The crew were very friendly and they completed the work timely. However I have to state that when the city inspector came he found a loose gas compression fitting on one of the air conditioners/heater units.

We very, well. We had a configuration issue with the new thermostat and the after hours and next day response solved the issue with minimal interruption. Great follow up.

So far not well. One cooler vibrated so much it made the pictures on the wall chatter. This may or may not be corrected. The unit has not run this year because I have been waiting for them to raise the unit so that the solenoid valve can be properly installed. Both units were installed in a manner that makes removal and replacement of the solenoid valves difficult on one and impossible on the other. When looking at the photographs one should note that the solenoid in the black cover must be able to be unscrewed and move down by an inch minimum, preferably more, so that one does not cross thread the fittings. Anyone who is considering a Breezair unit should insist that six inches of vertical drop be provided at the exhaust before any bends so that access is convenient for maintenance. Another experience I had was when B. Carlson removed the old Master Cool units and put on the new Breezairs. They did not use a crane. The result was many broken tiles on my recently refurbished roof. I recommend that one insist that they, or any other contractor, use an overhead crane so that one's roof is not damaged. Another observation, admittedly only cosmetic: Why select a hose for the drain line that is fire engine red?! This is not a high pressure hose. Why not use white or black or gray, something less attention grabbing. *UPDATE- 8/21/17* After B Carlson saw my review, they contacted me to make it right. They got right on it and fixed it! Now everything is copacetic.

Service performed on the system. In addition we purchased the maintenance agreement, which saved money in the long run. Includes service twice a year and a pluming inspection as well. Very pleased, Sean was professional and informative.

Sean Montano showed up on time and gave thorough inspection and talked to me along the way. Told me what I should and shouldn't do. What to do during winter and summer months.

Went well. To start with I ended up having to call and reschedule the service twice because the temperature on the days that we had scheduled turned out to be too cool for a valid test of the AC cooling. The service dispatcher was very understanding and cooperative. On the third try, the outside temp. was sufficiently warm. Sean was the service tech. He was very polite, pleasant and efficient during the service. He seemed very thorough in his checks. As our HVAC unit is a fairly old unit, he pointed out what aspects of the unit is still working well as well as some areas were we can perhaps expect to have issues in the future, I had a number of questions about our unit and Sean was very open to discussing all the topics that I brought up. I ended up purchasing a package deal for both this AC service and an additional service in the fall for the furnace portion of the system. I am pleased with the service.

Mario did an excellent job of explaining the services. He was very thorough, detailed, and followed through after the job was completed. Carlson did a very good job. There were a few problems with their electrical sub contractor, but the problems were solved and the end result was great. I have not used the furnace much, but the central air is so quiet and efficient. I would use Carlson again.

From the request for quote to the finished installation to returning to tweak up for optimum performance, everyone was very helpful and professional. The job was done in a timely manor. Any all questions I had were welcomed and answered to my satisfaction. I will have no hesitation is giving them a positive recommendation.

I've had previous work done and it's always been good.

Runs better (i.e. quieter) than ever. Our single season swamper was poorly installed in 2016 by another provider. Usually we do the startup ourselves, but this time we picked B.Carlson from Angie's list to hopefully get it running right. Pete arrived just after the four hour time window, but we were called to let us know he was on his way. He fixed the gaps in the ductwork and mounting, and replaced the burst pipe (we had copper leftover) as part of the $149 startup. Since he had operated it only at high speed, before he left, we tried it on low. Unfortunately, the awful noise we had had from the get-go was still there. Pete diagnosed it was due to a faulty motor with a wobbling pulley. No time to investigate warranties, he was there, ready to repair, and we went for it. At 3 times the cost of a new motor and pulley, it took less than half an hour to replace, resulting in a smoother sounding operation. Next day, an annoying recurring tapping sound began on low speed. We called; Ben came by end of day, at no extra charge, and tighten a few things (the noise stopped just before he arrived). He said to call again during regular hours if it came back. So far so good. We haven't opted for the service agreement, and if we hire them again we'll be more on guard for our wallet. Did get a new motor on 1-year warranty from Samon's --- a spare. Hope to see an energy savings this year.

They're due to come out and clean my air conditioning and everything. That will be pretty soon. Upcoming, in April or May. They do a winter and a summer. I always give them four stars. They're excellent. I wasn't doing a very good job on my own on the heater so I decided that's a job for somebody else to do. They're very good. I contract out with them for $267 a year and that covers the cleaning in the winter and the summer. I think that's what my last contract was with them. I've had others come out who were cheaper, but then had to have Carlson's come out to clean up what they didn't do right. I have an automatic air cleaner and it had stopped working. I called out some another company and they just shrugged their shoulders, said, "I don't know, I guess it quit working." Then I called Carlson's. And this guy just sat there and read all of the instructions on this automatic air cleaner and he did it one by one by one and, lo and behold, it worked! So I figured, "Okay, I'll stick with these people." They do operate on a contract. I don't know how much they charge just for one time. They're very clean. They always put those shoe coverings on, and everything. They do pretty good. They'll be coming out soon to do the spring cleaning on my equipment. I think they do a great job. They're very professional. I have full faith in them.

New thermostat was installed. Furnace works fine.

I've used Carlson's for 15 years now. As it is with anything, guessing why the heater sometimes makes horrible noises and doesn't as soon as the repairman gets here is frustrating, but they have always provided me with excellent service.

I called 5 different companies. Carlson sent someone in a timely manner who was knowledgeable about the different brands of A/C available. He instilled confidence in his company and what they would do for me. The bid he gave me was the most reasonable. The crew they sent was efficient, considerate of my property and again gave me great confidence that this job was being done correctly. In my opinion this company (which is family owned) is the model for how businesses should be run. Every detail was taken care of right down to putting a stamp on the rebate envelope they handed me addressed to PNM! Who does that? Carlson, that's who. Call them and relax.

Beware! I called to have my restroom shutoff valves replaced.They seemed to be very nice over the phone. They also said there not like the other company's they don't charge by the hour and there trucks are fully stocked. They sent a plumber right over, he looked at the work to be done and said it shouldn't be that bad. He was done within the hour. It seemed like he didn't know how to operate the computer where he enters the work he did. He asked me to give him minute to figure it out. He then comes to the front door and informs me well it came out kinda high. I asked whats high? He replied $455.46 and shrugged his shoulders. If i would have known it was gonna be that much i wouldn't have had him do the work. Plus they don't give you a receipt right of way. The work was done 7/19/2016 and i did not receive a receipt until 7/29/2016 only after i called twice. She finally said she would just email it to me. When i was reviewing the receipt they break it down like this. Job #1 valve safety shut-off angle, 1/2in x 3/8, remove and replace $185.98 Job #2 valve safety shut-off angle, 1/2in x 3/8, remove and replace $ 79.48 Job #3 valve safety shut-off angle, 1/2in x 3/8, remove and replace $ 79.48 Job #4 valve safety shut off angle, 1/2in x 3/8, remove and replace $ 79.48 I called them and asked if they could explain why job #1 was $185.98 and then drops down to $79.48 for the other three. They could not come up with anything over the phone and said they would get back to me. They did call me and said they have the plumber that did the work on speaker phone. I was half asleep when they called. i told them i was over this and hung up. This company is full of it and i will never do business with them again. Also, i should have mentioned about an hour after the plumber completed the job i checked the vales, and two were leaking a tiny bit. I called right a way and they sent him right over and when i answered the door and told him what was going on. He replied i knew those ones were gonna give me trouble. I told myself if you knew these were gonna give you trouble why would you leave right a way without double checking your work. So just beware of this company!!

Everything went well. Unit was installed June 13th 2016. It has been very hot and the unit does not and never has cooled past 78 degrees. Three techs have come out- no resolution - The salesman and a rep from Coleman will be out next week to troubleshoot problem. My husband feels like he is getting the run around. I hope Mr. Carlson also takes a look at this problem.

Installers were very professional, organized and worked well together as a team. They stayed late to make sure our unit was working correctly on the hottest day of the year. Will recommend them to friends and will do business with them in the future.

I had an excellent experience from the initial consultation all the way through installation. Mario provided excellent service and communication in designing our system and providing all of our options. Installation went smoothly over 3 days with Josh and Allen who were professional, courteous and provided consistent feedback on the progress of the project. The work was completed on schedule and is of very high quality. the cleaned and vacuumed the work area daily and left the house better than they found it each day. Even the electrical contractor was friendly, helpful and professional. The new system is working great, even upstairs on days near 100 degrees. I would highly recommend B. Carlson to anyone needing this type of service.

Called to set up an estimate and met with Mario at my home. Mario was punctual, friendly, and very helpful. He quoted me a good price and my wife and I decided to go with B. Carlson within an hour of the quote. I called Mario and told him we wanted to go ahead with the work and by the end of the day he had us set up to have the work done by the end of the week. The day of the work was an even better experience! They called me to tell me they were heading to my house, so I told them I would be there very soon and to go ahead and start if they got there before I did. By the time I got home, the work was almost done, and I had a very cool house 1 hour later. They cleaned up all their mess, and the work was top notch. They even filled out my PNM rebate forms for me. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Sales person, Mario, was very enthusiastic about both his job and the company he worked four. He provided brochures, firm price and technical description of products. He included free duct cleaning and 1 year of free 'maintenance. Installers Josh and Daniel were very good in all aspects.

We live in a house that is 1 1/2 yrs. old Pulte home. B. Carlson did a lot of installation work for us about 1 1/2 yrs ago on some equipment and we have been pleased with the installations. The plumber even remembered that he had been in our house before and he is a nice fellow. When the builder installed kitchen faucet started leaking, we decided to upgrade the cheap Moen faucet. I asked for a installation price when I called B. Carlson and told them we would be furnishing the HansGrohe faucet. I was told the install would cost $221 plus any additional parts that he would have to furnish. So, I assumed we could trust this estimate. When the plumber arrived he immediately told us that this was a higher tier install than they normally do and the price would be $321. (He said they normally install Moen or Delta faucets) We were not happy with the price but decided to proceed because we needed to get the faucet fixed immediately. We had already waited several days for B. Carlson and monitored the leak so it would not cause any more damage than had already been caused to the cabinet floor. Now, HansGrohe faucets are excellent products and no additional parts were needed. It was a straight forward install with a good instruction book. We have always chosen HansGrohe for the quality. Took the plumber about 1/2 hour to complete and when my PhD husband was younger, he could do this type of work very quickly. IN OUR OPINION, a $321 charge for this work is excessive and we will not be choosing the company for any future work nor will they get a recommendation from us.
