They were incredibly respectful while at my house. I would hire them to do anything. I even let one technician have access to the house. Mike the technician, Angel and Rhonda the receptionists all made me feel like I was the most important client in the world.

I cannot say enough good things about this company. Recently we had an insurance issue with our swamp coolers. He mentioned that we had to get them replaced; one we had on the roof and the one on the ground floor. He told us about the rebates and how to do those. They told us what to expect with the smell. They cleaned up after themselves too. They spent a good day here. He told us we were going to have a lot of problems if we do not get them taken care of. We really trust him. He was very informative about plumbing and construction. He also worked with the contractors and the insurance company too. He is very personable and the whole company feels like family. Them, their product and their service all deserve A++!
Description of Work: This company has done a numerous things for us. Anthony is the one we deal with. He put in 2 furnaces. He has responded to thermostat issues. He gave me his cell number and he will always come out for an emergency too. He will even come out at 9:00 at night if needed.

I paid more than $4,400 to have APHC install a MasterCool swamp cooler onto my roof. My previous cooler was installed in a window, so the company had to cut a hole into my roof, etc. The technicians were all nice, and everything seemed great--until the first rain after the installation. I came home after yoga class to find water streaming down the walls and dripping all over my hallway hardwood floor and dripping into the floor furnace. Long story short: they came out three times to "fix" the leakage and blamed it on my roof. I blame it on a poor installation. The main technician I dealt with wanted me not to call the office to report leaks, but to call him directly. Every time they "fixed" it, it kept leaking. I wrote to the CEO to complain, and the next day a new technician completely uninstalled and reinstalled the cooler. They had the drywall and paint redone (hall paint ruined) at no extra $ to me.
Description of Work: Took a while for APHC to get it right, but they finally did. After I finally complained to the CEO, my cooler was uninstalled and reinstalled correctly, the ruined paint in the hallway was taken care of at no extra charge, and I was told my furnace would be checked this fall to ensure the wiring hadn't been ruined by lots of water leaking into it.

After 10 years of fault-free service, my ?refrigerated? air conditioner started to leak water. I researched Angie?s list of ?A? rated Heating & A/C companies to determine the best rated company in Albuquerque. I was looking for the ?A? rated company with the most reviews (i.e., the most customer feedback). Albuquerque Plumbing Heating & Cooling had the most reviews, at 251, and so I called them that morning. They were able to get a technician out to my house by 1:00 pm that day. The technician (Kevin Lafollette) arrived on time and promptly started to troubleshoot the problem. He cleared the rust deposits clogging the main drain line, which was the main problem, and then checked to ensure that the coils were not freezing up. He also determined that the refrigerant in the system was low and needed a boost. The unit is now working better than ever. I thought that the price was fair; I was charged for one hour of labor, plus refrigerant. Overall I was very happy with the service and would recommend this company. Kevin was also nice enough to answer the many questions that I had concerning the A/C operation.
Description of Work: Cleaned rust out of condenser line and recharged refrigerant system.

We first used the company last April when we had our water evaporative cooling system inspected and turned on for summer. Albuquerque Plumbing sent Ray Day out and we were very happy. The system hadn't been used for a couple of years and we were ready for the worst. Ray looked it over and said that everything looked pretty good and he did a thorough cleaning and servicing and changed the water filter. He also took a long time to explain to us how to use the system since we were new to this type of air conditioner. The system worked great for several months but early this week it quit. I called Albuquerque Plumbing to see if they could send Ray back out. They said he was booked fairly solid but since our system was out and the temperatures were in the 90's they would shift things around and send him out the next day. Ray came out as scheduled and quickly went to work. He found that the water pump was bad so he changed it. The whole job took him about half an hour. When he came in to tell us we were good to go we asked how much we owed him and he said not to worry about it and that he would see us in October to change the system back to heating mode. Over the past 40 years my wife and I have lived in 6 different states and owned 10 different houses. We have used many different tradesmen and have experienced good, average and bad, but Ray is the best. I would hope that all of Albuquerque Plumbing's technicians are equal to our experience with Ray. At this time we would not dream of using anyone else.
Description of Work: Evaporative house air conditioning system wasn't working. Replaced water pump.

The plumber arrived on time and started to drain the water heater. As soon as he started draining the water heater, he called me out to see the process. There was a lot of sediment coming out of the hose and into the bucket. He said that continuing to drain the unit would be pointless, as it was obvious it had reached the end of its useful life, due to the amount of sediment that was being discharged. He recommended replacing the water heater and the expansion tank attached to it. Upon his inspection of the radiant heat boiler, he found a part that he said was worn out and should be replaced. I agreed to have the expansion tank replaced and the boiler part, but was not in a position to replace the water heater, so I told him to hold off on that. Since the water heater was still heating the water, I didn't feel it was imperative that it be replaced immediately (which would have been very costly). He then stated that he would order the parts and let me know when they came in so he could schedule a time to come install them, and he then started to pack up to leave. I had to remind him that part of the deal I purchased was to do the "whole house plumbing inspection". He then came into the house to do the inspection, and he said everything looked fine. A week or so later, he came back to install the expansion tank and the boiler part. He was timely and courteous. I wouldn't use this provider again for two reasons: First, he seemed a little too eager to find things that were wrong and needed replacing. (To be fair, since I am unfamiliar with household plumbing, I always feel vulnerable when dealing with plumbing contractors...I can't be sure whether or not they are telling the truth or just want to make some money). Ten months later, our water heater is still working fine, so I'm glad I didn't take his recommendation to replace it at the time the services were rendered. Second, the fact that he was coming to our house based upon the deal purchased through Angie's List and that he was prepared to leave before completing the "whole house plumbing inspection" was very disappointing. There were two objectives of his visit: to drain/flush the water heater and complete the plumbing inspection. The fact that he forgot this was a little off-putting and made me hesitant to deal with this provider again in the future.
Description of Work: I purchased the water heater flush/whole house plumbing inspection deal advertised on Angie's List. He inspected the water heater, boiler and examined underneath all sinks, as well as looking at each toilet.

We had an Angie's List coupon from November for a heater/AC tune up. Mario arrived on time and was very professional. He serviced the heater but said that it was too cold to truly test the AC and that it would be better for them to come out again in the spring when it warmed up, and that they wouldn't charge extra for that service. We appreciated the honesty (he could have just "tested" the system and told us all was good) and the deal. Last month they came back and cleaned/tested the AC. We needed some refrigerant, which they took care of that day and at a discount. Overall, great service, value, and professionalism.

Initially someone came out to resolve the thermostat issue, and he did. He also said he could properly fix a previously not properly serviced filter. He actually ended up messing up the filter. I contacted the company and they sent out a manager promptly to fix this problem. I thought they responded well and paid attention to what I said. My complaint was attended to immediately, and the manager was professional. A manager names Jason S. really improved the situation.

Leonard Yazzie was the plumber sent to our house. He was punctual and very professional. We have an unusual p-trap set up under our sink that we inherited when we bought the house "as-is". It didn't take long for Leonard to explain the problem with our set-up, which we already suspected. He explained what was happening and what needed to be rectified, along with a ball-park estimate. Everything he said sounded reasonable and straight forward. This bathroom will undergo a new tile job in the near future and we will call Leonard back to make the permanent fix to our sink. In the meantime he got us back up and running. We are very pleased with the service we received from this company and especially from Leonard Yazzie. there is other work that will be needed to our house in the future as we continue to update and remodel our house. We will call Albuquerque Plumbing Heating and Cooling to do all the work we anticipate in the future with out hesitation.

AC unit was not putting out cool air and unit outside was making unusual noise. I called them on July 2nd and they said they wouldn't be able to come out till the following week. I was disappointed but not surprised as the other companies I had also called had said the same thing. With the upcoming holiday weekend and summer heat it was understandable that they were busy. I commented on the heat and then the woman on the phone offered to get a tech out to me that night but said it would be after 5pm and would cost the "time and a half after hours" rate. It was hot in the house so I agreed. I stayed home the rest of the day to make sure I would be there whenever the tech arrived or to answer the phone. Unfortunately, a tech never arrived. We were frustrated that no one ever showed up to the house or called to tell us why they couldn't make it. We ended up scheduling the work to be done by a different company for a later date. I do plan to use this company in future because we have been very satisfied with their prior service but we were definitely disappointed with the no-show this time. Update: (7-17-14) We were contacted by Annette the dispatcher and she apologized for the mistake. She was very sorry and offered us a discount on a future repair visit. We are very happy with their response and will definitely use them again and recommend them to friends. We upgraded our ratings based on their customer service and response to our review.

At the end of the day, the A/C unit is working. Didn't seem to care that a metal casing directly on a stained concrete floor can scratch the floor. Initially put the wheel in backwards, I had to catch it after putting most of the screws back in. Shaved some of the wire insulation off when putting it back in, lucky that it didn't cut the wire. Spent 45 minutes driving to the distributor to pick up the part, all on the clock of course. Seems a bit ridiculous at $89 an hour for courier service. Also went ahead and charged me an extra 15 minutes to balance out the 10% Angie's list coupon that I had (Showed up at 1:00, left at 2:55, charged me 2.25 hours).

The plumbers were courteous and thorough in their inspection. The dishwasher plumbing installation went fine, except the plumbers left a metal knockout in the garbage disposer, which I was able to remove myself fairly easily. I also got a bid on an electrical circuit installation through this company; the bid seemed high and arrived late, so I chose another company that specializes in electrical work.

Adrian was on time, pleasant, and professional. He diagnosed the problem quickly and efficiently. Showed me how he could tell from a rusted bolt that the toilet was leaking underneath. After he fixed my immediate problem with the leak into the garage, and left, I noticed that my other 2 toilets had rusted bolts, and made an appointment for him to return, It was a good thing I did, or I would have had the other upstairs toilet eventually leak into my kitchen! Adrian showed me how the toilets were improperly installed by the builder, leaving grout and DUCT TAPE where the wax ring was to create a seal. This of course, led to a leak on all the toilets, which would have eventually have caused a huge problem. I was very happy with the service provided, and if I have any more problems in the future I would ask for him again.
Description of Work: Had a leak into the garage from upstairs bathroom. Replaced flange and wax seal on toilet which was leaking into the garage. Replaced flange and wax ring on 2nd toilet, and wax ring only on 3rd toilet.

Excellent. Showed up on time and spent 8 hours installing furnace and air conditioner. Gabe, who oversaw the project and was in solid communication with me prior to the job, did an excellent job. As i requested he customized the ability of my evaporative cooler to interface with my air conditioner so no special steps had to be taken to switch between them.
