The measuring and ordering of the Hunter/Douglas shutters went very smoothly. The installation also was very well done. When one panel needed to be reordered and replaced even several months after the initial installation, there was no problem whatsoever. They stand behind their work.

I am not happy. The window shade is good, one set of shutters works, the other three do not stay open when opened, they close themselves. The installer "fixed" them by bending the hinges chipping paint of one, scraping the shutter's frame on another, then pulling the hinge pin up so that the metal shows. Hunter Douglas told the sales rep that the shutters are not supposed to stay open, you only open them to wash the windows, otherwise all you can do is open the louvers. So you might as well get venetian blinds, those you could pull up. The installer was very skilled especially in caulking around the style I chose, however he was not given enough caulk to finish the job, and when he returned he was given the wrong kind. He called about a family emergency about 2 weeks ago and I haven't heard from him since.

When I first stopped in the store, I was given some ballpark estimates for our (giant) shade. The choice of materials was great, with lots of options in how it could look and operate. Elaine came to our home to look over the project, and helped us to find exactly what would look good and function as needed. She listened to us, was respectful of our budget, and simply knows what she is doing, not a small thing with window treatments. Once the order was placed, the blind came in on time. Two people came to do the installation. It looks beautiful, and preserves the clean look we wanted. Working with All About Blinds & Shutters was a professional, pleasant experience every step of the way. We were always kept informed on scheduling via phone calls & e-mail.

I am the person who wrote the review below and gave this business an F. No, this is NOT a bogus review and I am not a competitor. I am a mom with a family living in Albuquerque who had a horrible experience with this company. And yes, I had to sue them to get my money back. It was a stressful disaster. I am not sure if this business has changed hands or not, but the person I dealt with was the owner and her name was Robin. Read my review below. Every word of it is true. What good is Angie's list if you cannot post what happened to you in order to warn other people? To have the business write a response stating that my review was written by a competitor and is bogus is just ridiculous.

I have used All About Blinds and their predecessor, The Blind Man, for all my window shades. The last time they were out was to make a shade for a sliding door that had just been replaced. The designer called back to her office to check on the color of white we had used previously so that it would look the same. I will use them again when I need blinds and/or shutters.

Consultation went well as did installation. Only issue was paying final bill. Took over 1 1/2 months to finally get bill paid.

This is the best experience I have had with a business. I started out in the showroom with Redd, who was super helpful and friendly. She discussed options with me and set up an appointment for Elaine to come to my house to measure & assist with type &color selections. Redd also followed up with me throughout the experience and was always so pleasant--she was a pleasure to work with. When Elaine came to my house she spent a lot of time ensuring I was getting exactly what I wanted. She, too, was very helpful and friendly and wonderful to work with. She also followed up with me several times before she placed my order to ensure it was perfect in every detail. I actually spent more time with Redd & Elaine than I normally would have in dealing with a business because they were so helpful and such a joy to be around. Emerson & Ken came to install my blinds and did a great job--the installation was professional and efficeintly accomplished. I had a problem with one blind and they worked relentlessly to ensure it was fixed--even having a new blind made. Emerson came to my house several times to check on the operation of the blind, even going so far as to videotape it in operation so he could show the manufacturer the precise issue. He was very patient & professional and I appreciated his thoroughness. I absolutely love my new blinds. They are exactly what I wanted--beautiful and functional and made in the USA. I wish all companies were as professional and as professionally staffed as All About Blinds. They were exceptional throughout the entire process!

As we were having all of our windows replaced (and the sliding glass patio door too), we had taken down all of the HD window coverings and installation tabs prior to the window replacement job. Two of our HD coverings needed cord replacement, so we dropped them off at Emerson's repair office in the All about Blinds shop on Osuna. After the windows and sliding door unit were replaced, Emerson was here the next day to re-install all of our previous HD window coverings and install the new door curtain. The job was done promptly and professionally. Both Susan and Elaine were very helpful in helping us choose the new door curtain and in coordinating the install date and time. Elaine was even here when the window installers came to measure, and confirmed with them that the old HD window support tabs would need to be removed. She said that if we had problems removing the support tabs, that Emerson could do that for us. Fortunately, the removal process was straightforward enough for us to do by ourselves. All in all, it was a well coordinated effort and a professional install.

The information provided on my initial phone call was thorough regarding cost of travel from Albuquerque to Santa Fe and the appointment with the design expert, Joy, was set up within a weeks time. She arrived promptly for the appointment and worked with us on various options in quality and price in order to provide us the best blinds for our needs. We had some windows that required extra quality, light filtering due to heavy sun and others across the house which we were able to downgrade slightly with a good color match and save money. The installer arrived also exactly on time and his work was great. He had to trim the clerestory window blinds slightly as those windows are a bit uneven but he had the equipment with him. The blinds make such a difference vs our old blinds because they filter light better and the addition of the remote control blinds on clerestory windows means we aren't cringing from the sun when it sets. We absolutely love the new blinds and wish we had made the change sooner. The price was slightly higher than it would have been with some other dealers, but quality and service more than make up for it. Highly recommend this retailer.

I met with Joy, the designer, for about an hour and it was a breeze to figure out what I wanted for this house. She is very easy to work with and clearly has a wealth of experience. We looked through the fabric samples and quickly got it all put together. The fabricating took a little less than three weeks, I believe. In terms of installation, Emerson arrived promptly and was in and out in a flash. Overall, I am very pleased with the beautiful custom shades and plan on working with them again in the future for the remaining two rooms once I've decided their purpose and have a style in mind.

We went to the showroom and quickly found some blinds we really liked. We scheduled for someone to come out an measure and double check the colors a few days later. The woman who came out arrived early and was very friendly and professional. She made accurate measurements of all the windows and found several discounts for us. A couple weeks later the installer came on time to install the blinds. He was very professional and did a good job. All the blinds are straight and work well. He was good about cleaning up any messes and finished the job ahead of schedule.

The staff was excellent. The lady was very good that came out and gave an estimate. The person who installed the window treatments was excellent. Both of the workers were on time. This company was very professional from the sales side to the insulation side.

They have a good selection, and the people are very nice, but some of their business practices are lacking. I was supposed to get three samples in the mail, but they never arrived. I went to the store during their posted hours, but they changed the... but didn't change them on the internet or their voicemail. My time is very limited and I wasn't able to get samples from the store to take home. They did arrange for the designer to come out with the samples, which she did and arrived on time. I made the selection, paid half the cost, which is more than I ever imagined paying, and then waited, told it would take 10 days. On day 12 I finally call the store, and oh, yeah, they came in. Let's schedule installation. The installation went very well and they went the extra mile by filling in the holes from the old drapes.

Ken was on time (rare quality these days!), very professional but at the same time friendly with a great sense of humor. Work was done perfectly - and discussion and measurement of possible future work was easy with no pressure. Overall cost was very reasonable. Working with Gale was easy - she was willing to use phone and e-mail according to my needs, and the estimate / follow up process was smooth. Definitely will call them if there is a "next time". Firstly Elaine the designer came out to the house, she was punctual and very friendly and I new right away that it was going to be a good experience. She listened to what I wanted and made recommendations taking into account all of my information and price point. There was no sales pressure what so ever. After I agreed and the order was placed the office called to set up an appointment for installation. Ken and two other guys came out. They were punctual, polite and friendly. Ken is the owner and very proud of his business! He showed me how to work all the blinds and made sure I was a 100% satisfied. Ken also fixed two of my other blinds for free! We have had many teams through our house over the last few years due to renovation and they were by far the kindest and most efficient company from beginning to end. I highly recommend ' All About Blinds and Shutters LLC 'and I will be using them in the future!

They came out to do the estimate on 10.3.14 for several of my homes; I still have not heard from them. I would discourage anyone from doing business with them as they do not know how to follow up with customers. Later (10/1/15): They had a warehouse sale where they donate the profits to charity, and I talked with them about the poor follow up while I was there. My feelings had been hurt because I took a lot of time to have the company do the measurements, then didn't hear anything. It turns out that the measurements were sent out late (and the employee was written up for that), then the post office ended up sending my quote back to them because I was gone longer than I had planned and the post office stopped holding my mail. All About Blinds and Shutters gave me two free window blinds for my inconvenience (worth hundreds of dollars).

Very professional. They came and put up the blinds, touched up with paint where needed and were very neat. We are very pleased.

It went wonderfully. They were due here at 9am and they were a couple minutes early. Mason is the owner and his stepson, Ken, came and put up my shutters. Ken did an execellent job. They are a good company. They are clean and on time. I love the shutters.

The quality of the product is excellent and helps a lot with thermal management in my house. The initial contact was handled with professionalism and tact. I was shown a selection of styles and colors and guided through the choices. After taking measurements in a very capable manner, Joy calculated the cost and made an estimate for the work. The initial quote was made for an additional double window, but when I expressed reluctance to spend that much money at one time, the quote was revised and we agreed on the three windows. The blinds arrived quickly from the factory source. The installer, Ken, arrived promptly and worked efficiently. The blinds were installed exactly as I had requested. All questions that I had before and during the installation were answered thoroughly. From start to finish, the process went smoothly.

This company was by far the most responsive and the most communicative. It was not the best price but I felt for the quality and the customer service, it was the best price. I felt like I got the most bing for my block with this company. They are very professional. They communicated with me via e-mail which I like because I haven’t been in writing and it was very prompt. When they came to talk to me what I wanted, I wasn’t really sold yet on the products that I wanted to use and I felt that the demonstration of the auctions that were available was really thorough and really met mind me as to what I wanted and within my budget.

Matt and Ken were there exactly at 10 am. After showing them where all the windows were, they began unloading their vans and went right to work. It was amazing. It looked so complicated I left the room and didn't come back until it was finished. It was beautiful. In order to make the look complete they had to remove some of the window sill and install a covering made from the shutter material. The corners were mitered perfectly, there wasn't a scratch anywhere and everything looked perfectly level. They took the time to explain everything they were doing. They each worked on separate windows and as soon as one was completed they were on to the next. They made it look so simple. I couldn't believe how fast each one was installed. They cleaned up after each window was done. Matt even hung a nail for me that was too high for me to reach. They created a system for the shutters to slide on my slider door. It is incredible. I never thought I could have shutters on a slider. They not only worked well as a team but genially seemed to be friends.

These guys are the best. The came out right away to assess my need. They were wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable. The new blinds arrived quickly. Ken Drury, the installer, was just great. The price was very reasonable. I wish all businesses had the a service ideal as good as theirs. Terrific!

They responded promptly to my phone call, asking someone to come out and examine a vane of a vertical blind that had broken off the track. The design consultant came out the next day, and determined that it was not feasible to repair the vane. , She suggested installing a new blind, which we agreed to do. The blind was installed promptly and efficiently on January 14, 2014.

Everything went perfectly. The scheduler, the design consultant/sales rep, and the installer were all completely prompt and professional. They even made a followup call to make sure I was satisfied. I was in a hurry to have the work done ASAP, and the blind was finished and installed exactly when promised. The installer did his work faster than promised. I had used Robin Schalk, the design consultant, before she joined this company and she remembered me and everything she had sold me before. It is a pleasure to do business with people who know what they are doing and handle very task perfect.y
