Empire Yard Maintenance

Description of Work: I purchased a voucher and did not receive an email or phone call but a message on Angie's list which took several days for me to receive. To make a long story short, the scheduling wa difficult and the worker showed up on a day that was not scheduled and I was not at home but agreed to have him do the work while I was not there. To say the least what was done was not satisfactory. I will not use them again and in fact I am now less likely to purchase these deal vouchers in the future. It's just not wort my it.

Description of Work: Pruning and de-weeding my bushes in front yard.

Description of Work: They cleaned debris from rock landscape. I was amazed at the wonderful result.

Description of Work: They cleaned up the area i asked them to. The only downaide is i talked to the owner that morning and he said the crew ahould be there soon. However, they didnt show up till nearly 5 hours |later

Description of Work: Weeded back yard. It was so back that they worked longer than the time paid for and came back another day to finish the job. Provided an estimate for a permanent solution to my weed and "diggy dogs" problem. Future work has been scheduled.

Description of Work: First, let me start off by saying this was very disappointing, and this business has gone on my list of my contractors never to use. I value honesty and straightforwardness above all else, so when somebody tells me they're going to do something, I generally believe that's what they're going to do. My story starts when I was browsing for deals on yard work. Recently, Empire had a deal for two hours of service for $69. Before buying the deal, I decided to call and make sure they could perform the service I needed on my front yard. I was reassured that yes, it would all be fine, although (and this should have been a red alert for me, but because I generally consider people to be honest, it wasn't) the deal is "to try and establish repeat service." I replied with, "Yes, I understand," because to me that's obviously the purpose of any deal, and I am at no shortage of things that need to be done on this yard. I went through with buying the deal, then through Angie's List messaging, set up a date and time for service. I gave them multiple ways to contact me including phone and e-mail, but strangely received no final confirmation from them. Deciding to give them the benefit of the doubt, I waited until the scheduled day of service, but no one came or called. I can only assume that Empire decided my piddly $69 was not worth the effort and decided not to show up. There goes my repeat business. On the other hand, the more optimistic side of me says, "Well, maybe they just forgot," which is also unacceptable because they're a business and it's their responsibility to remember where they're supposed to be and when. It is not my responsibility as the customer to remind them to do their job. I did not call or try and reschedule service because I no longer give second chances to contractors that are not trustworthy. That was my experience though. Perhaps if you wave dollar bills at them and promise hundreds more right off the bat, they will take your patronage seriously and actually show up when they say they will.

Description of Work: Empire thatched the grass and fertilized the grass.

Description of Work: Empire Yard maintenance aerated the back lawn and fertilized the yard. They were unpunctual and efficient. I would use their services again.

Description of Work: The project was to replace retaining wall, add sprinklers and sod. I was pleased with the job and David's care in making sure the job was done right. |When they were done, they left work site clean and neat.

Description of Work: David was very professional in all my dealings with him. He was prompt and was informative with all his suggestions. I ended up doing the work myself, so I did not use his services.

Description of Work: From start to finish, this company provided prompt, courteous and professional service. I had thought my brick floor was beyond hope, but they gave it new life and it looks fantastic!

Description of Work: We were extremely happy with the work done by Empire Yard Maintenance. They were prompt, friendly, and in just a short amount of time, they brought life back into a yard that I thought was dead. They were great! |

Description of Work: They laid down weed block and gravel over a section of our yard. Unfortunately, they removed some block tops from a wall we had built and broke several of them. They did not put the blocks back where they belonged nor tell us about the damage.

Description of Work: I used Empire to clean up the yard. Empire's employees showed up on time and did great work. I also am now using them for my weekly lawn maintenance, and am very happy. I would definitely recommend David and his company to others.

Description of Work: Backyard cleanup, removed old rocks and put in new and bigger rocks, removed 3 cypress trees, and planted 6 new plants.
