Phoned at 8 am was given a quote and an appointment time the same day!! Phoned two other Angie's "A" List providers to comparison quote and BOTH were higher and NONE could come out the same day. He arrived on time and was very quick and professional. Garage door now works perfectly again. Would recommend without hesitation and will use again if a need arises in the future!!!

Mike came and worked by himself for about an hour. He showed up on time and did an excellent job, he replace our garage door spring and cable. Prior to doing any work he gave us an estimate as to how much it would cost us. He's a really awesome guy to do business withdoes high quality work and professionalism. He called back right away. A date was arranged (within 2 business days). He came when he said he would. He removed the old opener, installed the new one with wall switch and outside key pad. He cleaned up well. I am very satisfied. This is the second time I have used him, and will certainly do so again and recommend him.

It was not expensive; I thought it was a reasonable price. He was very prompt. I told him on the phone what kind of door I had and he brought the proper part with him and he did the whole job in a very timely fashion. I don't think he was here more than about 40 minutes. So it was very straight forward and he did a good job, and it was a good rate.

Mike Jackson is very knowledgeable, always on time, very pleasant and he gets the job done. One time when I called him out, it was just a two second fix and he didn’t charge me for that. He is quite nice. He is very professional.

Friday night we discovered that the large tension spring on the garage door had broken, essentially trapping the car inside the garage. Of course these kinds of things always seem to happen on the weekend when it is difficult, and usually very expensive, to get a repairman out. Not so with A-1 Guaranteed Garage Doors. The repairman came out first thing Saturday morning, fixed the problem and even explained why the door was making a popping noise when it was opened or closed, a minor issue not related to the broken spring. It only took a very short time (like 15 min.) to replace the tension spring and the price was very reasonable, plus we used the 10% off coupon from Angie's List. From now on I will call A-1 Guaranteed Garage Doors first when I have a problem with the garage doors.

I can't tell you what he went through trying to fix this. It took hours for him to do everything he could to try to fix it. It was so old, that it just couldn't be fixed. He refused to accept payment since he couldn't fix it. He has given me options for replacement. He's just the nicest.

A torsion spring was broken and the door would only open a couple of feet and then fall back down. Mike came out the next day after calling him. He recommended replacing both springs which we did. The door was also making a popping sound, which he fixed by replacing a roller at no additional charge. The garage door now operates smoothly and quietly like new, and he did the work at a reasonable price.

Its a complex job and Mike performed excellent. The job required removing the old opener and springs. Adjustments for the new opener including new brackets, hanging the motor and belt, installing the new door springs done by the book. Programing of remotes, door controls for the front and inside by the door and finally the remote for the car were all completed and Mike demonstrated their use. Mike is very professional and his job showed his skills.

He didn't try to pressure me into spending more; he just gave me options and let me choose. On top of that he was a nice guy! Couldn't ask for more. Garage door works like a charm. I had a garage door opener that had quit working. I called A-1 Guaranteed Garage Doors. Mike came out and took a look at it. He said he could repair the motor/gears or replace it. He didn't try to up sell me. I chose replace. He was early and had the job done by the time I came home from work. Mike was pleasant and did a good job. I would recommend this company highly to anyone.

Called A-1 Guaranteed Garage Doors that evening and left a message. The owner, Mike Jackson, returned my call the next morning, and scheduled an appointment for the day after that. He arrive right on time. After pulling off the weatherstripping he found that the right cable had snapped and become ensnared in the mechanism. He figured if he cut the left cable and released the pressure he could force the door open, and he was right on. Once open he quickly replaced the cables, as well as a roller that was missing, then adjusted the tracks as best he could (since the previous owners had set the foot of the tracks in concrete). He then made a second appointment for a few days later to install new, higher quality vinyl weatherstripping. For this second visit he also arrived right on time. The garage door now works far smoother and quieter than it has in the five years we've owned the house.

Mike inspected old garage door (aprox. 30 yrs old) and quoted repairs needed. I asked what a new one would be and decided to go with a new one. We scheduled an instalation date and Mike showed up on time and completed the install on schedule. I recomend Mike for any garage door needs and I will use him in the future.

He said that he'd be able to help us out that day. He arrived on time and took care of everything quickly. He recommended using two springs so that when the next spring breaks it won't be nearly as difficult to get the door open. I appreciated the Angie's List discount. Mike was professional and courteous. I will definitely be calling A-1 for all my future garage door work.
