Ordered part. Arrived super quick, but totally wrong part. I called. I calmly asked what should be done? Sent pics as requested, gave them the explicit part number the vendor (whirlpol representative) gave me. They ensured me they would resolve it. Days later. No responses and they ignored my emails: "can you give me status?" ' I NEED this part. The part you pictured w my provided part number is the one I need.' The phone calls, phone msgs left, and emails were very cordial on my part - EVERY TIME. I know mistakes happen, but, NOTHING? I would have been happy w "sry. That part is out of stock!" Just be honest. Finally, I raised a dispute w my credit card Co. just in case there is some clock limit on the transaction. Shazam - they finally responded - and in just a few hours of my raising my dispute. Result: I got stuck w a very large return shipping fee for their screw up! Wanna bet they find an "issue" with the returned item so they can reduce or decline a refund? I took pictures ... just in case!!! Yes, i used their boxes, padding, etc. I'm sure they will find something. Make sure to ask if they will pay shipping for returned goods due to errors on their paty before doing business w them. So much for customer service. Better yet - avoid this business.
Description of Work: a busted stove top needed replacing. I needed a part. cost $264 for part and $70 shipping return for tge wrong part they shipped to me.

Part received via USPS. I will install it myself later today, no cost. Should be easy to repair. Wish I hadn't signed up for a year of Angies List.
Description of Work: I couldnt find the service I needed using Angies List so I used the phone book, called AD, and they helped me order to correct part.

I watched a couple of YouTube videos on bake element replacements. The easiest way for me to remove power was to trip the oven breaker. I checked the oven clock and lights to ensure the power was dead. After removing the old element, make sure to secure the power wires attached to the element, so they don't retract behind the oven. After getting my replacement part from Applicance Parts Depot, I brought it home, inserted the new element, then tripped the circuit breaker back on. The new part fit perfectly, and the oven was back in business.
Description of Work: The lower bake element on my 30+ year-old Caloric oven failed. After checking online and with several appliance repair shops in town, what I thought would be a simple replacement quickly turned more complex. Who knew there were so many (200+?) bake element configurations out there. Because of the age of the appliance, and since Caloric was no longer in business, other parts suppliers suggested getting something "close" or buying a new oven. Fortunately, after a couple of days of frustration, I met with Elizabeth at Appliance Parts Depot. She found the correct part number microscopically imprinted on the old bake element, and was able to order the exact replacement to be shipped in a few days later for a refreshingly reasonable price. I was very pleased with the professional, yet personal service I received at Appliance Parts Depot.

Snack bin of our Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator kept falling out of the slot in the shelf it hung from. After trying unsuccessfully to find a source for a replacement shelf/lid online, I called Appliance Parts Depot (APD); talked to Carol. She pointed out that what I thought was the refrigerator's model number (taken off a label inside the door) was incomplete and told me where to find the full model number. With that to conjure with, she looked up the part numbers and verified that APD had the drawer in stock but would have to order the shelf/lid into which it fit. Checked a couple of sources and offered to order from any source I found that had the part at a lower price. (Gave me the part numbers.) Carol also asked if I had inspected the bin carefully to see if anything had broken off either the drawer or the shelf/lid, and said that I could bring our bin in to see if the drawer APD had in stock would work with the current shelf (thus possibly avoiding having to order a new shelf). Said I would do so later that day. After I took out the bin (intending to take it over to APD), I and quot;fiddledand quot; with it for a while and decided that the side brackets on the shelf/lid had been bent and wre now to far apart to hold the drawer in. I was able to bend them back to the proper distance, and the drawer not appears to stay in. I called Carol the next day to let her know that I wouldn't (yet) be bringing in the bin or ordering either part. Throughout all of this interaction Carol was helpful, cheerful, and clearly focused on solving our problem at minimum possible cost, rather than on making a sale. I'll certainly go back to APD if my repair proves temporary.
Description of Work: Advice on how to repair or replace snack bin of our refrigerator. Included looking up part numbers, checking availability, being willing to have us bring in bin to see which of two parts needed replacing.
