Horrible! They came highly recommended as a locksmith to cut my Ford key and program it. After 2 hours of not being able to program the key to recognize the vehicle, the technician Eric and Katrina said they were 100% sure it was a PCM (computer module) problem based on error codes and I need a mechanic to fix it to get key to work (PCM's are $800 + labor). So I took it to a mechanic, who after charging me to diagnose the issue, said it has nothing to do with a PCM, but might be a key problem, and recommended I take it directly to Ford. So I took it to Ford, who said Bill's didn't have the right software to program it. Works fine now because Ford had the right software to program it, but I'm out $300 because I trusted Bill's expertise. When I asked the manager to make it right, she just yelled louder and louder, asserting THEY HAVE! the current software, and then hung up on me. If they had the right software, why could they not get my key to recognize the vehicle? And why am I out $300 to get one FORD key cut and programmed at Bill's? DO NOT TRUST Bill's Key and Lock!

Lost a key and wanted an extra. about 1/3 the price at the Ford dealership, took less than an hour, pleasant employees, will give them my custom again and hey, look, even writing a review. I like this place and these people.

Excellent prompt service! Contacted Bill's early morning. They sent a technician that afternoon. Eric rekeyed the new lock to match our others, and he spent a great deal of time adjusting the new lock so the door closed perfectly. Price seemed quite reasonable for the amount of time he spent

Phil rekeyed my house and he was timely and professional. Very friendly and gave lots of good advice on locks and maintenance! They do take credit cards but no tip option so have cash handy for that. Thank you!

Great! I went into Bill’s Lock and Key yesterday to pickout a new front door handle and lock and set up a time to have it installed. An employee, Kris, asked me if he could help me. I told him my outdoor handle was sticking and the door lock was very rough to turn. Kris showed me some handle/lock sets they could install, but said the handle/lock set on my door may just need a new spring or need to be lubricated. He set up a convient time on Friday for an employee to come out and look at my front door to see if a new handle/lock was necessary (taking measurements if necessary) or if spring replacement and/or lubrication was only needed. The Bill’s Lock and Key, employee, Eric, showed up today at the agreed upon time and looked and the door. He was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He looked and my door, took apart the handle and checked the lock. He said the it just needed to be lubricated and that everything else was fine. The whole visit took about twenty minutes. The employee, Eric, gave me the invoice for a fair and reasonable amount, I paid and he left. I will use Bill’s Lock and Key again, and let others know about their service.

I was very satisfied with the service I received. I highly recommend Bill's Lock & Key. It's good to know there are still businesses around that go the extra mile.

Work went very well and quickly. The gates had just been repaired, they didn't close when I bought the house. One of them needed the opening on the equivalent of the strike plate slightly enlarged so the bolt would slide in. I expected to have to have the gate repair person back to do that but Bill's had the tool and did it there and then. Both locks were lubricated and are probably better than when new.

He did a good job. I've used him before. He was good. He was laid back and did the work. We did the paperwork and that was it.

They are very knowledgeable, quick, and we called them one day, they were out the next. They are very professional. They rekeyed everything, gave us new keys, and got us matching door nobs. We have an old house, so they had to look for matching nobs.

This was my second use of Bill's services in a couple of years. Same result...professional, cost effective services. Rolf called to ask if he could show up a little early for our appointment. We had just changed out one Kwikset for a Schlage and he pointed out that we could not have the same key for both manufacturers. He gave us great advice on re-keying the six Kwiksets and just keeping the new Schlage key for that entryway...we just installed it the day before. This is a great company with fast professional service and they are #1 on my locksmith list.

A couple of my keys required unusual keyblanks, but Bill's had them. Faster duplication than tracking down the one person in a chain hardware store who can do it! These people really know their business.

I approached the counter and asked to have my 1996 Volkswagen key blank cut. I was told by University VW that Bill's was the place to go to have car keys cut from a VW blank. The first thing the locksmith did was to place the VW blank to a magnet. "We don't cut steel keys" was his answer. It is a common car key, not even a "smart" key. Anyway, he offered me a flat brass key instead. I declined as I wanted the original, nice looking VW key that I special ordered from VW. The buy it or leave attitude was not appreciated. So, be aware, if you are looking to get a car key cut that has some ferrous metal in it, Bills will not cut it. I shall not use Bill's Lock & Key again.

Bill's responded quickly, the same day as I called. Rolf worked quickly, the only delay being a trip to Bill's for an older part which is less commonly used. He took time after the initial installation to adjust the strike plate for a smoother fit, which will help extend the life of the bolt. He was helpful in explaining what needed to be done and why and in providing tips for the maintenance of the locks. I have purchased lock parts previously at Bill's and have always found them to be helpful, courteous and professional.

I went to the company to have a duplicate key made. When I got home, the key did not work. I went back to the store to have another key made, and then that key still did not work. I went back a third time to have the key made, and still it did not work. At this point I went to Lowes, had a key made, and it worked just fine the first time.

I was called the day of my appointment to ask if they could reschedule it due to a job earlier that morning causing the whole service schedule to be thrown off for the rest of the day. Unfortunately, I was unable to schedule and needed to get the work done. The scheduling person called back, and was apparently able to schedule someone to come into work who wasn't scheduled for the day. While I was a little worried I might have a somewhat disgruntled service person show up -- that was not the case. I was very impressed with my service technician who the epitome of professional, courteous and prompt. Shortly after arriving and after assessing all the locks on the house, it became apparent that one of the locks would need to be replaced. After agreeing on what type of new lock I wanted, he drove back to his store to pick up the new lock set, then came back. And then just as he was getting started, I changed my mind and wanted a different lock -- "no problem at all", and he drove back to the store a second time to pick up the new lock. The work was done promptly, he cleaned up the wood shavings on the floor which resulted from the new lock installation. Extremely professional, courteous and timely. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone needing lock services.

The gentleman who helped me was professional, courteous and efficient. The price I paid was reasonable and I am satisfied with the results.

While the price was a bit steep for this retiree, the mission was accomplished!

Bill's guy was on time, professional, knowledgable, and very helpful. He rekeyed all our exterior doors and one interior door. It took less time than he quoted even though it was more work than both of us were anticipating. He was good-natured and easy to talk with. I would definitely recommend Bill's to anyone in need of a locksmith.
