Never fixed ice maker. Called warranty service. They scheduled him to come out a 2nd time. He never showed, or called. Called Home Warranty and told them this company was worthless and not to schedule my repair with them again. Look at his ratings!!! Amazing how they stay in business.

On Jan 27th, 2015 I called ABD Appliance to schedule a repair. My fridge had gone out and I lost pretty much everything in it. Ray Duran arrived with in an hour of the phone call and looked at my fridge, but said he would have to be back the next day for the repair. He arrived the next day and worked on the fridge for over an hour, before he told me he could not repair it at my home and would have to take it back to his shop. I was reluctant to do this but I was desperate, I needed my fridge repaired! He said he would keep me posted on the progress, but he did not. I had to keep calling asking about my fridge a couple times a day. By the end of the 2nd day, I filled up a cooler with ice to keep some food on hand. By the end of the 3rd day Jan 29th, Mr Duran called, that my fridge was finally fixed. He arrived to deliver it and apologized for having had it for so long, and for having put a big scratch in the front of the door. Yes it was a big scratch! He said he would have to order a kit to buff out the scratch, and it should arrive in a week. After more than a week and no response from Mr. Duran, I called him. He again apologized and said he had not called because he had been out of town. He said the kit had still not arrived, and he would get back with me as soon as it did. Several weeks turned into two months, and when I did reach Mr. Duran, I received more apologies and more excuses, for not returning my calls, such as, he lost my number and he let go of his secretary. Again he assured me he would call once the kit arrived, but after no correspondence from him again, I called and left a message at his office on Apr 4th, 2015. I explained, I did not know what more to do to get him to repair the damage he agreed to fix except to take him to small claims court. After several more days, I called his office again and left a message with someone there. Mr. Duran returned my call that day and again apologized for not responding. He said he had the kit to do the repair, so I scheduled an appointment with him for Apr 15th at 2pm. He arrived more than 1 1/2 hours late. He explained his tardiness by saying he had to stop to get something to eat. A phone call explaining his being late would have been courteous. Mr. Duran worked on the scratch for 2 hours and able to remove most of it. I was not totally pleased with the work, but frankly, by this time, I was done deaing with Mr Duran, his horrible service and his excuses. I finally demanded an invoice for the work, of which he finally produced upon his leaving. It should never taken 2 1/2 months to get an invoice, and to have the damage repaired to my appliance. I will never again use this business nor do I recommend Ray Duran, ABD Appliance.

I called the provider and was transferred to voice mail. I left my name, phone number and a message describing the service I required. ABD Appliance Repair did not call me back.

I left a message with an Angie's List provider Sunday night, and they returned my call Monday morning, but the could not get to me until Tuesday afternoon. Frigidaire/Electrolux (the manufacturer) had given me 3 local names for warranty service. Name number 2 could not do the job for four days. ABD Appliance repair was the third name and was not on Angie's List. I called them (Ray) around 9:30AM, and he was at my home by 10:30AM. Because he had to search out a part (the controller), he was back at my home by 12:45PM and completed the job by 1:05 pm. Ray was prompt, courteous, and entirely effective. Because this was warranty work, there was no charge to me. My freezer was restored to full function, and I am very pleased.
Description of Work: About 8 days ago, I discovered that my 10 month old Frigidaire upright freezer had stopped functioning, and the doorfront control panel was unresponsive.
