They were initially very friendly and talked a good talk, but after they signed me up for an initial visit with a contract (non-negotiable but cancelable) it turned out to be smoke and mirrors. They were contracted to kill an infestation of prairie dogs on my property, by gassing the colony with carbon monoxide and filling the holes behind the gas. They charged me eleven hundred bucks for the first service and another one hundred fifty for the next (in three months) and had me sign the contract. Less than a week after the first service the prairie dogs had re-opened all of their holes and were running all over the property. I called the local office, the sales tech, and the field tech each on their office/cell phones but got no return calls. I called the main office (out of state) and they said they would make sure the local office would call me back, but they didn't. three days before the next service was due I got a call from a now local tech (not the same guy who came before) and he cheerfully told me not to worry and that he would take care of the problem. Three days later, prairie dogs everywhere. The original sales guy I spoke with had said they would be using poison bait for the second service to finish off the colony, but the tech who got here used carbon monoxide again, saying bait was illegal here. My advice is to run from these folks. They are sweet talkers but they lie and their treatment is no good. No no no no no to Critter Control.

The tech was good, he set the traps, covered the holes. Never found the raccoon. The inspector on the other hand lied to me. He said the insulation would be changed out as well as someone going into the attic in white protective overalls and really sanitizing the area for parasites. That did not happen. The tech went up there and cleaned the feces and sprayed but not in detail the way the inspector explained to me. I believe because I am a widow and a senior I was taken advantage of. I did call the inspector and explained my concerns but he just blow me off. I paid $2500.00 for this service.

They caught three of them, so it worked okay. In the middle of the job they had to let go one of their technicians so it came off as disorganized.

This company is the BIGGEST THIEF. Over charge for services with no results, Yet they are quick to charge. I called because of squirrels eating my garden and some flowers, digging throughout my yard plus getting into my attic. I am tired of this annoying critters, so I thought I'd give Critter Control a try. What a mistake, they are EXTREMELY expensive with no results. There has to be some control of pricing for this type company, In addition they will not give me a receipt for services charged to my credit card. I have requested a receipt multiple times and they claim to have emailed it who knows where, and they refuse to mail it. I have not received any type of work performed confirmation. I still owe them 1/2 the charges and have emailed to to say I will pay when I receive a receipt of services rendered, but they just keep calling requesting payment. This company has no credibility what so ever!

Set traps and advised on how i could "encourage" the raccoons to move. No raccoons caught, but they did move on. Would have given a higher rating, but they left my gate opened (I have a dog). And, they didn't do any follow-up.

IF this company had honored the discount offer and coupon offered on THIS SITE, I would have given them a very high rating. The first time I asked about the $15 off coupon (see photos) and senior discount--I was told that the coupon expired. The second time I asked about the coupon/posted discount--I was told that they did not expire BUT they were not good for live trapping...see photo....THE COUPON SAYS $15 for wildlife or pest services! This company owes me $15 for the posted coupon & $34 for the 10% (posted) senior citizen discount!

Fighting ants is a losing battle, because they've got 92 million years more survival experience than we do. But Critter Control (our man: Daniel) has been helpful over the years in the continuing effort. The company is reliable, courteous, and professional.

Critter control responded immediately to our message. They called back that day within an hour or less and sent out the technician the next days. The technician sprayed and dodged angry wasps but he said to watch the areas of entrance and they would come out two weeks later if there was still a problem. In two weeks Critter Control called and there were still some wasps entering the blocks so they returned with no charge to us and resprayed the areas of concern. We do have two Huskies in the yard so my concern was one of the dogs getting stung by wasp since she like to snap at the wasp when within her reach.

Fine. Daniel throughly inspected the perimeter of the house, basement and attic looking for possible entry points. I've been working on this myself, so the verdict was pretty positive. Just a couple of low probability spots which he caulked with silicone

I called the Santa Fe Office and they sent out Dominic, one of their techs, in about a week. He was very informative and checked all the access points for mice. I showed him the droppings in the registers, so we knew they are strictly mice. The news was not good for total elimination but with a few adjustments he suggested and the explanation of using specialized poison baits. we could keep the population down to a fraction without harming any other animals. This would be maintained on a bimonthly basis. I have not started the poison routine yet but I am working on the adjustments he suggested. Thank god, he told me how to catch the mice in the vents and to clean out the ventilation system before I turned on the heat. Just as he said, they might be building nests and sure enough, off of one register I blew out a basket-full of insulation. That alone was worth the cost of the visit.

When I called, I got a quote of $139 to have both the inside & outside of the house sprayed. I also got a very thorough explanation of how the visit would go. The tech arrived on time and did an inspection of the inside & outside of the house & explained to me that he couldn't find any obvious entry points, but explained that scorpions can get in through places not even visible to us. He explained the options for spraying. He felt spraying outside only would likely solve the problem, which was ok with me since I have a dog. I did ask him to spray a very small area just inside my back door. He explained that it might take 4-5 days before I stopped seeing any bugs. I paid, and he asked if I wanted a paper receipt or email. I chose email. About 5 days later I had 2 more scorpions in the house, but haven't seen anything since. I never received a receipt. I messaged the company through Angie's List, but got no response or no receipt. I was quoted a price of $139 for spraying the inside and the outside of the house. I ended up having only the outside sprayed (with maybe a 4-5 foot area of the inside), but was charged the full $139 anyway.

They were fine, and I had been using them for quite some time. The work is fine, but last year they start increasing their prices. The number of visits went down, but the price was increased.

I had some critter in my wall. They were unable to find anything but they looked very hard to try and find it. I also had them do critter preventative to help keep them out of my house. Both of the servicemen were on time and through. Despite the fact that they couldn't find anything but sense they have been here I have no heard the notice at all.

Daniel is very knowledgeable. He performed a thorough inspection of the home to locate possible breeding/hiding areas for gnats. Treated the window sills; gave suggestions on how to prevent gnat problem. Demonstrated how to set standard mouse traps without getting my fingers snapped in the process. Daniel is personable and professional and we will hire Critter Control again for any pest problems in the future.

The price didn't bother me. I called in Tuesday and they're coming on Thursday so I think that's pretty responsive. They feel the house is pretty effective. We live in a a tree eco lot so its probably trees and grass so the fact that we have ice around is a given, its just keeping them out of the house. I don't consider the fact that the mice would get in is not a hit against them. I had no problem at all.

Set the traps each day, came and checked early each morning and removed the skunks to their truck to take to another location to release them. It all worked well, just was expensive. Each skunk that was caught and removed cost $75- and after they caught three (!) I had to rethink my plan and get my own trap. Employee was friendly, punctual and did what I needed done.

The technician was very polite and knowledgeable. He explained the options and then allowed me to decide what I wanted him to do. The results were very good, but due to a long period of not addressing the issue, I requested a return visit. They were extremely prompt and I am very satisfied with their service.

I have a flat roof and we have pigeons in our area. He didn't find anything so we did not have to hire him.

They are pretty good. They always respond and come back for more treatments within a few days if needed.
