I called to arrange my move, Tina picked up the phone. She provided me a quote and we reserved the date. Later, I had to change the time from morning to afternoon, which Tina handled perfectly. The day before the move, Tina touch base with me and said they would call before they arrived. I asked if they could show up a little earlier and she said she would do what they could. On the day of the move, Tina called and knowing that I wanted an earlier time, she confirmed that they could be there early....GREAT!. The movers showed up at my apartment and immediately went to work. There were two of them and they took extra care of packing our furniture into their truck. They quickly performed the loading and they knew exactly where I was moving to. (A side note, I had to pick up my wife from work while they were at my apartment. I felt perfectly comfortable leaving them there while I picked her up.) They arrived at my new place on time and proceeded to place my furniture in the proper places. The movers were very professional and polite. They did not goof off and finished before the time quoted. (They work by the hour and came in under quote!). I paid with a visa card and they were off. Total painless experience. I will use them again for sure. In fact, yesterday my wife and I watched as a neighbor was packing his rental truck with furniture for a local move. As they were struggling, we both made a comment that our move with the use of Albuquerque Discount Movers was the best $300 dollars we spent in a long time. Total value for our money.

Overall, the move went really well. The movers only had two days notice and they managed to fit us in on short notice. The two young men were several hours late to start, but they were delayed by their morning appointment and they communicated their delay well. Once they started the move, they worked quickly but carefully and the job was done by early evening. We were very satisfied with the work done, the care taken, the energetic pace, and the reasonable charge.

Joseph came a week early to assess some of our bigger pieces that had to fit in an elevator. On moving day one piece did not fit, and the movers carried it up eight flights of stairs without a grumble! They were punctual and cheerful and careful with fragile items. They misplaced some fasteners for a desk on the day of the move but brought them to us a week or so later. I considered that return above and beyond. (Things get lost during moves.) All in all it was a good experience, and I would hire them again if I ever move.

I truly enjoyed this moving experience, thanks to Albuquerque Discount Movers. I highly recommend this service -- if we had rented a truck on our own and pressed all our friends into helping us move we would have ended up paying more! Albuquerque Discount Movers were prompt, professional and courteous. Our belongings were moved with no damage at all, and in a very timely manner -- they charge by the hour, but their movers worked quickly and efficiently so that the entire move happened in two hours. We did our part by having everything packed and ready to go when they arrived. They were very accommodating; our move was originally scheduled for 11/30/12 but we were able to get into our new place a day earlier, and they were able to change the move date. They were very good at staying in touch during the planning process, and returned calls in a timely manner.

We called three companies for quotes and chose Albuquerque Discount Movers based on their price (very competitive) and their positive reviews. The staff was friendly and easy to deal with. The scheduling was easy. They showed up almost exactly on time (about 10 minutes after they were supposed to get there). They worked hard and did not take many breaks or have excessive chatting amongst themselves. They were kind to my young children. They charged exactly what they said they would based on the hourly rate and the credit card transaction was easy. I would hire them again if I needed to move again and I would recommend them to others.

Tina, yes the same person that everyone raves about, understood my needs and just made it happen. I called early in the morning and by that afternoon a truck was there with two people to finish the job. It took a little longer than I thought it would but then I didn't give them a chance to give me an estimate. Their help was greatly appreciated and conducted with kindness and courtesy.

I purchased a bedroom suite from a garage sale and needed it picked up and brought to my home. They also had to move my old set into another room and then bring in the new one. They were so careful and did everything exactly as I asked. They were very friendly and professional and took great care not to hit any walls as they moved the pieces. The charges were very fair. I really appreciate the fact that they were willing to do the work within a couple of hours after I called.

It went well. I made a reservation for the move about 7-8 days beforehand- they were able to squeeze it in even though it was the end of the month. Tina asked me about the move- how far, how many rooms, what type of furniture, appliances, were there stairs, etc. Explained that I would have to empty dresser drawers. I was given a window of time when the crew would arrive. I wasn't quite finished packing and got the last few boxes done while they were moving things. Things were unloaded and placed in the appropriate room. The whole move took about 2 hours. The guys were efficient and polite.

The move went great. There was no damage to any of the items. They arrived on time. The kitchen was packed efficiently and there was nothing broken when I unpacked. They do not do a fixed price - they charge by the hour but the move was within 15 minutes of the estimated completion so no surprises on the price. They were able to get the van down my narrow, steep driveway. From the time I called to the end of the move they were responsive and helpful. I would for sure use them again.

First, they came over and gave us an estimate and we set a date. They arrived at the agreed time. They were flexible with our request to stop at our storage locker and get more stuff. They made 2 trips with the truck to our new home 5 miles away. they were polite, very fast and got down to business right away. They commented that we had prepared well (we packed everything in boxes and everything was totally ready to go when they arrived). They took apart 3 beds and reassembled them at our new home. One of the beds was a sleep number bed which we had forgotten how to set up but they did it with no problem. They also moved our large furniture including sofas, large dining room table and 2 very large bookcases. They started at 8am and they were done by 3:30 pm.

Everyone was so nice from Tina in the office to the guys who did the work. They came out on the precise days I needed them, completed the work quickly and there were no scratches,dents or complaints. I definitely would hire them again.

Due to an overseas move, we needed to put a household into a storage unit and knew we couldn't do the 'heavy' lifting ourselves any longer. I checked reviews on Angies list and made a few calls. Once I spoke to Tina, I knew I would go with Alb Movers; she was very professional and listened to what our needs were and then explained in detail what they could do to help and what their costs were. No pressure, no hidden fees or surprises whatsoever. We had estimated that the job would take about 4 hours and set an afternoon appointment time for the movers to come. It ended up taking over 6 hours and the movers did a great job and stayed with it until everything was completed and to our satisfaction. Can't tell you how much we appreciated their wonderful attitudes and kindness. Moving is always stressful and hiring them took a lot of the stress out of this process and was worth every penny. I recommend them to anyone in need of professional moving services and will use them again! Thank you!

At times I had 4 men working and other times 2 or 3 men. It took 2 days of non-stop working. All of them worked very quickly with almost no breaks. They were very kind to me and didn't let me lift anything. They also moved everything where I asked for it and even put the beds together for me. I had a place to sleep that very night. All of the men were thoughtful and very pleasant personalities. They were also cost effective and helped me plan accordingly to save as much money as possible. I thought they were excellent. They were professional, efficient and did a great job of protecting the furniture. They were very quick and got one house completely loaded up and moved 35 miles away; then unpacked in 6 hours, so I was very impressed. It was money well spent and it saved my husband's back. I will use them again in the future.

Albuquerque Discount Movers did an excellent job. To summarize their performance: professional. They arrived on time and completed the move in less time (by a good margin!) than they had estimated. They worked diligently during the move and didn't mind our young son getting in the way every now and then. The price was excellent.

From the time I first called to ask about pricing and scheduling furniture to be moved from and to five different houses in four different locations, I was treated courteously, my questions were answered and I was comfortable knowing that this local company had an A+ rating with the BBB and an A rating with Angie's List. On moving day, the two man crew arrived on time, took care of paperwork, were friendly and professional and hard working. They carefully but quickly moved furniture all around town and my family and friends now have the furniture they need in the right houses. The price was fair and slightly less than what I had been quoted by the office manager/estimator/owner, Ms. Trujillo. I am very pleased to recommend this Albuquerque small business and would be happy to do business with them again.

They arrived right on time, were very well equipped and prepared, and packed up our entire house full of furniture and boxes. They took roughly 5 hours to pack up the trucks, and after driving to our new home, they took about 4 hours to unpack the trucks. They placed all of the furniture where we wanted, and assembled the beds, etc. They were very cheerful, which made the seemingly huge task seem less onerous.

I hired them to pack a pod for a future move. I wasn't disappointed. They showed up on time, were very efficient and the cost was inexpensive. I ran out of room in the POD for all my stuff, but they did a very good packing job, and helped me deliver the additional boxes to another location. I especially liked movers Arnoldo and Robert.

I chose Albquerque Discount Movers based on their great reports on Angie's List. From the beginning, they were easy and professional. Tina, in the office, was very friendly and helpful, and was incredibly flexible in working with our continuously changing closing dates. Because we lived in and were moving to two mountainous, snowy places in February, both with dirt roads/driveways involved, as well as steep driveways, Joe drove out to both houses to check things out. At first he wasn't sure they would be able to get the truck up our first driveway, but was willing to manually haul each piece of furniture down to the truck. Fortunately, on moving day they were able to get the truck all the way up, which saved time and therefore money. Joe's services ended up being $600 less than he quoted me, which was a nice surprise. On moving day, Joe and two others arrived promptly and were courteous and efficient. They had our belongings loaded up in less than three hours, and were very careful with our antiques and leather furniture. At the new house, they took a quick lunch break (off the clock, of course), and then quickly unloaded everything where we wanted it. I think they were finished before 3PM. There was a lot going on and they took it all in stride. The price was reasonable. We would absolutely use them again. They charged $75 an hour.

After hearing about so many really awful experiences that people have had with movers we were not expecting to have such a good experience. Everything went exceptionally well. There were no last minute glitches or problems. Everyone we dealt with, from making the initial contact to completing the job, were friendly, competent and professional. The truck and 2 movers were there at the scheduled time and everything was loaded and unloaded without mishap. We will definitely go with this company again.

Great - very professional, easy to talk to, and the movers were all very wonderful and conscientious. They were also more than willing to use my paper and boxes that I had stored from my previous move. My only complaint, and it is very mild, is that one of the packers was over-the-top with his use of paper and took out things from previously fine storage spots. For example, he took my shoes out of this little easy-to-move shoe storage case and wrapped up each shoe individually in paper and then into a box. It was very unnecessary, though I do appreciate the sentiment as I'm sure he was only trying to be careful. Otherwise, awesome experience.
