+ -1 moreMike the lead tech, and Noel his helper did an excellent job. They were on time, cordial and did the work well. They built a new sleeve for under the cooler and then Mike custom made (off site) the cover and returned the next day to make sure it fit. We are happy with the choice of the Master Cool unit, and it is much quieter and cooler than the former unit. It is built much better and sturdier than other units we considered.
Description of Work: Took out old rusted piece of junk evaporative cooler and replaced it with a new MASTER COOL evap. cooler.

Description of Work: AirPro came out to shut down my swamp cooler and start up my furnace. The cost included spring start up services as well as current services. After having a different company doing this service for the past several years, I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service I received from AirPro. I realize now that the previous company was not doing a thorough job. He was courteous and helped me problem solve a few issues relating to my roof and the swamp cooler. I was very glad that I made the switch to AirPro.

+ -1 moreAir Pro was extremely professional from start to finish. There was an initial meeting with Josh to discuss the qualities of various types of furnace/air conditioner units. He answered questions and provided technical details. He provided an honest assessment about the pros and cons of fixing the old unit verses buying a new one. The installation of the new unit was very professional. A crane was brought to remove the old unit and position the new one in place. This transpired flawlessly. Prior to hooking up the unit, the entrance to the ductwork was thoroughly cleaned. The external duct work for the old unit was not a standard size consequently we couldn't use disposable filters which was inconvenient. The Air Pro technician constructed custom made new ductwork, connecting the unit to the house, with a channel for sliding standard sized filters in and out. He finished this off with an easy to open sliding door. Little things like this demonstrated pride in the work being done. The new thermostat was installed and the technician spent time providing instructions Overall the work was performed professionally, questions were welcomed, and when they left everything was clean as if they had never been there.
Description of Work: Air Pro removed the old furnace/air conditioner unit and replaced it with a new unit. The new furnace/air conditioner unit was hooked up to the house's ventilation system via custom-made duct work. A new thermostat was installed, and a box of furnace filters were provided along with a one-year complimentary maintenance contract.

They worked quickly and efficiently replacing the old furnace with the new including new duct work for the new furnace. We were pleased with their work. They were neat and cleaned up the area as they went. They finished the work in the two days they said it would take. The crew was hard working, and pleasant and very professional.
Description of Work: We converted to refrigerated air and heating. We were told the job would take two days to complete.They began by taking out the old furnace and the swamp cooler and replaced it with a new furnace and air conditioner.

+ -1 moreBoth of the Air Pro service agents we met were notably professional, polite, and capable. The agent that carried out the seasonal maintenance arrived on time and promptly started to work. He answered my questions without pushing for additional services for his company, which made me feel that the company is more interested in a longterm relationship than a quick sale. The repairman who added refrigerant on a subsequent call was very knowledgeable about this unit and we discussed options for converting to natural gas and upgrading both the heating and cooling system. No pressure, just good advice. We will undoubtedly call Air Pro again when we are ready to upgrade the system. A final note - both repairmen were very clean, well spoken, and knowledgeable. They reflected well on the company.
Description of Work: Took advantage of Angie's Special to have a service call. Air Pro service person was very polite, on time, and promptly got to work. The heat pump/AC unit had not received seasonal service for several years and I had noted drop off in cooling effectiveness. Service person noted refrigerant was low so we set an appointment for recharge. Again, repairman arrived on time and carried out the service. H

+ -1 moreThe technician came out and was fairly courteous. Advised me that my brand new swamp cooler pads needed to be cleaned. He did not offer to do the work for a fee. He did not seem interested in any way shape or form to complete the service. He made a remark about me having the coupon and then he left. I was very disappointed in the service, or lack there of. I will never be using this company in the future, and I will now begin the search to find a reputable company.

The representative was very polite and professional. My home is for sale so I had to fax the estimate to my Real Estate Agent. Unfortunately, I found out later that the estimate was for a smaller unit than what my home requires.

+ -1 moreThe technician called about 15 minutes before the appointment to ask if it would be a problem if he was about 15 minutes so that he could stop and pick up something needed for a job. This was no problem - I appreciated the call. He arrived about 5 minutes after the appointed time. We talked about the service, he went on the roof to check the compressor there and then checked the heating unit in the house. He cleaned both and explained the condition of both units to me. He tested the temperature and then completed the call.

+ -1 moreThey were really good. They were anxious to make sure that the job got done right. We already paid and a certain clause appeared, they took care of everything without squabbling. They did extra little things that weren't in the original contract that needed to be done. We have recommended them. It took between 3 and 5 days to complete the project.
Description of Work: I used Air Pro Inc. They had to lift the air conditioners on to the roof with a crane. One of the air conditioner units had a problem with it so they had to bring back the crane to put on a new unit. It was quite a job. It cost so much because they knew they had to rent a crane but they didn't know that they had to rent it twice.

Their quality of work was good. They cleaned up after themselves. They told all the permits that I needed. They had an inspector come out. They were good. They came out right away. They came when they said they were going to come. The crew was very professional and knowledgeable. They did what they had to do and they left. I would use them in the future.

When I checked on companies with Angie's list, I was trying to pick up companies that had most reviews and positive reviews. Everything that was said prior was true. They were not only professional, but they picked the time to talk to my wife and I about what's going on with the system. They didn't just basically do what they needed to do and disappear, and leave us with the bill.
Description of Work: Air Pro Inc was checking on my heat because the tower company had incentivized putting boxes on all of the AC units, and I was having some issues with those during the end of May. They did some routine maintenance on my AC unit for home.

+ -1 moreWe interviewed four companies, all top picks from Angies list. All of them submitted bids. Two of the bids planned to use the power orignally used for the dryer for the AC, and two planned to upgrade electrical panel. We decided that the responsible mode was to go with an upgrade in the electrical panel. All of the companies except for one suggested we go with a 5 ton unit. We picked the company that wanted to replace the electrical panel and the higher ton unit. After accepting the bid, we waited 10 days for the work to start. Intstallation was neat and clean and all work was described by workmen in some detail. They were all very willing to interact with us and we felt assured that they had our best interest at heart.
Description of Work: Removed old furnace and evaporative cooler, Installed new furnace and refridgerated Air, Replaced Thermostats for Furnace and evaporative cooler with a thermostat controller for both furnace and A/C. Upgrade of electrical panel to more service. The furnace and AC units were installed the first day, the coolant lines, condensate pump lines and electrial were installed the second day. Since a replacement of the electrical panel requires inspection from the utility company, this was not scheduled until August 26 so the electrical power is temporarily provided through the old power panel for a few days. Add On Electric is providing support for the electrical part of this project.

Their price was a little higher higher than the first company that came out, but I still felt like they were a good company to work with. And they would be able to get to us within the next week. I was told that I would be receiving the estimate that evening, and like the first company, I did not receive it when promised, I received it 4 days later! Because of this, we decided that it was best not to use them. We feel if they can't deliver an estimate when promised, we couldn't be sure what to expect with the actual work.

+ -1 moreCheckup and preventive maintenance on the AC function of a central heat/AC unit. Paid for a bi-annual service contract so the fall service will be free labor.
Description of Work: I have a 6-yr old central heat/AC unit spilt between outdoor condenser and in the crawlspace. It's getting old enough that it needs regular maintenance so I signed up for their twice a year service contract after getting excellent service. Even though I thought it needed freon the technician showed me why there was no sign of leaks and it was delivering adequate cooling and said too much pressure stresses the compressor. He knew a lot more about AC than any of the plumbers who installed it or serviced it so far. The first positive was not using a tap at the back of the house because it had no hose and was covered with insulation left from the winter. Instead of asking me if he could hook up his hose to it because he had to wash off the heat exchanger, he added an extension hose to my front hose and took it around back on his own. No complaints about the narrow space under the house or doing the paperwork on the porch in the sun because he had been in the very dusty crawlspace. Very professional. He thoroughly vacuumed the blower and catch bin. He showed me how he checked the amp draw and it was less than half the max so he could tell the motor is running efficiently. He also said that any leaks of freon would be evident with oil seepage and he didn't want to open the feed valve to connect a pressure gauge because it wastes freon and if it's not broke don't fix it. Final check was the temp difference between air intake and outflow measured inside the house. He said it needed to be at least 20 degrees F colder at output and it was about 25 degrees. I don't want to take a chance on the heat going out this winter so besides the comfort of knowing that the AC is working fine, I know that they'll check out the heat in the fall and if anything goes wrong during the winter i'll get priority after-hours service because of my service contract.

+ -1 moreThe furnace and swamp cooler in my house were well over 20 years old, and badly needed to be replaced. After being blown off twice by another company, AirPro was highly recommended to be by several friends. I checked out the company on their website, as well as here on Angie's List, and made a call. The receptionist was friendly, and made an appointment for someone to come give me an estimate a couple days later. The rep. who showed up was one time, friendly, and very professional. He pointed out several things that would have to be remedied before the furnace could be replaced, which the first company had not (i.e. asbestos removal). Josh sat down and explained all of my options, and the pros and cons of each so that I was completely informed. He promptly emailed me the estimate form he had showed me at my appointment, which included specific parts numbers and the total cost for the install, including tax. I made my install appointment right away! The two work men who showed up were late, but had called to notify me that they would be. The first day they removed the furnace and old duct work, installed the new control unit on the wall, and the new furnace itself, as well as new duct work. The following morning they returned and installed the new swamp cooler and water control lines from the roof to the water faucet on the ground. The foreman who had helped set up my appointment called twice the first day to check in and make sure things were going smoothly, and came by personally the second day to make sure I was happy with everything. Overall, a very professional company.
