Great experience. Good communication, the guy came when he said he would, fixed my swamp cooler, put in new pads and a new pump, works great!

No problems, the Angies coupon took care of the work, so that was easy.

The technician they sent was prompt and professional. He came and went right to work, got the work done in a timely manner. All for a reasonable price.

It was Angie's List special for furnace service with C and J Service. I called Angie's List, paid the agreed amount and scheduled an appointment. I made a telephone complaint to Angie's List when after making the appointment the person never turned up. The weird thing was someone from this company called us much much later to say when he could commence work when we had already got our refund from Angie's List. Anyway we had Cartright and Cartright in to check our furnace, and their personel recommended a USA made water heater to replace our old heater that would not work anywhere, We also had a USA made decalcifier installed on their advice because the high calcium content in my area was impeding the flow of water into our water system.. We are happy with the services provided. At least they are reliable. They also performed air-cond services services for the house. After this disappointment, we called a local contractor in Santa Fe to do our yard work and to instal a fawcett in our back yard. It was also done to our satisfaction. On the positive side, we had a wonderful experience with Rudy who was with Precision Overhead Garage with a special offer from Angie's List. He came on time, called us just before he came. He was very professional, well-mannered and pleasant. This was our first time experience with a service provider from Angie's List. Since this incident with C. and J happened quite sometime ago, the report I am filing is what I vaguely remembered. I cannot and don't want to remember unpleasant experiences.

Went fine from start to finish.

James came out the day I called. I was worried about the cost (I am on a very limited income), but the problerm was that the damper needed to be removed. Although he could have charged me $100, James did not charge me saying he used my ladder and did nothing but remove the damper. I highly recommend Cand J Heating and Cooling and will definitely use them if needed.

They were on time, friendly and did good work. I would use them again in the future.

Technician did little more than run the system. He did not check coolant level, nor did he use any measuring equipment or gauges to check operations - he did his check and quot;by earand quot;. He did seem experienced and I trusted his judgement - still, if I had paid full price (this was an Angies List Big Deal), I would have felt ripped off.

The owner was easy to get a hold of. I called him and left a message and he called back in less than 30 minutes. We scheduled the service the next day to fit my schedule. The technician showed up exactly on time and went to work. He was friendly, and willingly put up with all my questions. I'd use this company again.

I would call him and even though he is on the road, he would know what was going on. They were really good. I was really impressed with him.

It went well. On time and on budget.

They showed up on time for the appointment and provided good information on the type of equipment needed. However, I never received a quote from the company and they didn't returned my calls asking about the quote. Their company response is very incorrect. I have never seen an email from them or received a call back.

They are very good and are professional. I have never had any problems with their work and would highly recommend them.

The company rep was punctual and professional and had a helper with him. I was very pleased with the service and will use them in the future. I was told I would get a full report in several weeks, I havent gotten it yet but its only been a week.

They showed up a little late, but once they got here, they did an excellent job. The quality of the service was good.

The representative arrived on time and did an excellent job of inspecting the heating system. He could have recommended unnecessary work, but did not. He showed me what I hadn't known about cleaning the filter. I asked him to provide a quote for replacing the cooling system, and he did so. All of this work by the on-site representative was excellent. On follow-up, however, Cand J was terrible. I called to ask them to install the new cooling system. When I called, the person answering the phone was busy, so I suggested calling me back. Cand J did not call back in any timely way. Some time later, they called back when I was away, but did not leave a message. I called again, and could not get an answer. I left a message. There never was a call back. I ended up calling another company. The contrast in responsiveness was amazing. Within 24 hours of the site visit, I had an appointment for installation. The installation comes with a one year parts and labor warranty. Failure to follow up is a red flag when it comes to contractors. If something goes wrong after installation, will they answer the phone? I see from other comments that Cand J has many happy customers. I wish I could count myself among them.

The day after I bought C and J's inspection coupon, thinking to use it later, my furnace went out. Joe came and found that a new fan was needed. Installed it next day, but furnace went out again. He came back and finally found that giving the gas valve a good cleaning fixed the problem. The furnace has been working well up to now. Joe was very friendly and competent. I will call them again when I need an inspection or have a problem.

I called about 25 min. after the appointment time. He was picking up his truck at the mechanics: and had left his schedule book in the truck. When he got here, he apologized profusely. They did the heater and air conditioner. The owner lit and adjusted my gas heater. They promised to come back when it was warmer to finish the air conditioner. In my opinion, he more than made up for being late.

Overall the service/visit was excellent. James was prompt, courteous, knowledgable and professional.

So I had to call the company 2 times to schedule the appointment. The guy was suppose to call me by 10am on the day of the appointment and he didn't call till 12p. He and another person were here for about an hour. They did answer my questions but the report included they looked at my windows (which I have new windows), changed my filter (which was right beside the unit), and turned the unit off and on. Once they figured out I wasnt going to buy a new unit then they went to say that my intake was too small. I was suppose to get a quote on that correction. 2 weeks after the appointment I called and was told they had a problem with Angies List but had it fixed that day and he would send me a quote. Never got it. I would not use this company, Since they were totally unresponsive I had 2 other companies come out and both told me the exact opposite from this company. I did tell him that I was trying to figure out why my electric bill was so high and he did not have the expertise to help me. So that Angie's List deal was a total waste of time and money. I would not use this company again. Update: He did call me back. I didnt hang up. The phone cut off, However, I did not get a message offering any money back. I did not get the quote for the new vent that he promised me and when I scheduled the appointment he knew exactly what I was looking for. At that time, he could have stated that was not something that was included in the deal but he did not. Touting that a consumer and quot;didn't understandand quot; is no excuse for not a providing quotes as promised or a follow up call stating that he didnt want to do the work. Instead he said he was sending the quote the day I called him 2 weeks after the service call. My unit is 8 years old so I am not sure I would consider that new. If I had gotten the quote or something saying they didnt want to do the work then I probably would have given them a B but since this is a service industry I think follow up is important.

They were prompt, polite and seemed knowledgeable. I used the Angie's List Big Deal offer for the work. It was $50 each, and it was a really good deal. I was pretty impressed. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

I would recommend them highly. They were very courteous and prompt. My only reservation is that they seemed to be very busy. I have called them for another job here in my home, and they said they'd get back to me and it's been a couple of weeks. So one has to be aware that they're very busy.

The company took the time to perform the items on the check list. I loved the excellent service at a great price. I will use them again.

Another company had come out a day earlier and told me I needed to buy a whole new unit. C and J fixed the problem for $700. I definitely will use them again in the future.

Came on weekend to diagnose problem with system and determined the coils were in bad need of cleaning. Returned on the next work day to clean coils. When coils were cleaned, determined that the compressor was bad and needed to be replaced. When new compressor arrived it was installed and then discovered that the TSV valve needed to be replaced. A replacement was located locally and was replaced at no cost.
