He was great but the project entailed more than we expected. We ended up getting it refunded.

All seemed fine at first; Jerome is very personable and spent a lot of time working with an uncooperative nursery. Now, two years later, one of the 2 trees he planted isn't thriving--were they really matched, I wonder? The drip system has had to be repaired twice (finally called Just Sprinklers, who fixed the faulty installation). Weeds came promptly back and I keep cutting suckers myself, so I wonder: what did we get for our $1300 plus $600 we paid for the call-back on the weeds and the sprinkler? I have to say, the yard did look great at first, and I'm not too experienced in these things, so maybe that's just what it's like to be an older lady who can no longer keep a yard up the way Daddy used to do!

We called a couple of companies to give us a quote. Alliance was not the lowest cost, but they seemd more professional. We scheduled a date for the work and the workers arrived a little late, but they called to let us know there was a traffic problem and they were on the way. They did a great job and we now have a beautiful lawn.

Disappointment! My husband and I built our pergola the summer before and we were excited and ready to build a colored stamped concrete pad under it. We joined Angie?s list and started our search. After reviewing many companies, we decided on Alliance Landscaping, Inc. Jerome responded to our e-mail the next day, yea! We set up a 3:00 appointment in May 2012 to get a firm estimate. My husband and I left work early. We were excited; we were finally going to get started on our backyard, beginning with the colored stamped concrete pad. We waited and waited. Nobody came or called. Finally at 4, my husband called Jerome Maldonado and he said his son was delayed and apologized for not calling. Jerome said somebody should be at our house around 5 and that they would call before they came. We waited and waited. Nobody called or came to give us an estimate. We were very disappointed and we both wasted our time waiting for them. We never received a call from Jerome. Maybe it was a premonition to what type of work they would have done on our concrete. I would not recommend Alliance Landscaping, Inc. They are not reliable, conscientious, or considerate. Poper Pools completed our colored stamped concrete pad and did an excellent job for a reasonable price. They were a great company to work with: reliable, conscientious, and considerate!

It was a pretty big project, and they did a beautiful job there.

I did my dealings with Jerome. I was so impressed that I referred him to a friend of mine. I give him an A so far. He was very good.

Jerome came out to give estimate and spent quite a while listening to what I wanted to do. He was very professional and he quickly had an estimate for me. He then was diligent with follow up and negotiation of a start date. Before I knew it the Gas company and PNM were out marking the lines. The crew was punctual and Jerome came by a couple of times during the work to monitor the progress. They did the complete job in 2 days! I was impressed with the number of workers and amount of equipment. The cleanup was great and my yard looks really good. We never really had a chance to look over the plans and discuss prior to the work being done but Jerome just went with his expertise and got it done. He has made it known that he is available for any concerns or changes and even offered to come show me about my new drip system programming. It wasn't cheap but I'm happy with the work and I will definitely consider using Alliance again when I'm able to do my backyard.

Although it seemed a little too fast (not enough review times between iterations), we had a very good experience with Jerome during the estimate phase. Their price came in at the same relative level as we expected and any extras that came up during the initial work phase were discussed and agreed upon prior to incorporating into project. They started when he said they would and even though his schedule seemed too aggressive to me, they finished when I expected them too. Unfortunately a tree was removed without previous discussion, however Appliance made good on it by replacing it with another at no cost to us. The biggest item of discussion for this review was that before we could go through a checklist of remaining items, Jerome and his crew had already fixed them and more. We still have to go through a final walk through with Jerome (delayed due to snow) to cover items such as irrigation control, winterizing of plants, etc., but we can't find anything wrong. We just wish that all contractors were more like Appliance. This company deserves more recognition than we can give them and we highly recommend them to anyone who needs any landscaping type of work. Thanks for being honest Appliance.

We were very impressed with Jerome and liked his vision for our back yard. He prepared the initial estimate before leaving. The labor required to install the drip system down the sides of our home was very demanding and we felt the estimate was very fair. Once we decided to go with Alliance, Jerome came back out and was very willing to go over everything and clarify any questions we had. He was very creative and had really good ideas to solve our needs. Jerome and his crew showed up as scheduled. The crew was professional, polite and did an excellent job. They paid attention to details and did a lot of little extras which were above and beyond. After the job was completed I noticed a gurgling noise and water coming from under the gravel outside of the garden box. I called Jerome and his men came out that same evening and fixed the problem. A couple of weeks later one of the buried drip lines broke and again the guys came by the same day on their way home from another job and fixed it. I could not be happier with my new yard, irrigation system, and the quality of professionalism provided by Jerome and his crew..

Overall it went very well. Jerome came out and gave estimate and suggestions on pathway and gravel options as well as plants. He was more than willing to come back out to discuss other options for landscaping and get clarity. Discussions were mostly by email and phone. When work began, any concerns or questions were resolved and work continued. Did a very professional job.

Everything went extremely smoothly from start to finish!

Jerome Maldonado, the owner of Alliance Landscaping, is a professional and really knows his landscaping. From the beginning, he impressed us with his knowledge of what works and what doesn't work. Out of all the estimates we got, he was the only one who followed up to see if we had any questions and actually seemed interested in our business (that was refreshing!!). His estimate was fair. The work went fairly smoothly, although there were a few snags. What was originally quoted as being a two to three day job ended up taking 10 days to completely finish because of a sod measurement snafu. We also intially had trouble with the sprinkler system but Jerome quickly responded on a Saturday and fixed the problem. I asked lots of questions and made a few changes to the design, but Jerome always returned my calls and worked with us on the changes. The cost of the job was exactly what he quoted, which was nice (no suprises at the end). At times, I felt Jerome was a little overwhelmed with work or maybe spread himself too thin or had too many things going on . . . but nonetheless, I think Alliance Landscaping did a good job and would recommend them and also use them again in the future.

THEY DID A FANTASTIC JOB REPLACING THE WOOD PORTION OF MY BLOCK WALL! VERY PROFESSIONAL MASONRY JOB! SHOWED UP ON TIME, PERFORMED THE JOB IN ONE DAY AND THOROUGHLY CLEANED UP THE WORK AREA! A PLEASURE TO DEAL WITH!!!

When the preliminary estimate turned out beyond our budget, Jerome reworked the plan until it fell within our budget and still preserved most of the original diagram. The manager, Jerome, was extremely professional and courteous. Always responded to emails, phone calls, and answered any concerns we had promptly. He worked around our schedule, showed up briefly each day of the job to verify the work was being done right and did a final run-through with us. He even added on additional hose access for future drip sprinklers without extra charge. His workers were efficient. The job was over in a day and a half. Jerome personally helped us fill out the city Xeriscape Rebate forms. It was a pleasure dealing with Alliance, such a well-run and professional business.

Company manager (Jerome) scheduled to meet me at the house. I explained the situation (fixing up a house to sell it), and he understood my desires quite well. We went over the job in detail, and he was very helpful in making suggestions, guiding me on how to keep the costs low, and explaining exactly what he would do. Work was scheduled about two-three weeks later, because the company is very busy. Work was delayed a few days due to inclement weather. Most of the work was completed in two days, except for installation of the grass which was not available from the supplier. It was completed a few days later when the grass was supplied. During the job, there were two small sections that were not in the work scope but they decided to go ahead and include them without any additional charge. Jerome was in contact with me throughout the process. The company is very professional and the work was better than I expected. I highly recommend this company.

My yard was a complete mess. Besides needing pruning and reshaping, there were many small weeds I couldn't cope with. I don't know how they did it; it was like magic. Beyond that, they told me I could call and ask them for advice any time, as I am really a novice gardener. They were so knowledgeable and nice I feel quite welcome to do so. It was a big chunk of money for me (a whole crew worked most of the day), but the result in the yard is equivalent to having bought a roomful of new furniture. I just love to go out there now and stroll around.

I have had interactions with them. I talked to them on the phone yesterday. The issue with the landscapers we talked to is because of financial issues we are going to have to put it off until next year. However, I can say with 100 percent certainty that the guy from Alliance, his name was Jerome, was by far the most knowledgeable, by far the most creative, and by far the best listener and the most receptive to what we were looking for in our vision. When we do go forward with this project it will be with him 100 percent. He followed up. He was just dynamite.

I would say the experience went fairly well.

Spoke to Jerome from Alliance and he was able to come out in a couple of days to look at the yard. It took him about 20 minutes to arrive at an estimate which was significantly less then 4 other contractors who I contacted. He also stated that the work could be completed in less then a day. I gave Alliance the contract and later we added some additional scope to the project. He stated that this new work would not affect the schedule and only added about $200 dollars to the cost. He was able to start a week earlier then originally planned and showed up at the house with his crew at 8:30 in the morning. He and I discussed the scope and I then left for work. I came back at lunchtime to check on the progress and found that his crew had already completed nearly 3/4 of the yard with the last of the gravel on the street in front of the house waiting to be moved. I spoke with him later and he told me that they had completed the work at around 2:00 in the afternoon. When I arrived at the house after work I was amazed that the street was totally cleaned up and the path from the front to the back was cleaned up with no sign that a bobcat had ever driven over the path. The work was completed with no problems and far exceeded my expectations. Jerome was the epitome of professionalism and it was a pleasure to deal with him and his office. I would highly recommend Alliance to anyone needing a great landscaper.

They were very nice and professional. We haven't selected who we are going to use yet. We got a very thorough quote and plans from him. We will be regrading our rocks in the front and adding boulders and plantings. The bulk of the job would be replacing our retaining wall. We are waiting for our loan and waiting to see how all the landscapers we interviewed are going to be able to adapt to the new budget. He was pretty good and gave me quotes for some different levels like what we could do for 10000 and what we could do 21000. The lowest bid was 10000 and he included quite a bit of stuff for that. He is very prompt with returning phone calls and he prepared the bid very quickly. We are considering using his services. I am sure he has done his very best.

They showed up on time and had the job done in 2 1/2 days-very friendly and professional-the trees had very deep roots and they spent hours to make sure they had them out-the new trees and scrubs look great. This is the third large jobe we have had Alliance do for us and they have not disappointed.

HE DID A VERY NICE JOB ON MY YARD. THE TREES HE PLANTED LOOKED AMAZING WITH THE REST OF THE YARD AND THE OTHER PLANTS HE PUT IN COMPLIMENTED THEM PERFECTLY.
