Description of Work: I needed to have my septic tank pumped, which JR (Owner and GM) tells me I should do annually. Larry came out to the house on time. I couldn't remember where the riser was on my back lawn, so Larry helped me find it by using a metal prod that he would stick down into the ground until it hit cement (the tank), and then the riser (where the access lid is) which sits a bit higher. We found the outline of the tank and then the riser. Sure enough, when he carefully cut the grass back, the lid was found which he then opened and began pumping (after stretching his hose from the street through the backyard fence and into the tank). While the tank was pumping out, Larry, a delightful man, talked to me a bout Septic tanks, howmy level was good and that all looked well so far. He went on to further educate me on good septic health and how to maintain that health. He finished the job and replaced the lid and th grass, making sure it was put back just the way it was and was well watered. A month went by. I happened to notice that one of the areas ofmy grass in the backyard was starting to die off! I checked the sprinklers and found that one particular station was NOT going off, not having seen that before now due to the fat that they go off very early in the morning and I wouldn't see it, first hand. Ater trying to diagnose the problem myself ... timer problem ? ... valve problem ? ... etc., etc., I called out my sprinkler repair guys and they finally found out, after digging up the pipes to that station, that there were several holes in the pipe and the water was all draining DOWN into the ground, forming big lake type pockets around the septic tank. Oh MY! I called JR to tell him that when Larry was trying to find my lid with his metal probe, he must have poked holes in my irrigation pipes and explained the problem to him. JR didn't miss a beat! He told me that he would send a crew out in a couple of days after the water had a chance to dry up, and they would take care of the problem. The following Friday morning, three VERY nice guys showed up at my house with a truck full of dirt and a tamping machine. After a full inspection of the tank, they dug an 18" trench all around the septic tank and began digging down about three or for feet. They hauled in dirt and then tamped it down, causing the ground to re-pack around my tank. They were very careful to cut the grass and replace it when done, as carefully as possible. This crew was EXCELLENT! They preformd their work admirablly and left the yard in as good a shape as possible. My hat is really off to JR and Atlas Pumping. JR is a stand-up guy who did not shirk his responsibility or argue with me at all about the problem. They made a mistake (human!) and they quickly stepped up and fixed it! Thanks, JR and thanks Atlas Pumping. You have a customer in me, for life!
