We phoned Christine and made an appointment to meet with her at her house where we looked at books of fabric. She has books and books of fabric to look at so there was no shortage of choice, just a shortage of patience on our part because we didn't want to look at fabric all day. (If we had wanted to do that, Christine would have been happy to accommodate us.) We decided on two different fabrics (one for each chair) and then made arrangements for her to come to our house and pick up the chairs. Christine kept in contact with us during the entire time she was working on the chairs. When the work was finished she made arrangements to deliver the chairs. She did an exceptional job on our chairs. We are very happy with her work. One of the chairs had been previously reupholstered when we lived in Los Angeles. At the time, we were happy with the way the chair was reupholstered then, but when Christine delivered the chair after she had worked on it, it was so much better. My wife and I cannot recommend her highly enough. It was a great experience.

Her work was outstanding. I like her ideas for decorating and will be doing more work with her in the future.

Christine Reich was wonderful to work with. She is detail oriented, communicating with me every step of the way. Her goal was to make sure that I received the finished product that I would be very happy with and it has surpassed my expectations. We worked over the phone, email and postal service. I was away for three months but I was confident once having met her, her portfolio and high marks on Angiels List that I was in good hands. She requested a wide variety of fabric samples in linen and linen blends from well known established fabric manufacturers. They arrived promptly and with her help we narrowed it down to a few. She explained the pros and cons which helped my selection. The sofa & chair were in good condition but once she had stripped the top fabric she saw that the sofa's back needed additional bracing and she provided that. She added additional padding on the sofa cushions and replaced the entire cushion padding on the chair. They are very comfortable now. We are now enjoying our sofa and chair and are so confident in her workmanship and choice of durable linen that we will continue to enjoy them for many, many years to come!

Met with Christine, choose fabric, she looked at my chair, gave me options and agreed on approximate price. Stayed in touched while doing the chair. Perfect-Lovely!

Christine was extremely helpful in the selection of the fabric for the chair. Her sense of color coordination and how fabric would look on the chair when completed was excellent. She also suggested specific "finishing touches" which made such a difference in the completion. She called several times with updates on the progress. Pror to picking up the chair she suggested adding a back pillow which really added a special look to the chair. I was more than pleased and will be using Christine again on several other pieces of furniture. Highly recommend her work.

Christine works out of her home. It began by myself going over to her home, showing her a dining chair, picking out a material and settling on a price for all 6 chairs to be redone. She was not able to give me an exact quote as she was not sure what the cost of the foam or extra materials would be. She said she would contact the suppliers and get back to me. We settled on a rough estimate but I was never given a quote sheet. Her estimate sounded reasonable and she asked for $200 up front to cover the cost of the materials, so I wrote a check. She said she would order the material and so I brought her the rest of the chairs. She said she had a fast turn around time and would have them back to me very soon. I was delighted with that news. She said she has been doing this for 30 years and had lots of experience. Two weeks passed and I had not heard anything so I decided to give her a call. I left her a message inquiring about the status of the chairs. She called me back to say that she did not have any of my contact information because her work book was stolen out of her car. The chairs were ready, they looked fabulous and oh, by the way did I have my notes from our conversation on price because she no longer had any of that information either. (No backup?) I did not have any notes from the earlier conversations. I went over to pick up the chairs and was surprised to find that she had done more to my chairs than I had asked. I did not request extra cording or batting over the foam and we discussed that up front. Additionally, my fiance and I had just waxed these chairs and buffed them and I told her that when we dropped them off. She thought they needed further polishing so she put furniture polish on top of the wax which completely dulled and ruined the finish and we are having to redo them. The chairs were stored in her garage and had dog hairs, extra strings hanging down and glue on them when I picked them up. Sensing that I was a bit annoyed with the finished product, she said she was rushed and should have "finished" them before I picked them up. Yet, she stated that she had finished them many days earlier and they were ready. When it came time to pay, I asked her how much I owed her and she was unable to tell me. So I asked her to write down the price of the materials and she said the fabric was more than she quoted me. I told her that we agreed to a rough estimate of $475ish so she added up her costs and labor and it came out to $520. I paid her that amount and left. I read her high marks on Angie's list and I am disappointed. Granted many things could have been discussed/changed if she had made a copy of my number and quote, but I wish she would have stopped working until she could have spoken to me before proceeding with the work. I am now spending extra time to clean up and finish the chairs. The chairs will look nice when finished but I wish vendors would listen when a customer tells them what they want and not try to do anything more no matter how "helpful" they think they are being. :-(

We contacted Christine after being referred from Pottery Barn. She accepted our job and was able to take-in our curtains within a few days of being contacted. She hemmed the curtains beautifully and really quickly, having them back to us in just a few days. She even made suggestions and performed actions to enhance the curtain panels. Christine was very friendly and professional. We definitely recommend her.

We found Christine on Angie's List and called her around 10:15 on a Sunday morning. We were pleased that she was available to see us that day. We arranged to bring the glider to her at noon. She was not sure how long it would take her to repair it, but she said she would have it for us by our deadline of a month later, when we were planning a party. In fact, she called us around 5:00 p.m. the same day and said it was ready. We picked it up right away. We are very pleased with the quality of her work. Christine was also very professional and pleasant to deal with. A few days later I called her about repairing a small cut in a leather seat. She said she did not do that but took some time to find a referral. I mention this because it is good to know that a craftsperson knows what she can do and what she can't and is willing to make a referral rather than take on a job outside her area of expertise.

Service was prompt, efficient, and at a very good price.

Christine does exquisite work. I would never employ anyone else to reupholster furniture or make window treatments for my house. Her knowledge of fabrics and her talent in interior design are unequaled in my experience. Her work is first rate, her prices are reasonable for the quality of her work, and her time estimates are accurate. She spends as much time as necessary to compare/select fabrics, discuss design options, and to offer design consultation to make her customers happy.

Christine is always on time for appointments and in meeting deadlines. She is meticulous about details and is never satisfied until the job has been completed to her client's satisfaction. She is pleasant to work with and full of great ideas, and her fees are very reasonable.

She brought many books of sample materials. She allowed us to go through the books and pick various samples we liked. Then she gave us her design opinion as to which would look best in our home. She is understated and not pushy but she does give opinions. When we picked a fabric, she took the chair that day. We paid a deposit of $300 with the balance due on completion. The job took approximately six weeks to complete. The result is beautiful. She did a superb job of upholstery. All the seams match and the workmanship is gorgeous. We are very pleased with the result. She gave us the extra material. The whole experience was pleasant and we got everything we'd hoped for in the chair.

The upholstery of the chair was not a quality job for several reasons including the following: 1. I requested the back of the chair and arms be enhanced with foam and also requested that the cushion be enhanced. The end result for the seat cushion was not a good one. The seat cushion is not proportional to the rest of the chair, as it is very thin. The seat cushion, aside from being too thin, is also uneven in height. For example, at one point the cushion is a little over 3 inches in height, at another 2.5 inches, and another 2.75 inches. 2. The seat cushion is not flush with the edge of the front of the chair and overlaps by nearly 2 inches or so. 3. It seemed that the foam for the seat cushion was stuffed into the seat cushion covering and the fabric was ripped in the corner. 4. The skirt does not meet properly in the corners and it seems that more fabric was needed to do the skirt correctly. The front panel of the skirt measures 24 ? inches and the back is 23 ? inches. The right panel is 24 ? inches and the left panel is 24 ? inches. 5. No dust cover was included on the bottom of the chair. 6. The edges of the skirt were raw and poorly finished. When the contractor, Christine Reisch, was contacted about these problems, she was very argumentative. The contractor begrudgingly agreed to repair the cushion and the skirt if I paid for new foam for the seat cushion and another yard of fabric. After the conversation, I decided further business with the contractor was not amenable. Given the overall quality of the job, I doubted whether the cushion and the skirt would be redone in a satisfactory manner. Instead, I requested a $200 refund and the contractor did not respond or send a refund.

Christine was very professional--she arrived on time. She was prepared and enthusiastic. Her work is exceptional and very reasonable. I would use her again and again.

She really helped me to create a great living space; she was a good listener. She is a very positive, upbeat person, and is very easy to work with. She helped to blend the traditional New Mexican theme with a more modern theme and pulled it all together nicely.

She was very prompt and was willing to travel with me to look at different floorings at different locations to help me with my choose.

She has incredible eyes, particularly in colors. She helped me pick out some granite countertops and the appliances. She knows design! She is extremely bright and very articulate. She could explain to me what I wasn't seeing in color. She charged $45/hour. She made all the difference in everything.

She fabricated padding in the cornice boards and for the silk drapes. She offered a variety of options.

She has her fabrics, and does great work! She was very friendly and flexible with my ideas, everything was perfect. She also added structure to my sofa and love seat, and stripped my chairs before re-finishing them.

Everything went very well. Christine was very concerned that I would be happy with her work. I was.

She is really exceptional. She does quality work at a reasonable price. She is great.

Christine does beautiful, detailed, and lovely work. Good upholsterers are hard to come by, and Christine is great! She picked up the merchandise for me, and delivered it when it was done.
