They did a marvelous job. They were very knowledgeable and professional and took pride in their work. They were also very pleasant guests. When we had furniture delivered on the last day, one of the installers told the delivery men that they'd need to use felt foot pads to protect the floor. When he was ignored, he said he wouldn't have his new floor damaged and put the pads on himself.

Derek came out and gave us an estimate the day after we called. We had already received an estimate from an installer recommended by Lumber Liquidators. Derek's bid was a bit more than the other one but he did include grinding down the concrete and doing the closet which was not included in the other bid. We had planned to install the flooring ourselves but realized once we got all the flooring home that we were not up for the job. We did however remove the baseboards, carpet, pad, and tack strips in the room to cut down the cost. We decided to use Derek and his crew who came out 2 days after the bid. They arrived on time and set up all their equipment in our front courtyard. They did have to grind down some of the concrete and they did a great job of it. Made us really glad we had not tried to install ourselves. We didn't even think about grinding! We have an older home and the grinder tripped the circuit but they knew exactly where to look and what to do to fix it. They laid the flooring in the room and the closet and even put back all of our baseboards and caulked them. They even had to go and pick up quarter round to go around the shelving unit in the closet. The floor looks amazing and there are no issues whatsoever. They cleaned the floor when they were finished and the courtyard where they had cut the planks. The transition piece was on order and came in the next day and Derek came out and installed it himself. I fully recommend this company, they do quality work from the moment they arrive till they leave. They respect your home and your belongings.

Derek's crew was fantastic! So professional! They involved us every step of the way to make sure all of the project was to our liking. The wood floor looks wonderful and all who enter our house remark on how nice it looks. The crew cleaned up after themselves and even difficult areas to do (our plastered fireplace is not perfectly even) look polished and perfect. My husband also asked one of the members to cut some old baseboard to go up in our skylight, not an easy task. The crew member went up on the ladder and did some measuring, then cut the wood perfectly. A magician! We are 100% satisfied with Builders Unique and would recommend them to anyone!

We initially contacted Builders Unique a year before we actually got the work done. Very patient about working with us in the decision making of what wood to use and saving up the money. We had a challenging job picking the right engineered wood product to match existing wood and tile in our home. Finally we had the money saved. The owner actually jumped right in to help us find the right floors. Floors were ordered and shipped within 4 days. The work was completely finished in 2 weeks. The Crew that did the work was very efficient and professional. We had the wood floors scribed which is cut very precisely because we chose no base boards. It had to be cut perfectly. The owner checked in with the progress daily. Absolutely love our new floors that replaced 10 year old carpet. Beautiful work and no regrets. Thank you Builders Unique!

Derek and his crew are so professional. They totally exceeded my expectations and my job looks custom and perfectly installed. They showed up on time every day without fault. Derek's job forman, Effren was so polite and accommodating. Derek showed up twice a day, once to check on the job and the 2nd time to haul away any debris left over. Derek really cares about his clients and always made sure we were completely happy and patiently answered any questions we had. My flooring was installed with care and craftsmanship. Cost of labor and materials was very fair! He is a small company and treats each of his customers with courtesy and appreciates the business you give him.

Builders Unique did a fantastic job. We could not have been more pleased. They removed the carpet and installed the new flooring in 2 1/2 days. The two installers were very professional and pleasant. They were very careful when removing baseboards and did not damage the walls. They were extremely respectful, answered all our questions, and even provided us with advice on caring for our new floors. I would highly recommend Builders Unique for any service they are capable of providing.

Derek's quote was reasonable both in time and cost. We had purchased the materials separately. There was a mix-up between us and the flooring store - so when Derek's team started the work they found out we had purchased planks requiring adhesive instead of click-lock as we thought we were getting. They got the adhesive for us and there was only a minimal (reasonable) increase in cost. Derek's team was exceptionally efficient, knowledgeable and courteous, and great sense of humor. The job took approx 2 1/2 days - and they cleaned the area every day before they left. The wood has a variable grain, and they cared enough to balance the color scheme across the floor so it looks GREAT! The job went so well, and the final product is so amazing that when Derek asked if he could send a potential client who was considering the same floor product, we were happy to "show off" our new floor. The overall experience with Builders Unique was outstanding, I wish I could give them an A+ instead of just an A in every category. If you need flooring installed, this is the company that you want to do the job.

It is a flooring company. They installed laminate flooring throughout the entire house. It was about 2300 square feet, and they did it in two days and it looks gorgeous. They were ahead of schedule, and they worked really clean. Our boxes were in the back corridor and so we installed a closet. We didn’t have to wait until the new flooring came in and they are so good. And they really worked so hard to make it work. They were really fantastic. They were very knowledgeable about the product and really kind of schooled me and taught me, and it is best the way to take it. The floor has a real big shine on it and I wanted to know how to take care of it and they told me. It is 6 weeks and it looks like they installed it today. I had horrible contractors before.
