Quite well and as expected.

Chad did a good job. He even went the extra mile to even out the additional height of the new floor into the stairs (not originally in the estimate). He had to figure out a way to install the stairs given they are open on one side (a problem confounding all the contracts we had come to give an estimate). He started when promised and the job only went a few days past when we expected (normal for a job this large). Everything looks very professional and the only issue we have is that the finish of the new floor doesn't exactly match the old floor, something Chad suggested he would be able to do. We have received lots of compliments on the new floors already.

Chad implemented a procedure for refinishing the floor that resulted in beautiful finish with all the spaces between the parquet filled in.

Everything went exceptionally well. Chad came over and gave us an initial estimate and we scheduled a date to start the job. He was flexible and worked around another crew that was painting the house. He arrived when he said he would, kept an immaculate job site, and did the job precisely as he said he would. The job took exactly as long as he had predicted it would take.

If you have floors you MUST use Classic Wood Floor Designs! If you want to change out your ugly laminate or tile or linoleum or old wood floors, call Chad. I have been using Classic Wood Floor Designs for four, yes four years. I started with the living room and hallway in 2008, then did one bedroom in 2010 and finally finished the last two bedrooms this month. It was done in pieces due to my budget. Four years later and it looks as if the floors were done all at one time. Seamless. Since 2008 my floors were never just "my hardwood floors" but always "my BEAUTIFUL hardwood floors." Evidently other people felt the same way. My heating guy had to come out - first time in four years - and when I was trying to jog his memory about who I was, he eventually said, "Oh you're the one with the great floors." !!!! I am happy to be a reference and to give a reference to anyone who wants one. I totally appreciate Chad's willingness to work with my schedule (I have guests arriving) and he was done two days early (it took a total of six days!). He was also willing to work with my budget (the price of wood has gone up). His professionalism and knowledge are awesome. I don't have any more floors left for Chad to make beautiful but if I did, I would call him in a second. THANKS SO MUCH!

He came in, we talked about what I wanted. He told me how much to order. I ordered, he came, he saw, he performed!!! To perfection. One thing that really impressed me about Chad's work is that he worked around my schedule, went home and did research on the project and it came out AMAZING! We chose Classic Wood Designs after seeing the wood floors our neighbors had put in their home. The work was remarkable! We chose a hickory hardwood that Chad was able to find for us. From the beginning of the work until the last peice of furniture was back in place we had an absolutely wonderful experience. Chad Delong (owner of Classic Wood Designs) is truely a craftsman. Along with his skill he is a professional in every sense of the word. He is honest (we gave him a key to our house), respectrful of our belongsing and every evening his workspace was cleaned up. Chad also handmakes the reducers that transition the hardwood to the tile giving the room such a professional finished look. We highly recommend Classic Wood Design. This is truely a case of you get what you pay for! We are thrilled!

Chad did a beautiful job!! I am very pleased with the results. This was an extremely challenging job to remove a lengthy section of glued edge wood flooring, level the floor, and replace with the same section. I wasn't sure anyone was going to be able to do what needed to be done. The job took 2. 5 days to complete. Chad showed up when he said he would. He and crew really made an effort to seal the room to prevent concrete dust from migrating to other rooms of the house. They were very good at trying to keep area clean as they worked and cleaning up when they finished at the end of the day. Chad and crew were professional, great to work with, and did a great job! The guy that came in to do the estimate was very courteous and good to work with. I am going to have them do the floor next year.

Chad was wonderful. He spent a great deal of time in the begining answering all of our questions and giving us different estimates for different possibilities. He had great resouces for us to use to get quality wood and gave great advise on was worth the extra money and what was not. Once we booked the job Chad started the day we agreed. Chad worked every weekday without fail. He always cleaned up at the end of the day and tried to make the least possible impact on our lives (not easy given the large amount of the house we had to tear out). The job was finished on time and the the final floor looks GREAT. We could not be happier. There was one problem that was created by the the new dishwasher not fitting in the existing hole. Chad stepped up, cut a hole in out countertop and created a BEAUTIFUL butcher block to go over the dishwasher. We could not believe how willing Chad was to do extra work to get the job done. I would recommend Chad to anyone that wants a new hardwood floor - he is a true craftsman, not something you see very often these days.

The work involved removal of the existing carpet, preparation of the under-lying surface involving removal of an inordinate number of staples used in anchoring the carpets , tailoring of the individual risers and steps to the existing surfaces, shaping each step with a bullnose shape to provide easy stepping, coating the steps first with a solvent solution to bring out the beautiful grain of the wood he had selected and applying the fdinal coat to bring threful lbeauty and sheen of the wood, this included application of an anti-slip compound, base coating of associated baseboards and final installation of same.. All of this work was completed using a full range of professional equipment,..with a continual attention to daily work area clean-up and debris disposal. The whole experience for me as a home owner was outstanding because of this company's professionalism, construction ethics , and attention to schedule, performance, and cost. This is my third contract with this company and will certainly select it again when we continue the wood flooring of another part of our house.

My experience with Classic Wood Flooring was nothing but positive. Chad is a professional businessperson and craftsman, and I will definitely be using his company for any flooring needs in the future. His prices are reasonable and the quality of the work is great. I was pleasantly surprised that I could get this repair done for under $300, as I thought I would be paying much more. Plus, my dogs liked him and that to me is always a test of someone's true character!

We spent about $4,000 on that work. They came when they said they would, did the job they said they were going to do, which was above and beyond what they said they were going to do. They are artists and are professional and just nice guys. They were neat and we had them do the rest of the house and that was just the last patch and they are wonderful. They are good, they are excellent.

The whole experience was excellent. They were ahead of schedule and always very tidy. Our floors looks great.

They were phenomenal. We had only one room resurfaced as we had already completed the work in other rooms with the help of another company. This gave us the opportunity to compare the quality of work done by them with that of the other company. Their quality was far superior to the quality of work done by the other company. They were very professional and they did an outstanding job. We were extremely pleased with them. They are in the same neighborhood, so we ended up using them. We believe in using local and small businesses. So, we decided to use them for this project. They really do a good job. They charged us $339 for the materials, labor and tax. They did rough sand fill and final sand. They also scrapped threshold under closet doors and totally did three layers of satin emulsion water based finish. We were very pleased with their response and their work. Their prices were right in line. We will definitely call them for the flooring work for our two bedrooms.

We are very happy with the floors and the work that they did. Chad and Mark are great guys and a lot of fun to have around. We looked forward to seeing them everyday and watch the amazing work that they do. They are artists and take great pride in their work. They worked quickly which I appreciated since I was 7 months pregnant at the time. They installed the dance floor first. After the great experience with them we had them back to install the floors upstairs and downstairs. My only concern was the sanding and finish. This was done by someone contracted by Chad. It seemed that the job was rushed. Also, care was not taken by the sander/finisher to prevent and/or clean up splatters that got on the walls that had just been freshly painted. The finish does not wipe off after it is dry.

The finished product is beautiful!!! It's a very, very good match with the flooring in the rest of my house (I think CWFD is more attractive). The work was done in a timely manner by talented professionals. I was given detailed instructions on how to care for my new floor. I would use this company again. I would recommend this company to my friends looking to have floors refinished or new flooring put into their homes.

They were easy to work with. I was amazed on how inexpensive the labor was. They also picked up the wood for me.

AWESOME! Needed to move in so they did all the work in 10 days. 10 days! Great job! Floor looks fabulous. Wish I had enough money to do the bedrooms since they are all covered in that atrocious laminate too. Was told I could have one room at a time done in the future. Chad and crew were total professionals, friendly, careful, detail-oriented, trustworthy (I work, gave them the key to the house, they were protecting their equipment too), obviously took great care and pride in their work, and above all were THOROUGH AND FAST. Will use them again.

I had them come to give me an estimate and when here they explained how everything would be done. We discussed the different kinds of wood and they told me the different places I could get my wood. I had the wood ordered and contacted them to get on their schedule. It only took 3 weeks to complete all the work, even with the custom work.

It was fabulous and looks wonderful! They worked very closely with me throughout the whole process. They installed a subfloor for me that turned out very nice. They bring their own shop tools to get the job done. They custom fit the wood to your home. I had tile that was meeting the wood and I did not want tee moldings. They custom make the edges out of the wood that I was using.
