Empire Yard Maintenance

David was prompt and professional. He came out and gave me a quick estimate and was very professional and knowledgeable. The pricing was reasonable. David was able to schedule the work to be done quickly. The two workers showed up on time on the day of the appointment, they were a very friendly and they did an amazing job on my yard it looks great! I’m very pleased with the work and professionalism. I will definitely be hiring Empire again.

David responded to my initial contact but missed the time on the day he was going to come by and look at the work to be done. He called 30 minutes late explaining a family event had kept him up the night before and could we reschedule. I asked him to give me a call the next day so that we could meet and I haven't received a call back. I'm disappointed in their customer service.and professionalism.

They gave me a song and dance about how they didn't have the lawn mower with them, so they would come back when they have a bigger yard cleanup. I was considering using them for weekly maintenance. I told them that was unacceptable that they would add the lawn mowing and edging in a totally different area. They did come back and do that, but my husband threw them out because they were edging down to the dirt. I used them once before and had a positive experience, that's why I called them back, but the last experience was probably a C or D.

They usually come out once a year, sometimes twice. They tell me how much and I write a check. If there's a small problem, he will come out on his way home. He will fix it, no charge. He stands by his word. That's what I like.

They are excellent. I thought that they are very reasonable. I have a bunch of shrubs that have to be shaped. They were probably here probably last month or the month before cause when I started to show the house to sell it, I had them come and retrim everything. Price wise they're very, I've used some other yard services, they are very economical. They cleaned the yard and reshaped, I had them coming a couple of times a year but they made a point to get here so when we ere taking pictures to show the house that they had it done. They clean up and trim my stuff because once you start shaping plants you gotta keep going. They are really good. They don't cost very much.

Last year, I would have given them a B. They did pretty good. Usually they did very well, but not every single time. I'm going to see how they are next year.

I contacted empire and requested a total yard cleanup on short notice- they got right back to me and scheduled a team to come out a few days later. The team came out when they said they would, were friendly and professional, and worked hard the entire time they were here. We hadn't done any maintenance on our front or back yard, and it was a big job. The price was totally reasonable for the amount of work done. I will definitely be using Empire for all of my future landscaping/maintenance needs.

They did a good job. I do it myself know, so I just don't need them again. They showed up when they were suppose to, did the job, and left. It was fine.

Friendly. Punctual. Hard work and thorough completion of yard clean-up. Not so great at getting a call-back on the phone for scheduling. Not so great at communicating due to phone-tag issues, but once arranged - all OK.

David identified the problem accurately and quickly fixed it. He also removed a dead tree stump for me. He came in time, He did very good job. I appreciate it.

The end product was great. We are very proud of it. The quality of the work was high and, David Peltz, the owner was very committed to customer satisfaction.

It was a pleasure. Workers arrived exactly at 9AM, worked hard in brutal heat, were professional and eager to do a good job (which they did), and very pleasant to interact with.

Two young men arrived on schedule. Cut and pulled brush from behind the wall. Cleaned up the debris. We were pleased with the work they did.

Well, good crew, went fast, great communication.

Our yard looks terrible and they have been here multiple times already. They do not spend the time they are supposed to when they do show up.

It went well. The owner was very responsive and the crew did good work.

I phoned and asked for spring yard clean-up as I have done 2 previous years. I waited 2 weeks for the appointment ( the Friday before Easter) which was fine because I was having guests for Easter and wanted to use the back yard for part of the day. On the appointment day no one showed up, I called the owner I think 3 times that day because they had not shown up. It took too long for him to reply, then he couldn't get hold of his crew. Finally he called and said they wouldn't be there that day because it wouldn't give them time to do the job. It took 3 visits to get the job completed and not really to the standards of previous years. The owner was neither responsive nor terribly professional during our numerous conversations. He didn't eve really know for sure when, how long or how many men had been working but was more than happy to ask for payment on the final day of visits. I spoke to him after telling the crew member that I wanted to talk to the owner before paying. After telling the owner that I was considering having regular maintenance done as I had the prior years but wanted to have it monthly rather than every 2 weeks because there wasn't enough work for every 2 weeks, I was told that he probably couldn't do that, he would have to see who he had in the area. I haven't heard from him since this conversation. So sad,, they used to have pretty good service.

They took care of everything I wanted done. It was a very good service. They were personable, smiled easily, and took care of everything.

All was provided as expected. Communication was timely.

I told the owner, the one who initially came to the house to write up the work proposal, that this was the second time I hired them and the first time wasn't exactly the greatest experience but I would give them 1 more try. The guys showed up a little late to the house, not really surprised because I had used these guys before and that was the case then too. One of the three guys was very cocky and complained about everything. He was a little rude to the other 2 and it made me feel uncomfortable. It took them about 30 minutes to actually start. The big piece of equipment they brought to use broke down in the first few minutes. All work stopped for repair efforts and more complaining by the 1 employee. After arriving that morning, the group finally started doing actual work around noon. All total it took 2 days. The work that was agreed upon was not completed. I mentioned my unhappiness before the workers packed up and requested payment. It makes me mad that I trusted this company again. I was charged a lot of money and didn't get the outcome I was told I would get. I cannot recommend this company, sorry I know people work hard to create a good reputation.

They just didn't show up. They promised me for a month they would come out and do fertilizing, weed control, trimming and all that, and they no showed three times. It was just awful. They don't communicate. I'd call, and no answer back. I'm very dissatisfied with them this year so I finally called and told them not to come back. He said they sent somebody over to power rake, they were here for about 15 minutes and they did a really crappy job. Everything else was fine, I mean, David knows what he's doing. The price is fair if they show up. When they do the work they do fine. I don't think it's professional to not show up.

They were not very timely with their services. When they said they would work for 8 hours they would come late and leave early. They didn't finish everything they said they would, they still owe me a plant. They said they would take care of this but then they wouldn't. The landscaping was very good. The yard clean up was not very good.

Excellent job was done on my yard. They guys were prompt, professional and communicative
