I was NEVER able to reach him. Called him for a week and never heard back.

Both jobs completed in 4.5 hours, no mess, no left over wire ends. everything works perfectly.

It really pains me to write this. Steve installed some sconces and moved outlets for me last year and really did an outstanding job. Recently, I decided to install electricity in my barn and called Steve for an estimate. I was able to speak with Steve on the second attempt at reaching him and we arranged a date for him to come out and look at what I wanted. He made lots of notes, told my husband and I all that we'd have to do and said to give him a few days to make the drawings and email them to me. After a week passed without hearing from him, I left a phone message. After 2 weeks of not hearing from him, I sent an email. Now it's almost 3 weeks later and I still have not heard back. I would just have appreciated some level of communication. If he was not interested in working with me again or in doing the job, I wish he would have been up front about it. I had really hoped his estimate would be something we could work with and looked forward to working with him again.

New fan not included in cost. Steve Baum was prompt, efficient, and professional, as he was when he installed my new bathroom lights a couple of months back. Will certainly hire him again for electrical eork.

Steve provided a very thorough estimate with diagrams and itemized everything with options to consider for budgeting. He arrived on time for the day of work. He worked his tail off all day. He even changed out a motion flood light we asked about after he arrived. Steve finished 2 big projects and a few smaller ones and even though it was a long day, he cleaned up every scrap. I have young kids and there was no mess, not anything left behind I had to worry about. The riser and boxes look great, very well done. This is the thrid time we had Steve here to do projects. He is so attentive to the details I never feel like his work is questionable. The conduit is always very neat and everything very organized, nothing sloppy. He shows pride in his work.

Steve was someone my daughter knew. My older home did not have grounded outlets, and circuits often overloaded. He came the same day I called and gave me a three-part estimate, so I could choose which parts of the job to have done first and thoroughly explained what each would involve in terms of labor and cost and what each would accomplish for me. I chose at this stage just to have two outlets grounded. He came on time, calling when he was on his way and had the job done in a matter of hours. He cleaned up everything, inside and out. He was very pleasant and professional to work with. Very informative, which is important to me. The cost was slightly under estimate, as he finished in less time than anticipated.

In the past we have had him install and trouble shoot electrical service poorly done by another electrical contractor. He came as a fill-in when the other contractor had an out of town job and was a far better electrician. Does not leave wire clippings and insulation lying all over, on a rainy day took off shoes at the door and worked in socks.
