Edward's Garage Doors

I called Ed's and he came on Friday, 10/11/2013 for a price and inspection of my garage door. He was very upfront with me, stated I could do the replacement parts or if I wanted to change the entire door, which did not need to be. I arranged for the garage update. Ed was always on time, matter of fact, a bit early, but was pleasant and professional. He explained everything he completed and I am very happy with the repair/replacement.

The work went well. I also purchased two extra items which I paid for separately. I got a key pad and a lock that I would be able to get into the garage if the motor broke. I am very pleased with everything that was done.

I'm very pleased with the work and price. He had everything in working order in no time and went above and beyond. He even replaced a light bulb. Excellent! I will recommend him again.

I placed the order and set up the appointment. By the time he got here, the door had been damaged further and I ended up needing more work done than originally expected. He had all the parts with him, thankfully. He had everything in working order in no time. He was very accomodating and went above and beyond. It worked out very well.

He was prompt on his visit to give a quote for the job. His price was reasonable and he showed good knowledge of what was needed for a good job. When he arrived to do the job, he got started right away and finished the job in a professional manner. When he completed the work, he explained how the new system worked and left some printed material of most of the material used.

Ed answered his phone and I made and appointment for the next day. He arrived on time and completed the job. We also decided to replace the two springs on the garage door. He even replaced a light bulb I couldn't get to because I didn't have a long enough ladder to reach. We were very pleased with the work.

Very polite, professional, and friendly service. They were able to come 5 days after they gave the estimate just in time for our July 4th party. Old garage door and track were removed and taken away at no extra cost. New door, track, motor, and keypad were all successfully installed. The new garage door is beautiful and gives our home great curb appeal!

Explained and fixed the problem and I have not had any trouble with the garage door since he was here. Cost was fair and most reasonable and he did not try to sell all kinds of services and maintenance programs as previous companies have attempted. I would highly recommend this this company if you are having any problems with garage doors.

We called Ed on Monday morning, the day after the accident. He had availability for an appointment the next day, Tuesday. He arrived on time, examined the door, and determined that it could be repaired. However, Ed emphasized that while the door could be fixed, replacement would be preferable. If we chose to fix the door, it would in all probability require replacement in a year or two. We opted to go for a fix now and save up for replacement. Ed replaced some rollers, straightened out the door, and got it working just right. It has worked without a problem now for four months. We are preparing to replace. The door and the opener in another year and will call Ed to do that work for us.

I bought a home and knew that the garage door opener was not working, but I did not know why. I purchased a $20 deal: Garage Door Service Call AND Diagnostic. Ed called me within minutes of me ordering the service call. I made an appointment for a couple of days later. Within a few minutes of his arrival, he told me that the motor was shot. (He showed and explained to me why). He told me what it would cost to install a new system and replace the cables (said that the springs were in good shape). I had him replace it on the spot and he put in a new LiftMaster garage door opener. He explained everything thoroughly, helped me set a code to the keypad, and came back a few days later to replace one of the tracks (that was really dinged up). Ed even told me that it was fine the way that it was because the rollers were rolling smoothly, but I opted to replace it. Ed was always easy to get a hold of. I highly recommend him.

Edward arrived on-time, when promised when our 25 year old garage door opener failed. He explained that one of door springs had sprung (that much we knew), and that the motor had been working much harder than necessary. The rails were still functional and in good shape, and he did not try to sell us new ones. His workmanship is excellent.

Ed is prompt, focused and does quality work. I like hiring companies that employ American Citizens who do quality work. Ed fits both. I have used other garage repair services over my decades of home ownership, and Ed was by far the most proficient/. No upselling pressure tactics. He just fixes things and charges a fair price.

Ed installed 4 new cables & pulleys, and 4 safety cables. The broken garage door track was replaced and door was tested. Ed is truly a good and honest man. Job was completed in under 2 hrs and the garage door works much better now. I highly recommend Ed and his company. I already referred him to two people with garage door issues. So glad I joined Angie's list and found this company!!

Our garage door springs were about 10 years old and had gotten stretched out weak. I decided to replace the springs now rather than waiting for them to fail. After reading positive reviews on Angie's List, I bought a coupon for garage door spring replacement. Within an hour or two of buying the coupon, we got a call at home from Ed to schedule the service. We scheduled the appointment for the next day since it wasn't an emergency. Ed showed up at the scheduled time and replaced the springs on both our 9 foot doors. He also replace the pulleys and upgraded the cables. In addition to the spring replacement, he realigned the mouting brackets where necessary. Now the doors operate very smoothly. He had completed the service in about one hour. I was really impressed with his responsiveness and would have given an A+ if I could have.
