Our sales representative arrived on time for our appt. took the time to show us all our options and went though the window demonstrations. Measure all the windows twice to ensure he had the correct measurements. The installers completed the job in 3 days as quoted and cleaned up after themselves as the went. The entire job went smoothly with the exception of1 window needing to be reordered. The measurements were off which wasn't caught until day of installation. Over all we were pleased with the product, cost, the company and the results. We highly recommend this company.

The response was quick and good quality. We have had Accent replace all of the windows in our house over a number of years. When they say they have an unconditional guarantee they mean it! They repaired the window without charge even though it was broken during a house break in by a burglar. Their guarantee is definitely above and beyond the normal guaranties you may find elsewhere.

I think they have a great product. Rick was a superb salesman and very polite. I only wish he would have better explained exactly how they finish around the windows on the exterior of the house. FYI, they use something like a 2" vinyl flashing all around the window that they stick on there with lots of silicone caulking. I thought they would re-stucco right up to the window frame. I was disappointed with it at first aesthetically, and Greg (owner) was willing to send a stucco guy to make it the way I wanted. But after consulting with the stucco guy, I think the 2" flashing method is less likely to leak, and it's not too ugly. However, one of the panes of glass had a factory scratch in it that couldn't be fixed. So they sent an older man to swap out that pane a while later. Not only did that pane also have a scratch, but the older guy used the wrong tool to pull out the pane, so he made little chips all around the window frame. So they sent another guy out (Michael?) a third time to replace the window and try to fix the chips. Michael did a great job, but he couldn't fix all the chips because they were in the frame. To fix that they'd have to pull out the entire frame again, and we weren't about to do that because in the meantime I had my entire house exterior painted. And guess what? This third window also had a small, factory scratch! I was tired of this, so I spoke with Greg and he discounted our outstanding balance. I appreciated that, and we called it good. Honestly, I think they're a good company with a great product and great customer service. I just think my window is cursed.

It took about 6 weeks to have our windows and doors made. We were told by Dan that it would take that long when he came out to complete the paperwork. They were completed by the time promised. The work was scheduled the first week of June, two works came out to install all the windows and doors. It took three days for installation which went very well. They were on time each day, laid down covers when they did their work and cleaned up after themselves. The quality of the windows and doors are excellent. The installation was done so well that they don't appear to be replacement windows and doors. There was some touch up patching that had to completed on the inside drywall around the windows, that the workers completed but nothing we didn't expect for a 34 year old home. Within three weeks another worker from Accent came out to do some very minor stucco patching that was expected and part of the installation. We did some touch up painting on the inside and the job was finished Overall it was a excellent experience, the product and installations exceeded my expectations.
Description of Work: Dan came to our home in April to discuss widows and exterior doors with us. We were looking at replacing eight windows, our front door, side garage door and our sliding back door that would have a dog door built into it. Dan had many years of experience and a no pressure approach with us, he focused on the quality of their product and their 100% warranty. The front doors Accent provide are not the most inexpensive but are high quality and very hard to kick in. An important point since two homes on our street were broken into through the front doors. After looking into two other highly rated Angie's list window companies we decided to go with Accent. Even thought they were not the lowest quote, we felt they had a superior product for the money, their level of professionalism, excellent showroom to see the product and get questions answered. Lastly zero percent financing made them the best choice.

Dan came out and was very good at his job. Gave us ideas and a bid. We were going to replace a sliding glass door with extra window with solid glass window. We were also going to put a new door on another wall. After talking to our contractor we went with just a new sliding glass door with an extra window that was going to have to be raised. Dan came out again to measure and sign papers. He sent his official guy who does the final measurement out a few days later. The door and windows were installed on the date they gave us. The installers saw a few scratches on the windows and immediately order new glass to be put in on a future date. We still do not see the scratches. Very good experience with little or no stress.

After months of researching window construction materials, energy standards, glazing options, how to seal windows to the current best-practice standards, we contacted 4 companies for estimates. Estimates ranged from $22-34,000. (We were not able to actualy see the brand of windows in the high bid as there display setting was in transition at the time we were making our decision.) We narrowed our choices to 2 and went back to their showrooms twice to view and manipulate windows and taking photos of the cut-away samples showing how their seals and interior frame engineering design differed on the window and sliding door frames. We selected Accent Southwest Windows and Doors (ASWW&D) based on the following: -The low bid did not offer different glass glazing options. --The interior frame design and seals did not appear as well-designed. In our non-engineering trained logic, the fewer chambers, lighter vinyl interior seemed less durable to us. --the seal to keep the gas between the panes seemed superior --we could order different glass the address the heating/cooling problems of the home --the company didn't penalize us for addressing the ironwork that added labor. (the low bidder would charge extra and another $200 for "bolts" ; we re-used the same ones) and would not come back to reinstall the bars after the stucco was done without additional chares -the sales person was professional, knowledgeable and was patient with us as we worked through the details associated this large order (their average order is 8 windows) --this was a large order and they clearly wanted our business, The company manager agreed to meet with me and the stucco contractor and mutally agree on what process and materials each would perform to seal the windows properly and make sure the warranty would not be in question should a problem develop in the future. --the company offerred thet best selction of payment options and including several credit program options. We did select one no-interest option. Further, the price on the order was not subject to a penalty if we selected a payment option less favorable to Accent SW. --we compared warranties word or word. They cover potenial defects not covered by others. All hardware/seals are covered for life and they don't charge any "trip charges" after a given short period of time (2yrs by other companies, for expample) --We went back to back to the 2 finalist companies and re-examined the sliding glass door. Accent SW's was heavier, slide on the track easier, and in cross-section, had the superior construction and a superior lock mechanism. --I asked for and received a lien-waiver from their supplier (that meant if ASWW&D didn't pay their material suppliers, the supply couldn't put a lien on our property. This is a factor to keep in mind for any big project expenditures.) Once the decision was made, the manger came to take exact measurements for the order and identified problems/challenges posed by all the windows having interior plantation shutters with frames that impacted window size and opening options. Alternatives were presented and we proceeded with the order. We definetly selected the right company. All appointments were kept, on-time, all email/phone messages were responsed to in a timely and professional manner. The install occurred without a hitch. The installers were honest, courteous, professional and we felt comfortable with them in every room in our home. We felt ASWW&D were totally customer-oriented and valued our business.
Description of Work: Contractor removed the security ironwork on 38 windows and sliding door, replaced same, with a standard Low-E glass on north and east windows and another glass on south and west windows which would block the intense sun in our intense, Albuquerque summers. Work included 8 arched windows, converting many previously never open single-hung opening windows to medium and large sized picture windows, replacing one sliding glass door, and agreeing to return after re-stuccoing of home (by another contractor) was completed, and replacing ironwork to the home. As owners, we wanted a quality install, not the fastest install. So, while the company had the ability to send out many installers to complete the install in the shortest amount of time, wevasked that the team of two workers be responsible for completing the entire job. That turned out to be a wise decision. The team they sent coordinated the demolition tasks like a well-oiled machine as well as each worker emphasis this special skill sets as they installed the new window and door. The whole project was completed by them in 40 hours, not including the 6hrs it took to reinstall the ironwork a month later. Company provided the best warrantly of the three companies from which we obtained job-estimates.

As I said before, I was not impressed with their business practice in trying to get a sale. Their product should speak for itself if they are that good.
Description of Work: I did not purchase windows from Accent Southwest Windows but I did get an estimate for all new windows and sliding door in my home. The main reason I did not go with Accent was that the salesperson brought warranties to the appointment that were supposedly from other window companies, saying that Accents warranty was better, etc. However, I thought that if they have to do underhanded things like this to sell their windows I don't want to do business with them. If their windows are as good as they claim, their product/professionalism should speak for itself, they should not have to bad mouth other businesses to try to get a sale. The whole experience put a bad taste in my mouth and I was not impressed.

Selected this company because they seemed to have one of the better window casings, hardware, pricing (not the cheapest nor most expensive), and offered a complete job (trim, stucco fix etc.). The salesman was respectful and professional. This was so not true with Champion and Anderson Co's. These companies took up way too much time and pressured me to sign now! Anderson was all over the map in pricing; and almost 250% higher than all other companies. They really don't have a better product. However, any business is only as good as it's weakest link. The important piece in new windows is the measuring and installation. Accent Southwest Window's measuring was soo far off that in almost every window they used six or more shims to prop the window up, poorly installed the foam such that I had to show them where you could see daylight. They did not seal around the inside of the windows nor putty all the holes. Simply said that they did not have the white putty and the stucco guy would finish this. But, the worst part of the experience was the installer's attitude. Mike had no social skills, was curt and just plain rude...and a terrible installer. Lenney, the other installer should have been the main guy, because he was superior in every way. His work and attitude were the best! The stucco fellow was also ok but really slow. Internal and external company communication needs to improve. I had to call the company to confirm both the installation date and when the stucco guy would come to finish the job. He came a week after the installation after several calls to the company. This should have happened the next day! We ended up sealing all the finish holes and calking the interior because it became clear that this was not the area of expertise of the stucco guy. This was to have been the first half of an install. Needless, to say they did not get the second half nor future referrals because of their measuring and installer. I selected a different company that was absolutely a pleasure to work with from start to finish and I will review them in a different section.

This installation is for a rental property and it started out fine. We used this company years ago at our residence (since sold). I don't remember any problems before. These windows needed the stucco cut about 2 inches around the windows so the new windows would fit snug against the house. I understood that going in. What I didn't understand is that the guy took a power saw and not only cut away the stucco, but the wire mesh, black paper, insulation and even cut through nails. So when I got estimates to get the stucco fixed and flush around the windows it was more than I expected. This company did reimburse me for some of the cost which was a plus. I guess my biggest disappointment was the clean up. These installers had no regard to cleaning up after themselves. Maybe it was because the painters showed up behind them to start their job. They may have gotten the big pieces on the inside, but there was trash left behind the bushes and around the patio. Every room left dust (expected), but when I ran the vacuum cleaner it sounded like I was cleaning up bits of metal. Not only that, but they did not clean any of the windows. I would think they would clean their product to show how good it looks when all is completed. I used another company to installed windows at my present residence and they not only cleaned the windows but painted around the windows. They also put dust covers on furniture and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. So this surprised me when this company didn't clean up after themselves. I would probably recommend them, but tell them about the issues I had. The stucco is unique, but they should know better than to only take away the stucco.

Accent Southwest Windows & Doors was a wise choice for us. We needed new windows and a sliding glass door. We checked out several contractors in the area and were impressed not only with the price (not the lowest) but with the fact that their products are made in the southwest for the southwest climate (all the others were not). The waiting period was longer that I expected, but since the windows were made to order not unreasonable. Installation was started and conpleted per schedule which is always nice. Their sales staff was very helpful and provided complete information about the various options, listened to our concerns and provided direct and honest answere. The installation team did a good job and left the work site clean. When we later had a probelm with one of the windows, their response was quick and the window was replaced. I work in the building management and maintenance field and know when I meet a quality contractor. Accent Southwest Windows & Doors is one of the best in their field in our area.

Everything happened on time as they said it would and was finished as promised. When having a job this big done be sure to ask about any building codes required to bring it up th specs. We could have made a huge mistake without the recommendations they provided.
Description of Work: After getting 4 estimates on new windows and doors we had southwest install 18 windows and 2 doors. The results were better than expected. Our winter heating bills were reduced by one third and the comfort in the house was amazing. the crew who did the installation had to work around many shrubs and trees to gain access. When they were done you could not tell they had been there other than the great looking windows and doors. When getting the estimate we were informed of several code requirements that were nver mentioned by the other company representatives. GREAT JOB

The estimator, John Smith, (not an alias), was very pleasant and professional to deal with. The team who installed the windows took pride in their work. We are very pleased with the windows and the final stucco repair job. It is much quieter inside the house, less street noise. We'll see how it affects our gas bill - too soon to tell. I have recommended Accent Southwest to my friends. This company is not the cheapest and they are not the most expensive. They have an excellent warranty. They are definitely worth it, but I would recommend getting a clear idea up front on how long everything will take, and make sure the stucco repair follow up is scheduled.
Description of Work: They are highly recommended, so they are busy. The estimator came when he said he would. Then it took a couple of weeks to have the tester/measurement person come out and test for lead and double-measure the windows. Then it took five weeks to get the windows delivered. The team who installed the windows got right to work and did a good job - they took off the security bars on the side window and re-installed them, despite the fact that we thought the stucco repair person (a subcontractor) would be there within a few days. There was confusion about the stucco repair included in our contract, so the stucco repair person did not show up for a few weeks. We had a few windows, not a whole house done, so we took a back seat to bigger jobs. (This was also right at Christmas.) He called and let us know when he could and could not come, but finishing the job completely took much longer than we thought it would. He did an excellent job, in the end, and matched our stucco perfectly.

I said most of it above. They came on time, answered my questions, both by phone and in person, promptly. Cleaned their messes and were friendly, yet professional.
Description of Work: Accent SW windows installed 5 windows and 12ft worth of sliding glass doors with windows on the side (all 3ft wide). The company's salesman explained the quality and warranty very clearly. The windows are heavy duty and the warranty is for life, no questions asked. If something fails, they replace them for free, even if you sell your house. The workers arrived on time, were careful in removing the old windows so as not to damage the stucco surrounding them. They cleaned up their messes fairly well (A-). I feel the enormous difference in temperature. The salesman was very considerate to include what discount I had paid for on Angie's list on the "6th" window, which there wasn't one of, but I had to buy the coupons in sets of 2. They are not the cheapest company around, but the quality of their windows is much better than the less expensive companies, esp. in terms of the depth of the frames and closing seal.

Everyone from the company, from our salesman Dan, to the installers, to the crew that did the stucco work, performed their jobs in a very professional manner. They showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves, and were a pleasure to work with. We were advised beforehand that the stucco might not match exactly but would weather in after time. The stucco matches exactly which was a nice surprise. When the crew came to install the windows they explained that the screens had not arrived with the window shipment but they would bring them as soon as they arrived. The screen for the patio door had been delivered but had regular screening and not the pet screening we had requested. They took the door screen back and sent it out to have the pet screening installed. Since we had already switched over the swamp cooler the delay in screens was not an issue since we didn't need to have windows open for the cooler. We're extremely happy with the product and the work done. We were advised it would take 3-4 weeks to get the windows and they were here within 3 weeks. Other than the delay of the screens and the mix-up with the pet screened door our experience was perfect. We would recommend Accent Southwest without reservation. Great job.
Description of Work: After checking several companies for their product, price and warranties we decided to contract with Accent Southwest to replace all of the windows and the patio sliding glass door in our home. We chose the vinyl frame, double glazed, single hung windows and patio door. We also included additional stucco work that would be needed once installation was completed.
