Empire Yard Maintenance

They were hired through the 150.00 four hour offer. Arrived on time, listened to my requests, worked the whole time, 2 men each two hours. Excellent job.

There were some areas that weren't cleaned thoroughly-leaves in the bushes,etc. The majority of the job was done well.

They always do a great job for me. They are reliable and make sure that they clean up afterwards. When I get a quote that is what I always pay.

Cut weeds with string cutter in front, side, back yards, and hot tub area. Removed leaves and pine needles from same yards, large patio, 2 porches, and flower beds. Applied weed killer to all areas. Suggested and cut small branches overhanging gate. Complete cleanup. Two workers for 2 hours.

Very well. The yard looks great! I had a question for David -- he always answers emails promptly and I appreciate that.

The yard looks great. They cleaned up all the leaves and branches in our back yard, which is pretty large, and still took time to clean the sides of the house and the front yard. They did such a good job I will be calling on them to do periodic work on my yard. There two men team that did the work was highly professional and hard working.

The yard looks incredible. They racked under the bushes and cleaned all the leaves which collected around them. They left the yard clear and did such a good job, I'd like to get them to come out routinely.

Two men arrived on time for yard debris clean-up. They were courteous and listened to my instructions. Asked appropriate questions, then got to work. They did extra things to fill up the two hours, including raking up leaves and using the blower to clear the porch and sidewalks. I was very pleased with their work, and plan to get an estimate for more projects.

I would recommend Empire to anyone who needs their yard done. I had two gentlemen show up to work on my backyard. They showed up when they said they would and promptly got to work after I showed them what I wanted done. They did get 99% of my backyard done with the time they had. I will be contacting them again to come and clean again.

Dave was very nice and gave some great suggestions. The work was great, a couple issues with the drip system. But David was very responsive and help fixed the issues. We are happy with how it looks.

I purchased the 4 hours of yard cleanup from Empire on Dec. 11. I did not realize the first message from Empire had to take place through the Angie's List message service, and I did not know I had a message waiting from Dave, the owner. Once we got past that, we tried to schedule the service. The weather did not cooperate. Leaf removal, etc., does not work when the ground is wet and it snowed the first two appointments. The third appointment was the charm. Toby and Mike showed up at 10:15 am on the scheduled day, they were professional and friendly, they made helpful suggestions and they got right to work. They worked non-stop for the next two hours, dragging tarp after tarp full of leaves to their trailer parked on the street. They managed to get the front and back yards cleaned up within the allotted time. Dave advised me that the deal included half a trailer - if the leaves filled a full trailer, it would be an extra $25. I gave the check to Mike and Toby when they were done - the trailer was full. I had seen them stomping down the leaves to compact the load, so there was no "fluffing" involved. They left promptly at 12:15 (the four hours is for two guys working two hours each.) My husband and I are very pleased with the way the yard looks, and we will call Empire again.

The two workers were courteous and professional. They worked diligently. I felt that they wanted to do as much work as possible in the time that I had paid for.

It was a little bit of a rough start but now it's working out very well. I wouldn't give them an A overall because of the price. They did stick with the schedule. The people that we interacted with were very nice and friendly.

This was a big deal purchase. It was okay. I was a little disappointed in the service, actually. I felt like, perhaps, I probably would not use them again. They did not charge me any more than the price of the deal. I thought that they should have been able to accomplish a lot more than they did. I think it was a miscommunication and I think what should have been a lot more clear was that they the hours included the time it takes to haul the stuff away. I did not realize that. I was not there at the house when the work was done. They contacted me afterward and we talked about it. They were responsive. I had expected a little bit more and I wish they would have been more forthcoming with that.

Two young men blew the debris while raking and sifting it out of the gravel. Did a nice, thorough, careful and speedy job. Because I had paid for four hours' work and the cleaning only took a scant hour for the two workers, David sent two different workers out the next week to trim the grasses, which took at least one more hour. So the whole yard is now very clean and maintained for the winter. Don't expect expertise when you have a yard cleanup; the workers are not very knowledgeable about plants--which lose their leaves and which don't--or what to feed them or how much to water, or whether to cut back for the winter. I did get just what I wanted--a beautifully clean, tidy yard.

Excellent, best landscaping company I have used.

I contracted with Empire Landscape through a special deal that Angie's List provided. The deal included two hours of work by two workmen. They arrived at the appointed time and began the task. Both workers were very friendly, cooperative and efficient. They completed the work within the time and left my yard very clean. I highly recommend this company.

The crew arrived about 30 minutes late but helped us complete our yard project with time to spare. Then did some general yard clean up and brush removal. Overall, we were glad we hired them.

Though I had already paid Empire Yard Maintenance for the job, I did not feel that the work had been completed, so I called the company owner, David Peltz. Mr Peltz came to look at the job that had been done and, without hesitation, agreed to send out a crew to complete the job. The crew came and the work was completed.
