Description of Work: Replaced my swamp cooler with refrigerated air using a heat pump. They ran all new ducts throughout my attic. I think it was one of the best investments I have ever made in my house. These guys were great. I hired them for another job to run some gas lines for some fireplaces.

Description of Work: We called Air Pro on Tues June 5th, they told us they'd be there the next day around 10 am, & instead of just giving us an estimate on our swamp cooler - they fixed it within 45 minutes! They couldn't have been more efficient, professional or polite. We took advantage of Angie's List's Big Deal & are immensely happy with Air Pro & Angie's List (our 1st time using both). We feel that Air Pro went beyond their $29 promise for an estimate & can't recommend them more highly. Thank you very much!

Description of Work: I used the services of Air Pro Incorporated the other day for some minor work. They checkout out our air conditioner and changed the filters.

Description of Work: Air Pro came to my house to give me an estimate on converting from a swamp cooler to refrigerated air. I also got estimates from two other companies. I decided not to go with Air Pro for three reasons: 1. The other companies who provided estimates specifically noted that I would not need to convert my electrical service (fuse box) to a higher ampere service, but the Air Pro rep tried to convince me that I needed an upgrade from a 60 amp service to a 200 amp service (which cost approximately $1250). I decided to get an unbiased opinion, and explained the situation to my cousin, an electrician in NY, who agreed that the upgrade would not be necessary. Additionally, since my A/C has been installed (by another contractor), I have had no problems with my electrical service being overburdened. 2. Other contractors who provided estimates recommended a unit with a SEER efficiency rating of 13.5 or 14, and said that higher ratings did not provide much increased efficiency for the additional cost. They pointed out that especially given the size of my house and the furnace I have, the higher efficiencies could not be fully realized. The Air Pro rep did not offer a 14.5 SEER option, and strongly pushed a 16 or 17 SEER. 3. Air Pro’s cost estimate came in at over $9,000, while the next highest estimate was just over $6,000, and the lowest was about $4,800. In short, I have no idea how good Air Pro’s work is. But in my opinion, they tried play off my ignorance to sell me things I didn’t need, and so they did not get my business.
