Description of Work: I found a coupon on Angie's list that I thought would save me some money, I was wrong. I had to cut down 2 trees (14" and 12" oak, top 1 tree, and trim 2 small dead branches). I asked to just leave everything in a pile so I can have the wood for burning. 1st, for that rate I was quoted I could have had one of the local companies I deal with do it for much less but I bought this coupon so I decided to use it. 2nd, I wound up cleaning, raking and blowing all areas they worked. Last time I had someone cut and trim and leave the wood they did everything, even stacked the wood in 1 pile. 3rd, they left all the wood all over the place not in 1 pile like I asked. 4th, I came home at night to find out that they hit my driveway post, knocked off the top, broke a decorative part and the LED light was broke. They had come back to check it and offered to fix the decorative part. That was fine but no offer to pay for anything else or any type of compensation. I have a email in to them to see if they would pay for the LED light since they are around $40. I'll find out what they say soon enough.

Description of Work: I have been a customer of Savatree and Tom for the past 3 years and have had them cut down and trim trees (2 times)and provide lawn chemical service(1 time). We had every intention of having them cut and trim more trees on our property. They did a fairly decent job, nothing to brag about. After the Hurricane, we had a large tree that was uprooted and leaning on another tree close to the house. This tree may have been in danger of coming down on the house if the right wind came along. We were concerned with the Nor'easter that was supposed to hit soon after. We know that the tree services were busy however we did not expect the distant behaviour from the person that we had used many times in the past. He explained that the tree company was working on emergencies and that he could not determine when he would get to our house. I realize now that emergencies really mean houses that had many trees down and would make the tree company much more money. He also quoted a ridiculous price and was not very professional. I would never use this company or this tree consultant again. It seems that they do not take care of their loyal customers and that they are out to rip people off. We finally did get a very good tree service company (lumberjack pro) to come and cut the tree down before the upcoming Nor'easter and they charged $1000 compared to the $2200 that Savatree was to ask for. As far as the chemical lawn service, we had to stop the service mid-way into the contract because the lawn was looking worse. Tom explained to me that it may take 2 years before we see improvement in the lawn. My husband ended up putting chemicals down this year and the lawn looked fantastic. Do not get fooled by these people that cannot make a decent guarantee. Do not use their chemical lawn service at all.

Description of Work: THEY DO ALL LAWN MAINTENANCE. THEY TAKE CARE OF OUR FLOWER BED FOR US. THEY COME ONCE A WEEK TO MOW. THEY PUT CHEMICALS ON OUR LAWN. THEY ALSO DO SPRING AND FALL CLEAN UP FOR US.

Description of Work: SOME OF OUR TREES WERE BLOWN DOWN BY THE WIND, SO THIS COMPANY CAME AND CUT DOWN THE BLOWN TREES AND REMOVED THEM; ROOTS AND ALL. THEY ALSO PRUNED UP SOME OF THE OTHER TREES THAT HAD BEEN DAMAGED.
