During a very business time after the Sandy storm, they were able to send someone to evaluate and estimate. Work was scheduled in a reason time, and cut up wood was removed within a week. Did an excellent job of cleaning up all debris.

Started out good, very responsive. Came right away to give estimate. Response went down from there. Took a long time to finally schedule job. Then Sandy hit, they called to say they couldn't come due to the storm and they would call at he end of the month to reschedule. Didn't hear from them for almost 3 month. They called me on a Thursday at the end of January to say they would be here tomorrow"! Thanks for the notice. The crew that came was very good, and they did a great job.

Brian was pompous and defensive. He does not do what say he he will and does what he says he will not. He does not supervise his men and they cut the heads off of my lilac buds, just leaving the dead stalks. He also said he would give me a name for someone to get rid of some logs, but he never did.

Overall, I am very happy with the service provided. Brian and a colleague of his from SavATree Northern NJ showed up right at the appointed time for an initial appraisal. They were clearly very knowledgeable: I had estimates from 6 other companies, and Brian's knowledge and experience easily stood out. Their quote was not the cheapest, but also not nearly as high as some of the other companies' quotes. Unfortunately, a week after my initial consultation with Brian hurricane Sandy came through. As a result SavATree was tied up with emergency work and it took a good long time (about three months) before the work in my yard was actually performed. Under the circumstances, however (hurricane Sandy, then the holidays), it is understandable. On the day the work was to be performed, Brian, his colleague, and two other gentlemen showed up right on time. Brian explained what was to be done, and the work got under way. It took a few hours, but the job was done with care and skill. The cleanup was also very thorough - all debris were removed and the property was left absolutely clean. Brian indicated that he will soon come to inspect how the work was completed. That is yet another indication of the thoroughness and professionalism of SavATree. Overall, I am happy with the work that was performed, and would recommend SavATree Northern NJ to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, professional, and friendly arborist and crew. I had gotten the estimate in the spring and called about having the work done in October. The appointment was easy to make and they arrived at the property promptly. I asked questions about the aerating as well as some other question about the lawn in general. The men were knowledgeable about the lawn and problem areas I had. I had used this company before for feeding my trees. Both times I was extremely pleased with both the service and the knowledge. I would not hesitate to recommend this company

After I received estimates from a few tree service companies I felt most comfortable with Savatree. These guys work like a well organized corporation and the entire process was smooth. They did the job thoroughly and professionally and I'm glad I decided to go with Savatree. I would recommend Savatree to anyone I know. I got a comparable estimate to this and it seemed to be less expensive than this company offered. They were quite professional when they were here.

I was very happy with what they did. The cost was not cheap but it was well worth the service. They were very professional and they did a great job. They were very personable and the interaction with them was very positive and worth while.

I was very happy with their work. They were in and out quickly. They came out six years ago and said we would have to have a tree cut down in ten years and they are coming to cut it down this fall.

The job was okay, no complaints. Everything was good, they did what they were supposed to do and it went well. They were a little expensive, they were prompt. I would use them again if I had to, they were pretty good.

They showed up, cut down 5 trees, chopped them all up, cut up a ton of wood for the fireplace and cleaned up the mess.

A snowstorm did a job on the trees I needed trimmed so I don't need them now. They seemed very professional and the technician gave me the impression he knew what he was talking about relating to making the trees look even; which is something I had not even thought about. I will have them bid again in the future.

It seems a little bit on the expensive side, although I did like that they actually had an arborist. He clearly knew it when he came out and did the estimate. I would potentially consider using them in the future if needed.

The company waited until they had more service calls in my area before they performed the treatment. This was not mentioned at the time of contract. Once there, however, the representative was personable and efficient. I also contracted for fertilizer for the trees. They have yet to perform this service, also because, according to their representative, they are waiting for more services calls in my area. If you want a service performed immediately, this may not be the company for you. The company did say that although they have not applied fertilizer, they have until the ground freezes to do this. Since the result of the fungal treatment will not be seen until next year, it is difficult to give a rating on their effectiveness.

It was not clear to me, at all, when I signed a contract with them that the treatment would be automatically renewed and they should have been more clear about that.

They did a good job and the yard was clean when they were done. They were prompt and the crew was professional.

I liked that they sent somebody out who was knowledgeable about the trees. I had some issues with the Japanese maple and they were able to answer my questions. They were very quick with the trimming work and trimmed a lot of wood from these trees back and carted it right off. Their pricing was moderate.

I attempted use a coupon for their services, but they would not honor it claiming that it had expired.

They are thorough and reasonably priced. They explain everything in detail and provide a written explanation, too. They finish the job on time and do it good. I like their services and recommend them to everyone. I will continue to use their services in future.

The rep came to the house and was very nice, very knowledgeable and you could tell that they really care about the environment and the trees, they will not recomment cutting a healthy tree unless there is actually a need for it. But in the end it was way too expensive for our budget. Total estimate was around $4000+NY tax. to cut maybe..3-5 mature oaks, deep fertilization and treatment of 2 oaks and 1 japanese maple. I got a company also from angies list to do it for less than half of the price. But I am thinking of getting them to fertilize the trees maybe in the fall or next year. It's about $600 for 2 treatments for the 3 trees. I would hire them if money was not an issue. Very professional, but expensive and Im sure they will do an excellent job

I'm happy with them. I've always had a good experience with them. They're punctual. When a storm left a branch dangling on our lawn, they were here before the storm was over.

They were not able to complete the job because of topographical issues. While the workers were here they tried to call the estimator to have this come out. He said he couldn?t and ended up coming back 5 months later. The accounting department wanted the full amount of the project up front and would not negotiate on the price. They have taken us to small claims for the cost of the contract. I am going to have to pursue legal action. I have heard from other tree service companies that their best work is done for utility companies to remove tree limbs around highways. They do not belong on residential property.
