When we walked into their showroom (which is beautiful by the way), both Sal and his wife greeted us in a very professional manner, asked us what we were looking for and listened to us go on about the project we wanted to start. We made an appointment to have Sal come out and take a look at our bathroom that same week; he took measurements and asked if there were any specifics we wanted to include in our design. Little did he know, I had a few favorites from magazines and a few print outs I had seen on different websites. After receiving the estimate, we decided we wanted to set an appointment to meet with them and get this remodel moving forward. We signed contract mid May, made our deposit and asked a million questions. Sal was very honest when it came to the time line for the fabrication and the completion of our bathroom. With in a few days we were setting appointments to meet with his wife to look at materials, paint, fixtures, hardware and design. Thankfully, with both of their help, we were able to make our final selections and decisions to move forward. With in a couple of weeks, we got a call with the confirmation of our start day. I can't say how excited I was to hear we were only weeks away from a beautiful bathroom remodel. Four weeks later, our Master Bathroom was completely finished. Sal's crew is wonderful, hard working and trustworthy. We couldn't have chosen a better company to hire for this remodel. We are thrilled with how our remodel came out. We would definitely hire them again!
After much thought and deliberation, I have decided to take the time to submit this review. This is the first review i have ever written. Hopefully it will help someone else so they will not experience the disappointment and frustration I experienced. In 2017 I began researching companies who could remodel my kitchen and two bathrooms. I was 74 years old at that time and had been saving for several years to pay for this remodel. I chose Enchantment Cabinetry and Design, owned by Salvador and Lydia Lozano, primarily because Sal told me they made their own cabinets. He told me his father had been a cabinet maker in Los Lunas, and that he had learned the trade and taken over the business from him. Since I wanted professional cabinetry and not cabinets from a big box store, I hired them. Sal told me his cabinets would be 100% better than my cabinets, and I believed and trusted him. I was also impressed with his beautiful showroom and his beautiful one-page advertisement in the Market Place. I gave them a check for half of the total project in June 2017, even though they did not start my project until January 2018, almost seven months later. He wanted upfront payment to guarantee no change in price. This was mistake number one. Things were okay the first couple months, although there were a few issues. Once the cabinets had been installed, however, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the cabinetry. They definitely do not compare to my old cabinets. The cabinets installed are cheap, the door panels are disgustingly thin, the little wood that was used is soft and nicks easily, the shelving warps. They do not compare to the cabinets in the showroom, nor do they compare to the cabinets at Home Depot or Lowes. I voiced my disappointment to Sal and began to see a change in his demeanor. He became angry, disrespectful, and began to bully me. Sal accused me of trying to get out of paying him. He told me he has had customers in the past complain when it came time to pay, but that he "knew how to handle those types of situations". ME...who paid him for half of the project seven months before they started the project! ME...who paid him immediately after the completion of each bathroom! ME...who gave him a $10,000 advance when he asked for it. Sometime during the kitchen project, Sal contacted me and told me he would take $900 off the remaining total bill if I would advance him $10,000. He called it the "good neighbor discount." I gave him the money, but when I later received the final bill, I noted that there were now additional, ridiculous charges amounting to more than the $900! Sal accused me of "nit-picking" when I brought things to his attention such as: The grout around the granite was cracking and coming off. Several cabinet doors jumped at closure or did not fit or close completely. There was EXPOSED wiring in three areas on top of the cabinets where the LED lights had been installed. Workers used DOUBLE-SIDED MASKING TAPE to attach electrical plug covers instead of screws! I discovered this when the weather warmed up and the covers began to fall! The LED light railing or border was improperly cut and had noticeable gaps. The border at the bottom of the cabinets (toe kicks) is held by thin staples, similar to staples used for paper. The border comes off when I accidentally kick it or hit it with the vacuum attachment. There are gaps in several areas of the floor tile. It appears they did not apply enough grout. The cut-out for the stove vent was improperly cut and was "corrected" by covering it with tape. The company painter did a terrible job in every single area he spackled or painted. In one wall he applied GLOSS paint on a FLAT paint surface. He did not paint the entire area, but merely applied paint strokes! He also applied sparkle in one area of my living room, even though it was not part of the remodel. The stove was installed (per Sal's design) less than half an inch from the refrigerator. When you open the refrigerator door, it hits the oven door handle, which has caused scratches on my new refrigerator door! They did not clean my garage where they had been working and cutting tile. They left four months worth of dirt and debris, which I had to clear and clean. A week before the project was completed, Sal sent me a text demanding payment of the project balance. Since my appliances had not yet been delivered and installed, nor did I have a date as to when this would be done, I refused to pay him until delivery and installation. He became belligerent and threatened me with a lawsuit. (The contract specifically stated, "Balance is due upon completion of project". ) Also, in his text he stated that he needed payment so he could clear his account with Builder's Source. I guess he forgot that I had given him a check eight months earlier to cover the cost of the appliances! I had a difficult time getting him to come to my home to "fix" things. He asked for a list of things still needing work. I gave it to him. Two months later, he sent someone; however, that person never finished. What he did fix, he fixed with tape or wood putty. When I reached out to Sal asking when they were coming back to finish, he said he didn't know anything about it. I am still waiting for him to come replace two defective cabinet doors he told me in April he would replace. A month ago, I asked him about the status of the replacement doors since I hadn't heard from him. He told me that he was not going to replace anything. He accused me of being disrespectful for asking! He also sent a follow-up text advising me that this company, Enchantment Cabinetry & Design had been dissolved and is now a new company with new ownership. If this is true, this tells me that obviously there are more people out there with similar experiences, and it is simply easier to start over. What a nightmare this has been! I am now convinced that he does NOT make his cabinets, as I was lead to believe, but that he buys pre-fab cabinets, or he buys them from a cabinet broker. I am now in the process of saving my money once again so I can have these ugly cabinets replaced! Another thing I noticed, Sal utilized licensed professionals very sparingly. He used them at the beginning, and they did a professional job. The rest of the job was done by low skilled workers, and no one ever came to check their work. I asked Sal if there were any inspections done to a remodel, he told me that inspections were done only in new construction. I am so sorry I used this company. This was a very expensive mistake.

We had the same good experience described here by many other satisfied customers. We started planning our kitchen cabinetry renovation project from out of state in advance of moving to Santa Fe. After examining the web sites of several cabinet makers, I flew to New Mexico to meet with six of them. We selected Enchantment based on Sal’s willingness to accommodate our wants, on the quality of the workmanship on display in their showroom, on the competitiveness of their pricing, and because they do the associated work as needed beyond the cabinetry (tile, electric, lighting, plumbing, drywall, appliances). I am a wood enthusiast, and the quality of the lumber, case materials and craftsmanship was key. We selected knotty walnut for the stiles, rails and facing, and knotty alder for the raised door and drawer panels. High quality birch plywood for the cases (not a fan of melamine). It came out beautifully. We are grateful and relieved, as a kitchen renovation is a huge project that is usually done very few times in a lifetime. I want to especially note the quality of the staff Sal employs. Conscientious, really talented craftsman took care of us at each step of the project. Sal, Francisco, Omar, George, Alfredo, Sugey ... everyone that we interacted with at Enchantment gave us the impression that quality is important to them, that properly completing our project is important to them. Good, prompt communication throughout the project.

Enchantment Cabinet did a great job. From the start, Sal explained exactly what would happen at all stages of remodel. The crew was professional and kept a clean workplace. Top notch job. When complete, the kitchen looked beautiful. The boss,(my wife) was so happy! Thanks Enchantment. Tom
Sal and his crew are amazing. We started looking to remodel in January 2016 and almost gave up until one night my husband came home and pulled a card out of his pocket and said give them a call, I'm so happy I did. Their work is amazing, it was about a seven-week project, any questions or concerns were answered right away. This was our first remodel and I know they will be back to do more work on this old house.

Let me start with the important stuff, in case you don't read the whole review. First off, Salvador (Sal) is very easy to work with, knows his stuff and has very high standards. His tile guy, Larry, is incredible and pays so much attention to detail. His cabinets are very high quality and very well priced, as compared to others we looked into. If you are looking for a simple remodel or going all out, do yourself a favor and get a quote from Sal - you won't regret it! Now some of the details... . We have an older style home with "well defined" rooms and we wanted a more open floor plan. We worked with a designer to come up with a plan and then took that plan to a few contractors. As usual, some contractors did not impress and some did... until they produced their bid. We were about to go back to the drawing board when a friend recommended we check out Enchantment Cabinetry - "just call Sal", he said!. So we did... and Sal gave us a very reasonable bid and we went with it and could not be happier! If you are looking for everything from one company, Enchantment is where you should go. We had walls knocked down, a new wall built, all the flooring replaced, new toilets, all new kitchen cabinets, appliances, sink, disposal, faucet and 18 recessed lights installed. I mentioned the home is older so, yes, we had an upgraded power panel installed too. This was more than a kitchen remodel - they basically built us a new house under the roof of the old one! We could not be happier! Sal's crews are wonderful, hard working and trustworthy. Sal was incredible to work with and has high standards for his work. The best thing about Sal was that even if something met industry and his standards, if it didn't meet mine he would change it until it did. I can't say enough good things about Sal and Enchantment Cabinetry and Design... just very, very happy with their work!

Sal was very easy to work with. He absolutely understood what we had in mind and offered several suggestions to improve the asthetics of the design. He did a great job of designing a cabinet and counter for an unusually shaped space which turned out beautifully. The total price for the custom designed cabinets was actually less than it would have cost for big box store cabinets (kraft maid, etc.). Sal and his crew were on time with every aspect of the job, and extremely careful and professional during installation. There were a couple of minor issues with the counter which were out of Sal's control, and he worked with his supplier and us to make everything right. We could not be happier with the outcome. I have been recommending Enchantment Cabinetry to all of our friends. Thanks Sal, Steve Schroeger

I have to say that I have used Enchantment Cabinetry before. They remodeled my kitchen. This was also a gut job and their creativity and workmanship were excellent. This was also true when they remodeled my laundry room. I sat with Sal and using his computer we designed the laundry room. We did this with my kitchen as well. Sal was attentive to my needs and wants. He was extremely gracious when I changed my mind about a particular aspect of the design. I admit I could be a pain. The workers were extremely knowledgeable, polite, and excellent workers. They concentrated on completing the job and doing it in a manner that showed a strong work ethic. They cleaned up after themselves and left the work space immaculate each and every day.
Description of Work: The latest remodel was to gut my laundry room. We then put in new cabinetry that included a cabinets over the washer/dryer and other storage cabinets including a closet for vacuum, brooms and shelving for cleaning supplies. They placed a sink along with a place for hanging and folding laundry. Along with this they were able to put in a drawer ironing board. They made use of every inch of available space.

First of all let me start by saying that I contacted over 5 different companies to build us a custom kitchen island and NONE of them responded except one that gave us a ridiculously high quote. Finally I found Sal and his team on Angie's list and gave it a try. They quickly met with us and said the island would be no problem. They gave us a fair price too. We ended up also doing our kitchen countertops through Enchantment as well, because they charge for square footage used, not by the slab. Big savings there. The communication was great. The front desk, the installers, the owner, everyone was prompt, polite and accommodating to me and my schedule. The work itself is beautiful. We got an expresso stained island with a white quartz countertop and it looks fantastic. The countertops are also perfectly installed with a seam that is barely noticeable. The ONLY complaint I have is a small 6'x12' section of the island that the stain came out spotty. Sal said it was probably the wood but would be happy to come and restain. I will likely have them come try to get the stain even on that area... great service is the fact that they are willing to come out and do that for us! I will recommend Enchantment and will definitely be using them again once we have the money saved up to do our bathrooms. They are super. Highly recommended.

They did a very good job. Unlike most places, they do everything. They did dry walling, flooring, cabinets, counter tops, sinks, plumbing and electrical. This is what I am looking for in a contract. Over all, they did an excellent job. I had 3 contractors one was only doing the cabinets so I need to look for who will do the flooring, counter tops, etc. The other gave me a price of 35000 but there's cheaper.

Sal and his people were great to work with. From the first visit to our home to last, it was a pleasure to work with them. Sal was punctual and friendly when he came for our design ideas and measurements; he gave suggestions of things we would never have thought of, like adding a bar countertop on the pony wall separating the kitchen from the living room that would match the other countertops. He incorporated changes we thought of before the final plans were drawn up. His final estimate was well below the other contractor we contacted (about half!) Lydia helped us choose the floor and backsplash tiles, and also made suggestions of things we hadn't considered. The estimate of 7 to 10 weeks from initial order to cabinet completion was accurate. Work began about 7 weeks after the order. Enchantment works with a local appliance supplier, so they coordinate all installation; it's one-stop shopping, and you get the contractor pricing. All the workmen were pleasant and extremely professional, always arriving on time and cleaning up thoroughly at the end of each work-day. When we discovered we had misjudged the size of a bench they custom made for us, they made a new one to our corrected specifications. Sal really has an eye for detail and takes care of everything down to making sure the switchplate covers coordinate. We are looking forward to have Enchantment re-do our bathrooms in the future.

The employees were polite, efficient, and punctual. They always gave us several hours notice as to when they would arrive and they always arrived at the appointed time. All our options were carefully explained. The craftsmanship of the custom made vanity is excellent.

The quality of the cabinetry was very good but I think that establishing communication with the guy that did the design was more difficult than it should've been. It was pretty much positive because they did a good job but it was kind of hard to get the guy to do what we wanted him to do. Maybe he just didn't want my wife to tell him what to do.
Description of Work: We used Enchantment Cabinetry & Design. They totally replaced some kitchen cabinets.

Meetings to obtain quote and vendors home visit went very well. Everything on hold while obtaining financing.
Description of Work: Worked with Sal and received an initial quote. Found him and his staff to be extremely knowledgable, very professional, with quality products for cabinet making and making well informed recommendations/suggestions. We are working on financing and plan to work with Sal again after first of the year if not sooner. Felt pricing was reasonable and the workman ship on examples I saw were top notch.
