The technician arrived on time and went right into troubleshooting the problem with my furnace. He quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced the part and moved to troubleshoot the second issue which had to do with my AC unit. Once again he quickly found out what the problem was, made the needed repair and got my unit running again quickly. Mr. Mario was very professional, knowledgeable and even gave me a few tips to help me run my unit efficiently. I definitely will call this company for maintenance of my unit and future repairs,
Description of Work: The technician replaced a small part on my furnace and did some troubleshooting on my AC.

I was dealing with Ken Cole "Service Technician" which at the beginning was very responsive. After getting three bids from different companies I decided that Albuquerque Plumbing Heating & Cooling will be the company. After many calls, new bids, etc., the agreement was that the installation will be on 05-30-14. Ken agrees on the phone that the warranty will cover the labor for a full three years on both the water heater and the AC relocation. On May 28th (Wednesday) as I did not have the new proposal showing the warranty on the labor (3 years) I contacted Ken by phone and did not get any return calls so I called the office number and requested the person answering the phone that if and when she would spoke with Ken, I would appreciate a return call from him as I was a little worry (the installation was in two days) and upset with his follow up. On Thursday I finally spoke with Ken which at that time told me that he made a mistake and that the 3 years warranty for the labor on both units was not accepted by the service manager, I told him that I was disappointed but that due to the time constraint to go ahead with the installation the next day. At that time Ken said that it would not be possible for him to do the installation as he did not had time to rent a crane to move the AC. So he ended the conversation saying that on Monday (06-02-14) someone from his office will call me to reschedule the installation. On Monday morning I received a call telling me that the next available install day would be Friday 06-13-14, after over a month of negotiations I felt that this company should not have my business. On the same day as I was frustrated, unhappy and upset. I contacted one of the other companies and did the installation on 06-06-14.
Description of Work: The original work was to install a new 50 gallons water heater and move my AC unit from my roof to the floor. Which was never done by this company.

Response from Albuquerque Plumbing Heating & Cooling
I apologize for any confusion and subpar service experienced by this customer. Our ongoing focus on superior customer service was not represented correctly in this instance. I addressed this instance first hand with the technician’s supervisor to untangle this debacle. The technician on this site overstepped his boundaries by offering a warranty that was outside of his authorization to extend. We as a company could not warranty [member name removed] equipment for a three year timeframe as the equipment was 8+ years old. The manufacture will not even warranty their equipment beyond 10 years of age. We however did extend an offer to cover our installation and workmanship for 3 years well beyond our standard 1 year warranty. As it pertains to the scheduling and estimate process we apologize for the poor experience received. Several deficiencies were identified in this transaction far below the high standards required to be upheld by our service team. The technician involved in this transaction is no longer a representative of our company. Thank you for this report of your poor experience. I know that as a company we have made the corrections to ensure this does not repeat itself. We apologize for this customer not experiencing the superior service our service team performs but are confident that if this transaction were to repeat itself this report would be another A+ rating along with our 680+ A Ratings. Thank You Matthew Gonzales President

Rated quality "B" because initial installation was faulty. But, they re-installed and followed up with City inspector at no added cost. System now working properly and passed City inspection. The person who installed furnace incorrectly no longer works for this company. I was not please about the problems encountered, but have been very pleased that they stand behind their work and have corrected all problems, at not added cost. I will continue to use them for future plumbing and heating repairs.

Using Albuquerque Plumbing, Heating & Cooling was a great experience. Living in Minneapolis, I had to find competent contractors to repair busted pipes for my sister's home in Albuquerque. I first contacted Albuquerque Plumbing and was greeted by Angel. She was very pleasant, knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. A very good impression with first contact to the company. Another company I called, the first contact acted like "Thank goodness it's Friday" and I am out of here in a half hour. Angel offered to have Justin, a technician, to talked to me. The other company said a tech would call me on Monday andnever did. Justin was alo very nice, patient and knowledgeable. I learned a l;ot from him. Mike Ford (Mr. Mike) was in charged of repairing the pipes throughout the ho;use and was very thorough. He explained everything to me, found the water heater was way passed its prime and was out of code. He noticed the bath tub fixtures nededed replacement and I wanted to replace the faucets in bathroom and kitchen. No problem. He also informed me about the irrigation value was not working. Mike returned my calls and was very accommodating. If I didn't have Mike explain everything to me, I wouldn't have known what questions to ask the other company to compare to. The other company withouty coming in the home quoted me a price. He said he wanted my business. I took him through and showed him the heater, asked him about the fixtures which he wouldn't have told me about in either the water heater or fixtures. When the quotes came in Albuquerque Plumbing was somewhat higher. I called Mike and told him I really wanted to work with him but the price was higher then the other company. Mike and owner matche the price. Mike Ford is a total asset to Albuquerquer Plumbing, Heating and Cooling. I wish this company was here in Minneapolis. Thanks Albuquerque Plumbing and Mike Ford.

Unfortunately, a couple days before the technician arrived, my water heater started clanking. I ended up having to replace it since I had just purchased the home and apparently, it hadn't been maintained well. The technician performed the rest of the service and deducted an appropriate amount from my water heater replacement service. The technician was great - personable, knowledgeable and willing to explain every bit of every process. He wasn't in a hurry to just "get it done". This was a quality service from a quality company and my first time using a plumber in Albuquerque. I still use this company and always request the same technician.

so professional. they did not charge me upfront for "diagnostic fee", even though I practically insisted. they diagnosed problem and then came back out next day...I was actually worried because they did not charge me that first day. I was worried they would not come back because no charge and maybe the problem was too big or too much of a hassle...but no. they called me next day and came out. They repaired in an hour and charged very fairly as other homeowners told me of their experiences, plus based on my own experiences with multiple properties I own.

Called the company to get a quote for replacing a leaking 50 gal gas water heater. Quote given was $1400.00. Technician was at the house for half an hr and performed no work except for the quote. When I refused the quote, he informed me it would cost $89.50 + tax for simply showing up. I thought that was unfair so I called the company to negotiate the price down. I ended up paying $65.00 + tax. While I still think that was high, I paid it because the technician showed up very quickly and was extremely polite and informative. UPDATE 5/20/2014: Company called to discuss my overall experience with the service call, at which time they offered to refund the diagnostic fee of $65.00 +tax because there was no actual work performed. I have changed my overall review of this company to A. I would definitely use this company in the future and highly recommend them to other AngiesList users based on the excellent customer service. Every employee I dealt with was extremely professional, polite, and timely.

It went great! The office staff was fantastic. I called the day before to ask if the technicians could arrive as close to 8am as possible because of of other last minute schedule changes. The technicians were able to help me out and got there by about 8:15. I told Leonard what I knew about the flooding that occurred. He tried to recreate the circumstances that had led to the flooding as reported by my renter. Fortunately, there was no back up of water. He charged me the minimum fee. I purchased a coupon from Albuquerque Plumbing Heating and Cooling for a 20% discount on a furnace + A/C maintenance; a really good deal. Ken performed the maintenance on the furnace and was very efficient. Both technicians were pleasant and professional. By far, the best experience I've had with this type of business in ABQ.

He had to reach into very small opening underneath bathroom sink to unbolt motor. He then took it out, checked it, removed calcium build-up which kept the motor stuck. He then re-installed, filled up the jacuzzi tub with water and ran it for 10 min to ensure all the jets were working correctly. The provider also tighten sink water handles and adjusted the sink stopper.

The plumber I normally use was booked, so I decided to call Abq Plumbing based on the excellent reviews they received on AngiesList. Would definitely recommend.

We don't use any other plumbers now! They are professional, kind, and punctual. We recently had our pipes replaced, and they did an excellent job - we didn't even notice they were working in the house! They respond quickly to our calls, and when they've had to help us out with something after hours or stay a little past the job, they have rounded-down our bills too. We've been really happy with them and highly recommend all of their employees!

I bought a coupon for a $160 check of the main sewer line running from my house to the street. I was NOT having any drain problems. However, since a very bad experience in Florida, main sewer lines make me nervous. This amount of money is significant for me, but I considered it an investment in peace of mind. I bought my house from a man who admitted he had not been taking care of it. The office staff was helpful and the service was easy to schedule. They explained carefully that if the house had no "clean outs," it would cost an additional $50, for going in from the roof. The technician called ahead as promised and arrived promptly. He was very professional and pleasant. The clean outs were stuck shut. For all I know, they had not been opened since the house was built in 1986. The technician worked carefully for a long time, to get them open, and did not whine about the problem. (People you hire in Florida tend to be big whiners if they run into any difficulties on a job.) Once the clean outs were open, the work was done efficiently and thoroughly. I was able to watch on the monitor screen as the drains were checked, and thank goodness there are no problems.

The worst is driving into your garage Saturday afternoon to find a pool of water standing on the floor. The culprit is a burst water heater pipe. Two months earlier I had used Albuquerque Plumbing to install a heating and air conditioning system. I still had their phone number handy and gave them a call. The telephone answering service relayed my message and within five (5) minutes I received a callback from Matt Gonzales. After explaining the problem, he offered to fix it. He arrived within 30 minutes. Immediately he got his tools and materials together, and started the repair. In no time he removed the old pipe and installed a new one, soldering one end and fastening the other end. Matt was professional, friendly, and knowledgable of what he was doing. As for the amount he charged for the weekend work, it was very reasonable. Albuquerque Plumbing's phone number has a permanent place in my smartphone. They are the best.
