I had a drunk driver come through my back yard. I wasn’t home at the time. The cement wall was knocked down, broken windows, broken pieces everywhere. My first thought was to call my insurance company because I wasn’t here. I got in touch with them, and this individual from Disaster specialist drove by and stopped and said he could fix it, and that he’s dealt with my insurance company before. My insurance company couldn’t have anybody out here to advise me what direction to go. The individual from Disaster Specialists got in touch with my insurance company because he said he worked with them before. Right away this individual starting writing up estimates to send to my insurance company. I explained I didn’t want to send anything to my insurance, that I was going to go through the person’s insurance company that went through my yard. So then he started sending estimates to their insurance company. I kept telling him I wanted estimates first. He wouldn’t give me estimates until after he had sent the estimates to the insurance company. He was under the impression that the check would be sent directly to him. Well it wasn’t. He kept not showing up for service. I finally called and stated he needs to show up on time or I’m not using him. He finally showed up, and I sated I didn’t want to use him anymore. He said he wanted paid. I said absolutely not. He gave me a statement and he had inflated the bill tremendously. I stated he couldn’t do that, he said he could do what he wanted because he has the insurance software, and he knows what they’ll pay. He then put a lean on my house for payment. This has gone on for over a year. I’ve got in touch with BBB, and the Attorney General and he would returned any of their calls. I was told to go to smalls claim court, which I did. He has also counter sued me. I wanted the lean taken off my house. When I called to take him to small claims court, he had 23 day s to respond, which he did not. He finally responded 2-3 days after the cut off to counter sue. He wanted me to pay his attorney fees and any fees for the counter sue. When we appeared before the judge, the judge stated he needed time to go through the info. The judge requested that we try to get this resolved before it had to go to court. We came to an agreement that the lean would be taken off the house. Two weeks went by, and the lean had still not been taken off. The individual from Disaster Specialist had not wanted to take the lean off , to assure I wouldn’t stop payment. The lean has just now been taken off the 30th of March. I just wanted the lean taken off my house. I wanted him to give the money and for him to go away and be done with this.
Description of Work: The individual originally came out to estimate damage costs to my house from an accident.
