The work installed is very neat and professional everything checked out before he left our house. Comments from neighbors and other contractyors is very favorable. We would use Carasco Electric again.

The job required a great deal of coordination with me and PNM since various inspections were needed to finalize the job. Mr. Carrasco handled all the details for me, coordinated with PNM, and completed the job. He was extraordinarily responsive when I had questions. He would call on his own to update me on the status of the job or when PNM had to reschedule inspections. The job could not have been completed without the efficiency and responsiveness of Mr. Carrasco. He is always friendly and professional in his communications. I have already asked him to do additional work for me and will always give him my highest recommendation.

Ramon Carasco first vist to our home was right on schedule. He is outgoing, friendly and very professional. A model professional, Ramon went right to work, taking the time to explain what has happened and what he felt was the correct procedure to take care of the electrical problem. For me, this builds on the customers confidence that the service will be professionally done and in a timely manner. For the second visit, to replace outdoor security lights, Ramon read his schedule wrong and consequently was several hours late from the originally appointed time. Ramon, however, more than made up for the error by rescheduling for the same afternoon. He achnowledge his schedule misread and made up for lost time. I would have no reservations in recommending Carasco Electrical Company to friends and family. We have several other prospectve electrical projects to take care of in our home and Ramon's firm will be our choice to do the work.

After calling several electrician with no luck I decided to try Angie's List. My husband explained the problem which truly had us worried. The owner, Mr Carrasco came out a short time later. He understood our concern and changed his schedule to help us out. There was a serious wiring problem, and he took his time looking for the problem and then repairing.. He was prompt, courteous and took his time explaining what was wrong.. All in all it was a great expirience and we are hiring him to do more electrical work for us.

Around 8 pm on a Sunday evening, the CO monitor started beeping. (This had happened a few weeks earlier; the Fire Department had responded and determined the problem was the alarm itself. We thought new batteries would solve the problem; we were wrong.) There were two interconnected monitors, one of which was at the top of a cathedral ceiling, so I could not reach it. Mr. Carrasco, who was at home when I called, arrived in less than a half hour. He disconnected the faulty alarms so we could get relief from the shrieking, and was back first thing the next morning to install new monitors. He was totally professional, understanding and efficient. First class company!

It went very well and efficiently. I had sconces that were previously ordered and shipped, these guys came out & installed one, and then came back and installed the other one after I determined where I wanted it placed. They are professional and trustworthy, and quite reasonable.

After working with Ramon not he first job, I quickly decided I would go back to him with any electrical work. He is always quick to come in and provide a fair estimate of the work, and then performs the work quickly and professionally once requested. I have been completely satisfied with all work done, and feel that I have received the best price around town.

Alfredo came instead of the owner, Ramon Carrasco. The employee was as thorough and professional as his mentor. He spent about 5 hours at the house, taking each of the portions of the service call in order and completing it neatly and thoroughly. He discovered that venting for the bathroom simply went into the attic rather than to the outdoors, which appalled him, so I took his advice to let him install a vent kit through the roof. He also found inferior wiring work when he went into the attic, and I will get that fixed sometime in the future. I didn't like paying so much for those various replacements, but I do believe that I got my money's worth and that Carrasco Electric believes in giving the customer perfect service for the price.

Ramon was fantastic. Courteous, professional, quick and thorough. He completed all the electrical work in about 2 1/2 hours, on budget, and didn't mind being "supervised" by my 5 month old kitten throughout the job. I would recommend him and use him again.

I've found my electrician!

I have called on Carrasco Electric for more than 10 years. The owner, Ramon Carrasco, is man with clear values and ethics that inspire my trust. Once I hired him to replace the outlets in the house from two-prong to 3-prong. After he arrived I went on to work and he locked up the house when he was finished. On August 18th this year my swamp cooler motor suddenly would not turn the squirrel cage, and I took Ramon's card off the refrigerator and called him. He called me when he was 15 minutes away so that I would be awake and ready for him to arrive. When he got to my house I asked if he wanted me to turn on the swamp cooler to show him the problem. He suggested he had better go on the roof and look at the cooler first because turning it on again could do more damage. What he discovered the minute he took off the sides was that the last contractor had not sufficiently oiled the bearings on the squirrel cage and the motor could not turn it. The V-belt also was about to break. He could have told me anything, but he told me I did not have an electrical problem. The motor could have burned out if it had continued to labor, trying to turn the squirrel cage, but it didn't. He oiled the bearings until the cage freed up again and then he went over to Samon's and got another belt. The swamp cooler was running better and more quietly after that and I was delighted because we're having a pretty hot summer and the house had become stuffy while it was off. Plus the motor was still fine. Incidentally, he put that motor in for me 11 years ago. Ramon is a good man, believes in doing a job right with no short cuts and cultivates long-term customer relations rather than one-job visits that may or may not work out well for the customer. He has employees so that he doesn't have to keep customers waiting if he can't make it to a job site himself. I live in a very old house, so he has had to deal with rotted wiring and electrical fixtures that are not up to code, and it is clear to me that he knows his field very well. I have a half dozen small electrical jobs that I have been too lazy to deal with, but in the near future Ramon Carrasco is the man I will call to do them. I also will ask him to do the start up work for my swamp cooler from now on. If I had to have a massive electrical rewiring of the house done, he would be my contractor.I have recommended him to friends and they all keep his business card handy after having been delighted by his fine work and soft-spoken and clear explanations of the work he had to do. He speaks of his father's values as a business man, and he talks with pride of the values of honest and perfect work that he has passed on to his own son. I don't know if he talks about his values to all his customers, but I am a chatty woman and I ask a lot of questions. I want to know the professional himself, not just the professional services. I recommend Carraso Electrical Services, not only for electrical work at a fair price but for a chance to be helped out by a trustworthy, nice, intelligent and genuinely good man.

Great job went above and beyond service asked for

Our thermostat for our electric baseboard heater stopped working. Samons recommended Carasco electric. However, they apparently sent over someone who really didn't know what he was doing. Although he was there a long time, I didn't have to pay too much because apparently he didn't cost the regular rate per hour. While I am not an expert, I saw a huge electrical flash and was concerned the poor guy was going to electrocute himself.

He showed up when he said he would. His crew was professional, worked hard, and the fees were acceptable.

Ramon Carrasco came to my house soon after I called and we agreed that the boxes/breakers should be replaced. Ramon seemed very professional. Soon after Ramon left, one of his employees came, and began work. He worked steadily for a day and a half (I was around the entire time). At the completion of the job, he cleaned up the work area. Before the employee left, I checked the operation of the circuits in the house. Everything worked. Ramon came by the next day to inspect the work. My overall impressions were very favorable and I would definitely use Carrasco Electric the next time I have a home electrical problem.

I was very impressed with the entire process. The service representative explained each part of the job before beginning and did not mind having me hang about to observe and ask questions. I was surprised by how "clean" the job went. It involved pushing an electrical line from inside to outside the house and running a conduit along an exterior wall then back into the house through the fireplace. The service representative was very careful to minimize damage to the exterior stucco and assure his work was not an eyesore for the property. He took care to make sure the interior workspace was protected and cleaned up afterwards. A very congenial serviceman. Very knowledgeable and professional in his approach.

The two electricians from Carrasco Electric came at the appointed time and assessed the situation. Previous stoves had been hardwired directly (no plug). One of the electricians went out to purchase the required range receptacle and quickly returned. The other electrician installed it. Several days later my new stove was delivered and it was easily plugged in.

I called Carrasco Electric, left a message and he returned the call within an hour. He was here another hour later and found the problem and fixed it in less than an hour. He also suggested preventative measures to help in the future. Wonderful service!
