Contacted Jake Corn, whom we knew from having used him for the construction of a porch roof on the front of our house. When he came to assess the scope of the second job, he did try to fix a leak on that front porch roof that he had built a few months earlier. After explaining what we wanted, Jake drew up a contract, sent his wife over to have it signed and we started work shortly thereafter. When they came to start the job, Jake tried to fix a leak in the front roof a second time. Guess what? It is still leaking, only worse, more than a year later. He does guarantee his work for a year but since it seldom rains out here.... Work was finished in a timely manner, cleanup was excellent, and overall, we were satisfied with the exception of the last day of work when Jake brought in several young inexperienced neighbors to apply the shingles. Can you guess? More than a year later, when we finally had a rain... the roof leaks. Badly. Did I contact him? No. Am just too disgusted. He would most likely come out to 'fix' it without any argument, but since he was unsuccessful at fixing the front, I have no confidence that he can fix the side. I really did like the construction techniques he used on the framing. All quality, no shortcuts, but doggone it, his roofing does leave something to be desired.
