About us

Each space reflects your lifestyle. Life styles change over time, in the 21st century most of us live more casually than our parents did. We wish to have a more open living arrangement with the hearth or kitchen more central and open to our living areas allowing the cook to be part of the activity and the others to congregate around the kitchen. Most of the homes built in the 20th century are more formal and consist of rooms that are enclosed and separate. While some people still like that arrangement many wish to change it. Our goal is to work with you to design and construct a project that is right for your taste. Kitchen Design by AD&R Good design is a matter of getting the walls in the proper place, creating well proportioned spaces(width to height) capitalizing on views, solar energy, function and relationship to other spaces and the outdoors, and the traffic patterns or way people move through the space. Once the arrangement of these elements are addressed we then look at the style our customer wants be it modern, Santa Fe, country, eclectic etc… We work with color, texture, and scale to create beautiful relationships between flooring, cabinetry, counters, backsplash, walls, ceiling and other aspects of the project. We have been designing and constructing additions, bathrooms, kitchens both indoor and outdoor, fireplaces, patio covers, whole home remodels, and landscaped gardens for 16 years. We love working with our clients to develop projects that make their lives more comfortable and beautiful. Many of our clients have started with one of the jobs mentioned and have returned to American Design and Remodeling for all of our services mentioned.

The project went very well. Cold weather prolonged the project but we are very happy with the project and expect to use the room and patio for many years to come.

They were always prompt. They listened to us and came up with ideas to help meet our needs. The work was done before the projected finish date. The house was always left very clean and we were able to live quite comfortably during the project. The work re-vitalized our home. It is the one project that changed our home the most. We would recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Remodeled kitchen. Took down one wall, plumbing and electrical moved. Included cabinets, counters, flooring, installation of lights in two rooms, drywall, painting.

As we do with all clients, we meet to discuss the client's desires and financial constraints to collaboratively create a job proposal. We provide an estimate that includes the cost of materials and labor for the project, which are the primary drivers of overall cost. We are are a licensed and insured contractor, in business for 25 years. We provide competitive rates for the work we do. Customer satisfaction is our primary objective. We build relationships through the quality of our work which has provided us many repeat customers.

Description of Work: Met with company twice. Once at our house and once at their showroom. They were very honest, professional, helpful and did not pressure us to buy anything. The fee was for the hour and a half diving each way to our home and for the plans, which they gave to us. The price for the total remodel seemed very fair. Not only did they provide an exciting kitchen design for us but advised us on the best plans for our new windows and doors set-up for the new kitchen. The windows and doors were already ordered from a different company and we were able to make changes to make the best of our new kitchen. We are going to hire this company to do the work after returning from several weeks travel. We also were impressed the very first time they walked into our home. You could just see the wheels spinning in their heads as to the possibilities of designing our extended space. We are looking forward to getting started.

I SHOULD HAVE PUT IN MORE OF MY OWN IDEAS, BUT THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THE RESULTS. IF YOU BUY YOUR OWN MATERIALS THEY WILL REFUND THE COST OF USING THEIRS. THEY WILL HELP YOU PLAN THE AREA.
Description of Work: THEY REMODELED ONE LARGE BATHROOM AND ONE SMALL BATHROOM. THEY PUT UP NEW DRYWALL. THEY PUT IN A SHOWER IN THE SMALL BATH AND A TUB IN THE LARGE ONE. I HAD NEW SINKS, STOOLS, HARDWARE AND TILE FLOORS AND LIGHT FIXTURES.
