Description of Work: Checked out our refrigerator and assessed there wasn't anything that needed replacement or repair. The tech said the ice buildup happens when somehow ice causes the ice maker to drip water continuously. Since I had already thawed out all of the ice when the tech showed up he wasn't able to clearly assess what caused the problem.

Description of Work: Repair man came within 24 hrs., worked on a Saturday, no special weekend charge. He cleaned the refrigerator intake vent, hoping that was the problem with our ice maker. He charged $55 for the service call. We appreciated his trying to avoid the replacement of the whole ice maker which would have been much more expensive. Unfortunately that did not suffice, and he had to return to install the new device. He credited the initial service charge toward the replacement. We were very pleased with the work provided by this company.

Description of Work: GE dishwasher repair. Could have required an expensive new part which would need to be ordered, but he was able to find the fault which was due to poor construction and repair it. We soon found it necessary to purchase another brand which rates much higher in reliability, but ABC's repair took the deal out of the emergency category, and allowed us to make the deal with no stress.

Description of Work: I called them because my dishwasher wouldn't drain. They responded the next morning with a phone call and sent Ray out the next afternoon. He quickly diagnosed the problem and gave me a few alternatives for repair. It turned out my dishwasher needed a replacement hose, which was clogged. We also had a warped control panel. We decided to just replace the hose since the cost of replacing the panel was the same as buying a new dishwasher. The dishwasher works fine without replacing the panel and he set up the hose so it would not get clogged so easily in the future. He gave me good advice and fair pricing and I am very happy with the service I received. I will definitely call them again if I need another appliance repair.

Description of Work: Called because my stove what not heating properly. Left a message and receptionist called within 30 minutes. Scheduled the tech to come the next day. Replaced the igniter on my stove. Work done within 30-40 minutes. Was not home but my husband said the technician was very nice and knew exactly what to do. Very happy with the service, price was expensive but my stove is working fine now.

Description of Work: I had a broken dryer and had called a couple of repair places to fix it. Both of the first two I called completely dropped the ball. I found ABC on Angie's List, called them and even though they still had to wait on a part the repair man they sent took care complete care of us. As soon as the part came in he was there to fix it. I will use ABC from now on to fix all of my appliances. Ask for Norman, he's awesome!

Description of Work: Diagnosed washer problem. We had just had bad experience with Sears service department, who messed up our service call time, and then showed up early and didn't wait. This company was fantastic....a breath of fresh air after that experience. I called and got an appointment for service for the next day. Scheduling girl, who was awesome, called me back when something opened up that same day. Tech was great. He called when he was on his way, as I requested. He didn't pressure me when I told him we would fix it ourselves, now that we knew what the problem was. He even gave me part number to purchase and told me it would be cheaper to purchase online. This company is an example of how to run a business. We will definitely use them again and I have already recommended to a friend.

Description of Work: Replaced the electronics for a wall oven. After determining the problem earlier, he came back with the electronic "motherboard" for the oven. It was done efficiently, he arrived on time (called before hand). The fix works well and we are pleased since it is cheaper than buying a replacement wall oven. | |The cost of the initial diagnostic visit was deducted from the second visit. The guy was really pleasant and helpful.

Description of Work: He fixed the big thumping sound in the dryer as it spun. Something was loose. | The repair man was very friendly and gave us a price break because he was very late. | The thump is gone, but there is still something rubbing, but it is not a big deal. The dryer is fairly old.

Description of Work: My freezer was working but my frig was not cooling. Had gone online to research so had idea what was wrong. The repairman showed up within the scheduled service time. He assessed the problem called me (my Mom lives with us so I was at work) and gave me an estimate of the repair costs. He took the items out of my freezer, fixed the problem, put the stuff back in my freezer, called me, took my credit card info and emailed me a receipt. Total service time about 30 minutes. I especially liked the ability to email the company to schedule an appointment. I had a call back within 20-30 minutes. I would recommend ABC Appliance Repair and will use them again if needed.

Description of Work: Arrived at the time specified. Told us that there would be a $55 service charge. They would troubleshoot, determine the problem, and provide an estimate. It we elected to use their service, the service charge would be applied to the bill. The rep took the dryer apart and found the problem. We told him to proceed with the fix. He was very professional. He fixed a few minor problems or issues at no charge as part of the deal. My wife and I were both very pleased with the service and the fix. The clothes dryer is still working great. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

Description of Work: I was afraid I would have to purchase a new and very expensive gas clothes dryer, but ABC fixed the main problem and one other (at no charge) and I have my machine back in tip top order.
