Duke City Rio Rancho Chem-Dry

I was very dissatisfied with the overall carpet job. They had cleaned my carpet in the past and I had been satisfied. I asked the company to clean carpet in a family room, a set of stairs and a bedroom. There was a small pet area I paid extra to have treated. It was worse than before the treatment, became more visible and got a stronger odor. I was told that part was not guaranteed, which I agreed to ,but I was very dissatisfied with the rest of the carpet job. The invoice had a paragraph that said a redo had to be within ten days. I had called and said there seems to be water marks in the room where there was no pet treatment and was told to give it a couple of days to dry out, even though it is supposed to dry in two hours, it was cold and damp weather which the manager explained,when I called. I said I wanted a different tech because I didn?t want the same one who had done what I considered a poor job. I was told he is the tech manager and he would be the one to come back despite my request.. There were lines and spots that were not there before the cleaning and some that reappeared from before the clean.I reported my dissatisfaction and the same tech was sent out,as I was told would happen, I thought for a redo. I accepted that the pet stain was not guaranteed, although I had expected some improvement. I showed him several areas, (not where the pet stain was)), where there were markings and it looked like marks were left from the chemicals not being applied evenly. The tech said, we can't rake everywhere, do you know what raking is? He got down and rubbed it with his hands to say all you need to do is rub it like this. I said, I shouldn't have to get down and rub all over the carpet with my hands for it to look good. I've had the carpet cleaned in the past and the cleaning patterns were very neat and the carpet looked smooth, not spotty afterwards. The carpet looked like some chemicals were put on it and raked haphazardly in some areas, not in others. It looked like an unprofessional job or as if someone with no experience tried to did it. He showed me the invoice and on the signature line, it had been hand written something about no guarantee for pet stains. He said you signed, no redo because I told you about the pet stain wasn?t guaranteed. My copy said in large bold print on the bottom 1 REDO SPOT CLEANING PER JOB VALID WITHIN 10 DAYS there were two paragraphs one saying redo valid within 10 days, the other i hereby waive the redo given the circumstances described above. Honestly, I thought I signed where it said there could be a redo, because the only circumstances described was regarding the pet stain, which I agreed did not have to be redone. My copy didn't show the handwritten line which was where the signature is supposed to go. He had told me to sign here, as I recall and I assumed it was for completion of the job and I skimmed the paragraph incorrectly.They may be covered legally, I'm not a lawyer, but it is not professional to not guarantee the rest of the job because one area is not guaranteed. What carpet company does not offer a redo if the customer is not satisfied after it dries. I had paid $34.95 extra for a small pet area and accepted it was not guaranteed. Also the manager said she was sending him back because they wanted me to be satisfied with the work. I had to change my schedule to be there, to meet with the tech which was for what I thought was a redo. I explained , I was not referring to the pet stain, but I was talking about the rest of the job where there were no pet stains. I was so frustrated, I asked him to leave saying I would put a review on Angie?s list and have to hire another company to clean my carpet. He said he would have the manager call me, which was at noon on Feb 6. I also left a phone message on Feb 6 asking for a call back before leaving a review, after his second visit. It is now Feb 9, Monday mid-afternoon, and I have yet to get the call back after the second visit. I would like my money back or have another tech sent to do a redo if possible, or I may have to see if another company can remove what looks like chemical marks, ((except for the cost of the pet stain which I was told was not guaranteed) I may have to try to have the floor and pad treated plus the small pet stain on the carpet if I can find a company that does that. I paid a lot of money to end up with a spotty carpet. I asked another Chem Dry company to look at it , and they want $50 just for an estimate. I didn?t notice until after the job there is only one review on Angie?s list for this company in Jan 2015, and it says 0 reviews although there is one. It doesn't make sense because the company has been on Angie's list since 2006.

They are very professional. The workers were great. They were very prompt, right on time. They left the area clean and spotless.

WE HAVE KIDS AND PETS AND A LOT OF STAINS ON THE FURNITURE. THEY WERE ABLE TO GET OUT ALL OF THE STAINS WITHOUT A BIG SLOPPY MESS. THE COUCH WAS DRY WITHIN A DAY. THE FURNITURE LOOKS NEW. HE WAS DONE IN LESS THAN AN HOUR. IT WAS GREAT.

SOMETIMES WHEN PEOPLE COME IN YOUR HOME THEY MIGHT SEEM LIKE FREAKS, HOWEVER I WAS REALLY COMFORTABLE AROUND THESE GUYS. THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND NICE TO ME. THEY ALSO DID A GREAT JOB!
