ABC Appliance Repair

Called in a refrigerator problem. They were able to quickly respond within 1 - 1 1/2 hours. Ray was the technician. He looked at the old freezer unit and a top freezer refrigerator, both used in the garage. He gave advice on a simple fix to the freezer unit and after a diagnosis, replaced the fan in the refrigerator. He was courteous, knowledgeable and fast. Part of my satisfaction is value received. I checked the price for replacement fan for Kenmore after he left and highest price from Sears was under $40 + tax and shipping so even with doubling that price and adding $100 for labor, the price still appears to be way out of line even with the great service. I would have rated price a C except to the company's credit, Ray's advice hopefully will save me some money on the other unit. I would like to use them again, but hope they review their part-charge policy.

I called as my front load washer was filling with water (when washer was not in use) and flooding onto my laundry room floor. I called hoping to have them come in the same day. They said they would and would be there between 3-5. I had an appt so I had a relative meet them. They arrived early (about 2:30) but who can complain about that... I was told that the person who arrived was dressed professionally and acted polite and professional. He was in and out in no time completing the repair. I think the price seems a bit high for what was required for the repair but then again they showed up for me on an emergency basis and the showed up on time and did good work. I will use them again.

On time, fixed it in 45 minutes, courteous, clean, and generally exemplary.

I've been having problems for a while with my GE refrigerator. ABC repairman came and diagnosed the problem within a very short period of time...ordered the part...and came a couple of days later to install the new part. ABC is very responsive - I will definitely use them in the future.

Was scheduled to come in later in the afternoon, but called and said was in the area and had time now to come to the house. So they were in and done before scheduled. The oven wasn't lighting and had to replace the igniter. I had a coupon from Angie's List from ABC Appliance Repair so got 10% off the bill. Overall a real nice experience.

Tech arrived on time and very professional. Explained all work and had part to replace. Examined vents and overall condition of Dryer. I have referred ABC to others. Very satisfied.

Since I was going to repair two appliances I was shopping for a reasonable rate. I called Ortegas Appliance Repair but they wanted to charge me a separate fee to diagnose each appliance. I told them I would check with the next best provider to see how much they would charge. I turns out that I got a better rate to check both appliances, so I booked an appointment with them. Debra from ABC Appliance gave me a window time of when they would come in. As promised Ray from ABC repair showed up the next day. I was immediately impressed by his demeanor. He is very courteous and professional. He fixed my dishwasher that day and ordered the ice maker part for my refrigerator. He called me back to let me know how long it would take to receive the part and they would call me again when they received it. Debra called me about a week later to make an appointment with me to have the part installed. Ray came in early that day and fix my refrigerator. I would definetly use them againin the future!!

These folks went through everything, cleaned, tightened, repaired and quieted every item including some she had not noticed. They are fabulous and I will definately be using them again the next time I rent a property to a whine bucket (or as a matter of preparation for one). Very courteous, good price, on time, just generally perfect.

I love these guys! They had to come back 3 times to get all fried parts replaced in this Fridge. They were there quick each time. Very happy knowing they are a close call away if needed to help with the appliances at my rental properties.

The freezer side of our side-by-side refrigerator had stopped working properly. Ice cream was very soft. I called ABC & they scheduled someone to come out the next day. However, upon checking it the next morning I found it was working properly. I called to tell them & they were very nice. Told me to call if it quit again. No pressure to have them come out anyway just to check it or anything. That was several months ago & the freezer is still working fine. I appreciated the way my call was handled when I called to cancel the scheduled appt. When I need appliance repair I will certainly call them first!

Good communication, follow-up and on-site service. The service was done remotely as I had to coordinate the work for execution at a rental property. There was good communication with the tenant for scheduling and good follow-up with me to get repairs authorized and completed. Billing process worked fine.

The repair person arrived on time, was very professional and got the job done in record time! I will call this company every time I need an appliance repaired.

Not abc's fault I knew up front it was a 50.00 minimum visit.

I was not in a position to purchase a new washer, nor spend $500 on a repair. I was not convinced this was the problem. I went online and got the service manual which outlined how to do diagnosics. I asked to friend who is very mechanical to take a look at the machine. He did, took the back off and rotated the drum in the opposite direction for about 1/3 of a turn. This seemed to release it. It has been fine ever since. I have had NO further problems and the motor is fine. I called ABQ, and spoke with the owner. I told him that I would like my money refunded. He agreed and said he would get me a check shortly. I waited for 2 weeks, called and he once again promised and never followed through. I called a third time and his receptionist said he would get back to me. He did not. I then filed a complaint with the BBB, and the owner called me and promised once again to send a check. No follow through. Given that I called this company based on the Angie's list review, I felt confident that I would be given good service. Then I was confident that my concern would be responded to. It has not been. I think their attitude and work was unprofessional and unacceptable. I have attempted to resolve my concern in an courteous way. The owner has agreed to a refund but it is all talk. Not only does this reflect on the company, but on Angies list. BEWARE this company.

The Dryer worked perfectly but there was no way to turn it on. I called and scheduled an appointment and the technician called back to go into detail about what the problem was. I explained the problem and he gave me a quote right then. They wanted to be sure to bring the correct parts so they could fix it without having to bother me again by having to return with the proper parts. They were amazing, so fast and efficient and I didn't have to be without a dryer for one more day. WOW! I was impressed. He was friendly and professional and eager to help me. they get an A+++++++ Thank you so much!!!!

I called to schedule an appointment for repairs. There was an opening the next day from 3-5PM. The tech called around 1:45 to inform me he was ahead of schedule, and would it be ok to come early; that was perfect. After asking me a few questions about what I was observing and where I set the dial for drying; he informed me the "intelligent dry" cycle was one of the first things to go out on a dryer of that age (14 yrs. old). He suggested I use "timed dry" cycle. He removed the front panel and check over the general condition of dryer. On "timed dry" the dryer heated and all checked out ok. He told me the dryer will work fine in spite of developing rattles, but noise might increase in time, and there would be an expensive $300 value repair in my future. I appreciated knowing this and his delay of jumping into a repair when it may not be needed right now. Ray was friendly, personable, professional and honest.

This repair was from one of my rental units. I selected this company based on the number of reviews and the positive grade they received. I called them and left a message. The receptionist called me back within 30 mins. She made it very easy to cordinate between me, my renter and them. She scheduled someone to come out the next day between 9-11am. The tech arrived right at 8:45am. He called me to get the repair approved. He explained the problem. Gave me the price. I paid over the phone with a credit card. EASY!!! EASY!!!! Great customer service!

Refrigerator freezer box kept frosting up and needed manual defrosting and I feared we'd lose our chile stash if i didn't get it fixed. Found ABC Appliance on Angie's List and called with my best description of the problem. The person who answered the phone was very helpful and took all the important information down so they would come prepared with the right parts. And they did. On time. As scheduled. That alone is worth a high rating in my book. The repair technician was really helpful and explained all that he was doing to fix the problem. t was a quick repair done correctly the first time and without another trip to get parts. Minimizing inconvenience for my family. What more can you ask for? I would definitely use this company again!

I recently looked up appliance repair services on Angie's List for a friend who lives in Albuquerque. Since ABC Appliance Repair had very high ratings and because I was pleased with the service they provided in 2011 while inspecting and repairing appliances that were covered under my Home Warranty plan, I recommended them. My friend was very pleased with the service provided. After she sent me an email thanking me for the advice, I asked her if I could share her feedback with Angie's List. She said, "Sure," so here it is: "Oven guy from ABC Appliance Repair came-was very polite, clean and cleaned up after the work was accomplished --One and 1/2 hours to the tune of almost $500.00--but that was ok. "Mother board" was shot. His name was Ray and because he was running about an hour early , he called and asked if he could come early. OK by me. I was very pleased with the service, and he was good about telling me what he was going to do next---like turn off the power to the whole house--asked permission actually. Pleasant, polite young man. Thanks for your advice. I will use them again should I have the occasion~~~"

Showed up totally unaware of what I made the appoinment for, did not have the equipment to do the job with him, said he couldn't go get it because it was to far, gave me a quote to return at another time and it was more then I was quoted on the phone for the same service. He also gave me a quote for cleaning all of my ducts in the house for over $1000.00. I had a good job done by another company for $69.00.
