Description of Work: Our garage door came off the track. Someone was there in two hours and fixed it quickly.

Description of Work: i called edward with a stuck garage door. he came in about an hour , examined the mechanism and told me it was between 35 and 40 years old. yes, it was 37 years old. ( i guess i got my money's worth.) edward gave me a price quote, installed the new motor, keypad and remote on the spot, checked my other garage door for safety. i didn't validate the price anywhere else, but i was struck with his professionalism, his promptness, and i trusted him when he said this was the best price. The door now works perfectly.

Description of Work: Repaired a broken spring. We contacted Edward's who offered an appointment the next day, with a range of 9AM to noon. They arrived about 9:30. They gave an estimate, which they discounted 10% for Angie's List upon request. Seemed a bit expensive, but we proceeded. It was about 410 to replace both torsion springs, and to do a basic check-up. Ours is a 2 car door with an electric opener.

Description of Work: Was able to make same-day appointment. Replaced springs, cables and pulleys. Garage door is working better than ever now. Very pleased.

Description of Work: Very impressed with Ed's professionalism and honesty. When he arrived, it turned out that a little more was needed than new ball bearing rollers (as well as the maintenance and tune-up included in the deal). When he began his inspection, Ed noticed that the tracks were gummed up with thick black lubricating grease (which the husband had applied a few weeks earlier). Ed could have just ignored the grease and replaced the old rollers with the new smooth white nylon ball bearing rollers. Instead, he took paper towels and de-greaser and began cleaning the tracks on 2 garage doors. As he said to me, the dirty grease from the tracks would turn the new white ball bearing rollers filthy with grease. This took an extra 1/2 hr to do for both garage door tracks (we're not talking a little grease here!). He did not charge any more for doing this (but I gave him a little extra for being so thoughtful). Who said wonderful repair service was a thing of the past?!! Not so with Ed!!!
