Albuquerque Discount Movers

This was the fourth job I have hired them for. Obviously I really like them. they are puctual, careful, professional, and the office staff is like calling family.

We hired this company based on their Angie's List reviews and we're so glad we did! Arnold and Julio (the movers for our job) showed up on time and did a great job of loading up what we wanted. They took great care with our stuff and were very careful not to hit and scratch the front door as they moved stuff out. When they unloaded the furniture at the new house they reassembled the beds and couches and made sure we were happy with where everything was before they left. They also helped us troubleshoot and fix a door on our bookshelf that had fallen off the track. They did a great job and I'll definitely recommend them to anyone I know who's looking for a local moving company.

Everything worked out great. Had never used a mover before, so can't really compare, but I would use them again if I needed to.

They moved most of the contents of 2 households to a single house. They showed up on time, explained what they would do, were very courteous, and kept at it until finished. Did an excellent job. And moved many very heavy, very difficult items exactly where we wanted them. Would definitely use again. And would recommend highly.

They were great! I can't believe how inexpensive they were and they moved everything that I owned much quicker than I expected. I would use them again. Also, nothing got broken or damaged. They were very professional and accommodating.

We had to move our date twice due to the apartment complex not opening on time. The movers were very flexible and worked with us. They showed up on time and moved us very quickly...which was nice since the charge is hourly--they didn't mess around.

They moved my mother into my home. They were very nice and made the move very easy and smooth. I would use them again or refer them to friends.

The job before ours turned out to be a bit bigger than expected so instead of arriving before noon as originally anticipated, it was closer to 3:30pm. Tina was great at keeping us informed of the status. We used the time to begin wrapping our furniture with blankets. By the time they arrived, we had everything truck ready and they wasted no time getting to work. It was a long day for all of us, but the crew remained upbeat and professional throughout the entire job. I would highly recommend them. All of our belongings arrived in one piece due to the great care taken to load and secure things. Terrific work - thank you!!

The estimate was performed by one of the movers himself. He took a long time and kept commenting about how much stuff we had to move ... his estimate price seemed a little bit high but in line with our expectations. WE might have used them, but he did not get back to me with an exact price quote and date when he said he would; and I called and left messages for him for the next few days but no response. We were surprised when he called the following week with a significantly higher price quote than his estimate. We had already decided to go with another mover who was more responsive.

Two men came with the truck on time. I was pleased that it was only 2, not 3 men, as I had been told that the heavy items would require a third man which would have boosted the hourly rate. They loaded the items during a rain storm which made the process a little more difficult. At the other end, the items were unloaded and placed where I requested them in the house. I had two other large, heavy pieces already in the house which I needed moved. They moved them very efficiently and without damage going up an awkward staircase. There was a small amount of damage to one of the pieces that was moved on the truck. They showed me the chipped foot and gave me the two pieces that were easily glued back in place. I appreciated their honestly which enabled me to restore the piece. Overall, I would highly recommend the company.

It went great! They were right on time and they never stopped moving. They were very careful with my stuff and they are very service minded. I had Joe and Joe, and they had to work all day and into the evening and they had a great attitude the whole time. I would absolutely use them again and I would recommend to anyone.

The move itself went fine. The men worked quickly and were careful with the furniture. My complaint is with the pricing. The same move was made six months ago (from house to apartment) and cost $257.00. The move from apartment to house (same furniture, same distance) cost $334. That's a 30% increase in just six months. There also was an issue with accepting a check to pay for services. I paid by check the first time with no problems. The second time the movers had to call the office to get permission to accept a check.

Fantastic. This was a perfect move. They were very careful with my belongings and everything arrived intact. They were prompt, professional, and very nice. I don't hope to move again soon, but if I did I would call them again.

They were very flexible as far as scheduling. They arrived on time and loaded their truck. We were moving some very large pieces of furniture. They unloaded everything at the storage unit and set the unit up per my requested locations of the pieces. Arnold and Carlos, the two movers did an excellent job.

he two men from Albuquerque Discount Movers, Joe and Joe, were incredible. They worked quickly and very carefully. I was amazed at how much work they were able to complete in a single day. I cannot say enough good things about their work.

They came as promised to help us move from our two bedroom apartment to a home in town. Both of the men who came were uniformed with a company truck. They were very professional and worked very hard. They were able to move everything in 3.5 hours total. We will definitely use them again.

The two movers arrived on time and worked diligently to move our home furniture and boxes for 6 hours.

This has been a perfect experience. Most importantly, Joseph (boss), Joseph M., Dominic, & Tina are professional, polite, effective, & diligent. These individuals are highly competent communicators which, allowed each one to perform their responsibilities as required. Their teamwork & abilities resulted in our furniture being moved totally scratch free. They gave me such a high level of confidence about their skills that I was at ease during the entire move. The method used to calculate time required for the move is 100 per cent accurate. We both agreed on start time & finish time. We will definitely hire Albuquerque Discount Movers for our next move. Significant final comment regarding Joseph (boss). My experience was one of high personal integrity, conscientiousness, highly skilled leader, & totally responsible for his crew. I know this sounds corny, but this was about one of the best experiences I have ever had with a business that provided me a service. I found this company on Angies List and chose them because they seemed inexpensive and rated well. Three guys came, instead of the two that I was expecting, so that was good. I had planned on helping in order to get the job done faster and save money, but with three guys, that wan't necessary. They were much faster than I expected. Maybe it was because I told them I chose them based on their Angies List rating, or maybe it was because I tipped each of them $20 mid-way through the move, but they were very fast and very friendly. I wish I could remember their names so that I could mention them by name, but I'm bad with names. I don't think it matters anyways because it seems like the main office runs a tight ship and tries to fit in as many jobs in one day as possible, which works for me because I was afraid they were going to take a long time and charge me more money than they did. As quickly as they moved our stuff, they were more gentle with my belongings and my newly painted walls (we moved from the apartment into a home we purchased) than I am. The best part was we had a treadmill that my wife wanted moved into the bedroom, but it would not fit. I told them not to sweat it, but my wife had a bit of OCD and did not want the treadmill in our living room. Despite rules that probably prohibit them from doing this (I hope this doesn't get them into trouble, but their bosses should recognize that these guys are awesome and the reason their business is successful), but these guys decided to quickly take apart (partially) the treadmill and reassemble it on my spare room. Now, I know they did NOT have to do that, but they were bound and determined to make my wife happy and get that thing in there. God bless them for making my wife happy, because a happy wife is a happy life. Anyhow, I will never move my own things again. Having professional movers move your things is move of a self-indulging luxury than a day at the spa. I will eat beans for a month next time if that is what it takes to afford the $500 plus needed to pay for movers. And like the loyal customer I am, I'll call these same guys again.

I've moved about 10 times in the last 10 years -- cross-country as well as locally -- and this was one of the smoothest moves I've ever experienced. Tina, the office manager, was responsive, helpful, and friendly. Joseph provided an on-site estimate and then was one of the two movers who actually transported my belongings. He and his colleague Julio were professional, careful, and FAST! Joseph had estimated that the move would take 7 to 8 hours, but because of his and his partner's speed and professionalism, the move took only 6 hours. All of my items were carefully and quickly loaded, transported, and unloaded. I've never had such a problem-free move. Well done, ABQ Discount Movers!

Everything went very well. Julio and his partner arrived early, were very polite, professional and efficient. All the items were packed well and nothing was scratched or broken. I wish we would have used them for our big move ten months earlier. We used another company and it was awful (rhymes with Mo's). If you are moving in the Albuquerque area I highly recommend Albuquerque Discount Movers.

They did a great job. It was 5 hours of moving and they did it quickly. I think they are responsible and made sure that my things were taken care of. The glass on the front of my hutch was broken in the process, but the measured it right then and they have already replaced it. I like them.
