The project went along well and the final outcome is excellent and exceeds our expectations. In addition to the work that Scott and ACC did for the success of the project, Scott helped us tremendously to guide us through the project. He was an enormous source of information; giving us the name of a company to use for installation of tile and granite (Trussell's Transformation), meeting with us and the electrician prior to the job started to make sure the under-mount lighting was in the exact location for cabinetry, guiding us as home-owners through the process of remodelling. The specific work done by ACC of the cherry cabinetry with under-mount lighting is beautiful and did transform the look of our kitchen from out-dated 90's to a modern and beautiful kitchen. We chose cherry wood cabinets and stain, but, any wood, stain or painted combination is available. Also is available, all the new cabinet layouts including trash receptacle, tray cabinet, drawers for pots/pans, lazy susan, and the list goes on. ACC also has available with their cabinet companies the soft close hinges which are very nice to prevent wear and tear with your cabinets. Working with all members of ACC including the installers was a professional and good experience. Scott Tregembo worked hard to make sure that the kitchen remodel went smoothly and to our specifications. We would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing kitchen remodeling and would definitely use them again if needed. Thank you to Scott Tregembo and his wonderful staff for your good work. Thank you to Scott for his detailed plans of our kitchen remodel.
Description of Work: We had our kitchen remodeled. We bought our home in 1993 so it had the styles, construction, and obvious wear from that time. The owner, Scott Tregembo, met with us personally at least on six occasions; and he was available to give professional opinion by email or phone. The work that was done on our home that ACC did for us: measuring our kitchen for the new & desired changes, same day schematic drawing of the layout of kitchen with new cabinetry emailed to us, consultation on the look of the final project with the florescent light box removed with new lighting, under-mount lighting with the cabinetry, the custom cherry cabinets that was purchased through ACC, the excellent work in installing cabinetry and hardware to cabinets, final inspection by owner, Scott Tregembo.

They had minor issue with the service because I had to redo my order because someone left the company but they tried to pull it together. The rest of it was okay.

Jeff and his crew were fantastic. We had originally received a quote from another company to just replace the doors/hardware and veneer on our existing cabinets. That quote was $18K and we were told by the salesman from the other company that if we wanted to replace the cabinets it would cost at least $35K. Just to be sure we called Jeff and had him give us a quote. Not only was his price competitive but we were able to move cabinets around, add pullouts and under cabinet lighting - all for the same price as the other company had quoted for just doors. When it came to design Jeff had the patience of a saint. We went through so many different options and each time Jeff happily made the changes and made recommendations so that everything would flow smoothly. The demo and installation was as expected - loud and dusty. The crew was great. They always arrived on time, were very courteous and cleaned up each night. Jeff came by most days at some point to make sure everything was going as planned. He noticed some very small imperfections and ordered replacement parts which were installed later. I really appreciated this - I did not notice the imperfections, but some day probably would have. We went from a 80's style semi functional kitchen to a beautiful kitchen that has a place for everything. We really could not be happier.
Description of Work: Removed old kitchen counter tops and cabinets, replaced cabinets.

Scott and his staff did an excellent job on my kitchen cabinet last year. Even though this was a small job Scott worked with me the same on this job and walked me through the design. When the vanity arrived they worked my tight schedule arrived on time and did the work very quickly. Before the installation was done they allowed me to add a shelf and made additional recommendation and did a excellentjob of trimming out the cabinet. They know how to do cabinets and do prefessional installation. When the mirror frame did not work well with my textured wall they would not leave a ok installation that looked ok to me but took the mirror to their shop and reworked the frame and had it reinstalled on the date that was promised being done before my company arrived. My next cabinet and vanity will hopefully come from them ACB is a great company to work with. They keep their word and honors their commitments.

Description of Work: Alb. Cabinet Brokers (ACB) was hired to replace our kitchen countertop. We chose the laminate we wanted. When it was taking a long time to get a quote on the job, we were told ACB wasn't getting a response from the laminate company. I emailed them and got a quote right away and provided ACB with the amount. We were told ACB could only form the corner of our countertop in a certain way b/c the laminate only came in 4' x 8' pieces. We agreed to this design. On the day it was to be created, we were called and told it couldn't be done that way either. I went online to the laminate company's website and found that they did in fact sell 4' x 10' pieces on special order. It seems I was doing a lot of the leg work for ACB. Now we had 2 4' x 8' pieces, though. We used one of those to redo my in-laws kitchen countertop. The installers came late. One was called away on an emergency, so my husband and the other installer installed the countertop together. My husband wasn't paid for his labor. The installer forgot to bring caulking. He came back the next day with it but it wasn't for bath and kitchen. The countertop was sloping downward. It was not level. We called ACB about this and they said our cabinets must not be level and they were not responsible for that. It turned out it was the countertop that was uneven. Even had it not been and it had been our cabinet, you'd think any countertop installer who took pride in his work would shim the countertop to make it level. Not walk away and consider their work done when the countertop they just installed is sloping. They also did not attach the countertop to the cabinets. The laminate was cracked on the end and broken at the top of the backsplash. The excess laminate on the backsplash was not trimmed, causing the entire countertop to shift forward enough to throw off how the plumbing was to reconnect. They installed quarter-round to cover up the broken laminate on the backsplash. They did such a poor job at my in-laws house, which was a straight forward installation, that we fired them from doing the countertop at our house. They still charged us for a large portion of their "work" when we fired them. They marked up the cost of the laminate and charged us just about double what it actually cost. I found out the cost. The wrong size was ordered b/c they didn't do enough research initially to find out that the company sold 4' x 10' pieces. My husband did more than half the labor on the installation of the countertop at his parents place. They hardly gave us a break at all on pricing even with all of these problems. I would not recommend them to anyone. We began dealing with them in October 2013, I think it was. It is now May 2014 and our kitchen countertop is to be completed in the next week. Because of how poorly they managed our request, it has taken this long to complete the job. If we had ordered the 4' x 8' sheet and the 4' x 10' sheet on special order in November instead of two 4' x 8' sheets back then, things would have moved much more quickly. Instead, the 4' x 10' sheet got ordered much later and took 8 to 10 weeks to come. It's just been a nightmare. I'm sorry, but I have nothing good to say about Albuquerque Cabinet Brokers. |

Response from Albuquerque Cabinets Brokers
Unfortunately, this is a difficult lesson for Albuquerque Cabinet Brokers, to stick with what we do well and to not deviate from our path of excellence. In this Particular case we were working with a laminate product that we had never used before which was provided by the customer. Much of the time delay was caused by the laminate dealer that the customer had chosen and there were clearly some disconnects on the part of ACB. Had we used one of our typical laminate dealers and our own "in house" fabricator, the entire process from beginning to end would have taken approximately 2 to 4 weeks to complete. We sincerely regret that Ms. [member name removed] had an unpleasant experience. Additionally, Albuquerque Cabinet Brokers did give Ms. [member name removed] a significant break on the price. The original contract was for $956.00, ACB credited Ms. [member name removed] $416.45 leaving only $539.55, which was the cost of the materials only.

Scott walked us through every aspect of the kitchen cabinet design. He made several trips to our home to make measurements and recommend complete kitchen rework giving numerous suggestions that went far beyond the cabinet design. He also recommended counter top and backsplash companies. Scott recommended the best cabinet manufacture and one that would allow best cabinet space to get the best fit for our kitchen and lifestyle. Once we decided on the style cabinets he recommended visiting a kitchen in a new home build to see the quality, style color of the cabinets we were interested in. We went through several redesigned until my wife and I decided on a final layout. Each step of the process Scott gave us 2 and 3D drawing of the design. Scott also gave us several cost option and cabinet accessories options until we got just what we wanted and a design we could afford. When the cabinets were being built ACB kept us informed. When our cabinets arrived Scott and ACB scheduled the installation and also kept the countertop provider informed on schedule to make the process a pleasant and rewarding experience. The cabinet installation was done by ACB personnel and was done very professionally. The installer attention to details were outstanding. They work very hard and finished the delivery and complete installation in one long day. ACB worked we us to allow the cabinets to fit over existing tile floor thus saving cost of installing a new floor. When here were slight issues with drawer slides ACB made the corrections. ACB stand behind their product, installation and fulfilled all their comments both written and verbal. Albuquerque Cabinet Brokers is an excellent choice for doing cabinets or a completed kitchen rework.
Description of Work: Provided design, fabrication and installation of kitchen cabinets for complete rework of our home. Scott lead through each step of the design. After visiting our home Scott suggested improved layout best cabinet manufacturer for our need and walked us through each step of the process.

We met with Scott and with Danny Trussell from Trussell's transformation to discuss a remodel of our kitchen. We wanted a contemporary style kitchen with more storage etc. Scott was the one that did the drawings of the kitchen design. Scott sent us the drawings within a couple of days. It was very close to what we wanted. Every time we had any type of change with the design, Scott came back sometimes within hours with the new design. He helped so much in how the flow of the kitchen would work best. He had so many great ideas that we implemented and are so happy we did. He is an expert. Scott and Danny worked together the entire time to work with the scheduling of all the remodel. The showroom at ACB was amazing. Too many choices, but after much discussion with Scott, we came up with the perfect wood and color and price. Another company quoted us twice the price with half the design. When the crew came in to install the cabinets, they were on time and very pleasant to work with. The kitchen is now completed and so beautiful we can't believe it. We would definitely work with ACB again and with Scott. What a professional and likable person.
