Albuquerque Discount Movers

I found ABQ Discount Movers on Angie's list, based on the excellent reviews. It was a great experience from the first phone call to the final unloading and payment. Tina was courteous and informative on our first call. We moved one house and a storage locker to another house, all in town. We decided on three movers because of the amount of goods we had to transfer. The date was set, and a time was set for mid-day. The day before our move, Tina called to ask if early morning would work better for us, and we said yes. She said the men (and truck) would arrive between 8 and 8:30 am, and they did. The truck was clean, and the men were uniformed, and very presentable. They got right to work, and hardly stopped all day. We bought them lunch (our idea) and they paused only briefly. The men took apart beds and other things that needed dismantling and moved all boxes with hand trucks. The house filled up the truck, which was off-loaded and placed without incident. They went to the storage locker, loaded the truck and returned to the new house. The charges were exactly as quoted - a per hour charge, plus a half hour travel, $15 gasoline charge and $30 for our piano. We would highly recommend Albuquerque Discount Movers.

They were fantastic. I used them four times at different times because I wasn’t ready to go as I wanted big things cleared out first and then I was able to keep on going. I needed three guys first time around because I had some wardrobe moved. I actually had a pop out of my hinges in the front door and it was brilliantly done. They also pointed out that they could eventually break half of my neighbor’s tree if they moved the truck into the driveway. So they figured out an alternate way of how to get things out through the side door and we had to wrap down the driveway to leave our neighbor’s to move their car so that in that way they could stop parking in my driveway and not hindering the tree. They were very proactive and kept everything nice in the neighborhood. They didn’t hurt the tree. Second time they had to work three different ways to move out a big block table out of the very narrow 1940’s kitchen door. On the third go, on the different angle he got it out and didn’t have to take the table apart. They really knew what they were doing. I was moving things from my friend’s house into my new pace and also my old house into my new place. I had stuff in the storage locker and I had dealt eighteen years with the stuff. It had all multiple heavy wood furniture’s.

Our experience with this company was great. Rob and Jeremiah were super professional, kind, and hard working. They were very careful with our belongings and were a pleasure to work. They really cared about doing a great job for us and I'd definitely recommend them to friends and use them in the future.

Everyone I encountered over the phone and in person was great. When I scheduled the move, Tina let me know that they had a big move before mine and may run a little late. I said that was fine as long as they communicated with me that day, which they did. We had scheduled a window between 2-5 and Tina began calling me at noon with status updates. It ended up being closer to 6 when the movers arrived but I didn't mind because I was kept in the loop. They even gave me a 3rd guy with no extra charge. The guys were great...professional, careful, respectful of my stuff. All was said and done in less than 2 hours which was excellent considering a 30 minute drive was involved.

The movers were clean, professional and hard-working. They charge by the hour, but they worked virtually non-stop. My furniture was treated with care and everything arrived in great shape. I have a very large desk that would not fit through the door in my new house. I was about to rip out the door frame, when Joe stopped me, asked for a couple tools and removed the trim from the door jam in one piece without disturbing the paint job. "This is how I would do it, if it were my home," he said. That's how he treated the entire job. Highly recommended.

They were prompt, 8:30 am and finished about 1 pm or so. Don't recall now. Very professional and careful of the furniture and boxes being moved. Near the end of the hours, they slowed down and were engaged more talk at times. This could be because it was pretty hot that day, and there were two of them. Giving them cold water bottles helped them, I think. I would use this company again. Rates were reasonable and the interaction with the office and the people helping were good.

They were fast and moved everything into the storage, carefully. They did a good job and were fairly priced. I like their services and will use the same in future,

The receptionist was friendly and very helpful on the phone. They were very flexible about scheduling. When the company arrived, they were on time and went right to work. They finished in less time than we had booked, which was wonderful. We were very pleased.

They were so helpful, prompt, and let us know when to expect them. We had contacted them rather last minute (sanity returned and we decided to not try to unload the van ourselves) and they worked us into their schedule. The movers were courteous, patient, fast, and careful. I would definitely use them again, but being that I refuse to ever move again, I will instead just highly recommend them to others. They are great and deserve the high ratings!

They arrived very promptly, worked hard, were pleasant and courteous throughout, and did far more than we would have thought possible in the time we had. Good folks, good workers. About as good as it gets, and we plan to ask for their help again for our next major spring cleaning.

I called and got an answer on my first call and was scheduled shortly thereafter. The movers met me at a home and carefully loaded what I requested in a short time. They then discussed the second pickup and an obstacle that I wasn't aware of and I'm glad that they were. No trucks are allowed on the street that my apartment was on. They figured out how to get there and picked up the second load expertly. The delivery was quick and professional and they took a debit card on the spot. Excellent

They were very communicative, honest, and arrived when scheduled. Also, the workers were very professional.

We were cautious when looking for an honest moving company. Angies List provided many excellent reviews for this moving company. I phoned Tina and she was very pleasant and professional in scheduling as well as providing an estimate of the cost for the move. The movers documented their time upon arrival and worked quickly and effeciently from start to finish. The total bill was true to the original estimate with no surprises. We were very pleased.

I was amazed how Arnold, the team lead, could fit all my 'stuff' into only two units! The support staff, Joseph and Jeremy, were amazing as well--fast, efficient, and again most friendly and courteous. They all turned my whole unsavory task--going through years of junk, packing and loading the unit, into something most doable.

Received telephone quote for 2 individuals, truck, per hour. They arrived on-time and worked efficiently and had everything moved and unloaded 2 hours later. Will definately use them again.

Excellent job. They were on time, moved everything quickly, were very careful, didn't break anything. And they were professional (even happy) throughout the job. Would definitely use them again.

They estimated 3 days for packing and moving and they were right. Everything went very well, no breakage, and nothing unexpected. Very helpful and willing to move items to a different room if needed. They were very professional and overall did an excellent job. My wife felt very confortable working with them.

We've moved a lot and this was the best truck loading we've ever experienced. Nothing had moved or shifted at all on the other end when we unloaded. It was amazing. The guys were so nice and pleasant, never once complaining about how much work there was to do, like most movers we've had experience with. They seemed sensitive to the fact that were paying by the hour and worked really hard and fast and knew when to slow down and take extra care. We have a second load to move and will definitely be using them again. Tina was great about making sure they had the equipment needed and called a couple days in advance to confirm.

They are amazing. I called them to do a partial move to prepare my Mom for the final move. Their employees are courteous, respectful, trustworthy, and take great care while moving all the pieces. I have an antique curio cabinet from the 1800's with curved glass. I was very concerned that they be very careful with that particular piece. I worried needlessly. They are so professional and know how to handle any situation that comes up. This is the second time I use them. I initially used them when I first moved to Albuquerque 4 years ago. I also used them for the final move and again I was not disappointed. I will definitely use them again if I ever need to and always refer family and friends to use them when needed.

After a nightmare of a move just 3 months before this move, I was very happy with Joe and his crew. It was so much better than could be expected, and I certainly appreciate their professionalism and thoughtfulness. Even though the total cost was higher than the estimate, it was because of unforeseen time, that could not have been predicted, and I considered it appropriate, and understood.

Went great. Took 6 hours total from start to finish at both places. The 2 movers were very friendly and professional. I got some other quotes before settling on this vendor and they were all much much higher. I got a quote from Belkin's for this same move for over 1000 dollars. So this was a huge savings. I would definitely use this company again.

The estimate was $700, and the final price was $700. I have used a few other moving companies who quoted me one price, and then charged me another when it was all said and done. There were no surprises with Albuquerque. They didn't damage any of my belongings. They even set up some of our appliances and took the time to put our Sleep Number Bed back together. They were respectful of our property and to us as well.
