Description of Work: I brought in a large pleated window shade that needed repair. It is 16 years old. Blinds by Bud needed to restring it, which they did in just a couple of days. They were courteous and the window blind now works great. I am happy to know about this local repair source. Also, I will get an estimate from them on replacing our blinds gradually throughout the house, because they can offer a longer warranty than online providers, and they can do repairs here in town without me having to ship them.

+ -1 moreThe owners of this local business were very helpful in arranging for the windows to be measured and then when the blinds arrived for them to be installed. Both aspects were done by timely and competent people. Because these were replacements for damaged blinds, I knew exactly what I wanted. They were very helpful in getting the closest version of these blinds - the originals had been installed 8 years ago. I had no problem with the delay due to the factory's closing during the Holiday season. I would recommend this business over the Big Box stores for selection and personal attention.

+ -1 moreIt took several calls to find a place to do the repair because the original supplier claimed they no longer serviced this product and other contacts were reluctant to do the work on this product. These folks responded positively and did the job on time and within the estimated cost.

+ -1 moreWhen I called to schedule a blind repair, I made a point of asking if they were equipped with a ladder tall enough for our blind (the top of which is 15 feet off the floor). I was told that they were, yet when the repairman arrived he did not have a tall enough ladder. He said someone would call to reschedule, but they never did. I subsequently found another blind company to do the repair--and for half of the $100-plus estimate given by Blinds Direct.
Description of Work: Nothing was done.
