If you're looking for bathroom remodeling, you should definitely contact them and see how it works for you. They were really good overall.

In several stages we have had our bathroom remodeled. RJT was on time always, good responsive service at all stages. Some difficulties with Plumbing happened, but everything was fixed at the end. As RJT uses sub-contractors, they always have a crew available. Interesting approach with good and somewhat worrisome results, but Robert's responsiveness was the key, it solved all the headaches at the end. I worked with a few contractors in my life, his communication was excellent.

Everything was completed on time and he did what he promised. He also opened up a wall to make the kitchen area bigger. We are very pleased and satisfied with his service. I would highly recommend him to others.
Description of Work: He completed a kitchen remodel. We bought the materials so we paid him for the labor.
Rob was very responsive and set up an appointment to come to our house within a day of us calling for a quote. We were very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism, and decided to utilize his services after receiving a reasonable quote. The project went extremely well from start to finish, and we would definitely use RJT again. The job took a total of 3 weeks. Rob always returned all our calls and emails promptly, and visited the site regularly to check things were running smoothly. His workers were polite and did a great job. RJT produced high quality workmanship. Overall, the project could not have gone any better!
Description of Work: We contacted Rob at the end of January 2013 for an estimate on some home remodeling projects. These included: taking out a wall in the dining room and installing a glass french door, painting throughout the house, refinishing the hardwood floors throughout the house, as well as installing new recessed and other lighting throughout the house, and a few smaller projects.

I contacted Rob by email for an estimate on our renovation project and immediately received a response. He was able to flex his schedule to meet with me on short notice, as I had limited access to the house at the time because we hadn't yet closed. I sent Rob some information on the project beforehand, including rough plans and ideas for what we wanted to do. Rob arrived right on time for the estimate and quoted the entire project for me piece by piece by that same evening. I was extremely impressed with his responsiveness-- others took at least 3 days to turn quotes around. He was also quite responsive in addressing questions we had about the quote and providing estimates of other costs outside of his quote (e.g. how much for kitchen/bathroom tile, fixtures, etc). His quote was very complete and made it easy for me to understand exactly what services were and were not included. Overall Rob's estimate was extremely competitive and I would have felt 100% comfortable with him in charge of the project. We decided to go with another contractor that had a different approach (e.g. more hands on in the procurement of materials so that we would not do as much of that part), though I would certainly consider Rob in the future.
Description of Work: Estimate on renovation of 2500 sqft house: -Kitchen. Including moving a bearing wall and complete gutting to studs -Bathrooms. The 'grandma's kitchen' has turned to an 'internet cafe' where we can cook, bake, eat and surf. RJT did a remarkable job. The project started in mid-October and everything went well on schedule till Super Storm Sandy. Since the evening of October 29th we had to spend without power for 7 days as many people did, but amazingly the carpenters came to continue installing cabinets by bringing their own generator (they kindly even let us use electrical outlets on the extension cord from the generator to charge cell phones)! It was an unforgettable experience. Rob conducted the whole process very well and our new kitchen was completed just before Thanksgiving Day. We are thankful to have RJT for our home improvement projects.
Description of Work: The project by RJT was a kitchen (13'x14') renovation. Day 1 was set in a week before the custom-made cabinets would arrive. The crew removed all existing cabinets, appliances, flooring, sheetrock behind cabinets, and soffit under the ceiling. The entry way from kitchen to dining room was enlarged from 30" to 42". A window and an interior door were ordered to be replaced. The electrician installed 4 recessed lights, under cabinet lights on 3 locations, 2 pendant lights over the peninsula, and 8 outlets/switches. The plumber relocated the gas range and installed dishwasher, kitchen faucet, and refrigerator. The tile contractors installed porcelain floor tiles before delivery of cabinets and came for backsplash after installation of cabinets and countertops. The carpenters installed new cabinets with handles, new doors with knobs, and new molding. They also refinished the existing alcove shelves. The rest of walls were painted at the end. As for countertops, we went to select a granite slab at the stone yard of AGM and they installed the granite countertops within a few days after templates and fabrication.

The old-fashioned bathroom now looks completely modern. Rob handled everything very well throughout the project, as he is truly knowledgeable on every subject and always nice to everyone. We would definitely like to have RJT again for future projects.
Description of Work: RJT remodeled/upgraded the bathroom (7' x 8') in 11 working days. All served by RJT were labor (remove and dispose of all existing tile/fixtures, install new tile/fixtures, plumbing, electrical work, and painting) and some materials (exhaust fan with recessed light, outlets). As the cost of new glass panels around bathtub was included in the initial estimate by RJT, last but not least, the glass contractors came to measure and fabricated/installed panels.

Rob and his crew completed a complete kitchen remodel in our home. This remodel consisted of: 1. complete demolition of the kitchen, all sheetrock on walls and ceiling were removed, cabinets and tile floor were also demoed. 2. two closets were demoed in order to allow for a new buffet area and wine bar 3. kitchen wall was opened up and made into a half wall, to open the space between the kitchen and family room. 4. the entry way from the kitchen to dining room was enlarged from 36" to 50". 5. in the family room the old paneling was replaced with sheetrock. 6. a nook in the back hallway was closed off with framing and french doors, to separate laundry area from common space. 7. all areas painted Demolition took approximately two and a half days, the guys were very neat and sealed off the rest of the house properly, which was very important because I have a two year old and needed the rest of the house to be clean. They cleaned up after themselves daily, to contain the debris to one area. Installation of tile floor, new walls and ceiling, new electrical (up to code) including four recessed lights, chandelier installation and two pendant lights over the new island, new kitchen windows, new cabinets went well. Any issues (small) we had, we called Rob about right away and they were addressed immediately. All crew workers were professional and I felt comfortable having them in my home. Rob does a great job managing the project and his crew. Over the course of our project, there was only one day when there was no work being done. Rob is on-site every single day and is very responsive. He's extremely professional and we will work with him again in the future.

Rob and his crew gutted our bathroom (6 ft x 9ft). We live in a condo and it was buidler grade to start. They tore out the flooring, tub and shower surround, drywall--everything. Rob pointed us in the right direction on where to go to get help with selecting tile (we were overwhelmed with decisions!). He helped us find the best sources for the fixtures and other materials as well. They also refaced our fireplace. It was a hideous marble to start and they put a slate tile on---completed project looks awesome. The projects was completed very close to the timeline given. (All was done within 2 weeks.) The sub-contractor for the tile did an excelent job. All of the guys that were in here were hard working, courteous, and professional. Rob was easy to get in touch with and answered all questions and addressed all concerns that we had along the way. The pricing noted includes labor and materials. (keep in mind that we had already purchased a vanity and light fixtures so they are not included in the approximate price listed).

The workers were prompt and professional. The work was well done. There were a couple of things that I wanted changed ... due to my personal preference... and this was done promptly and without question.
Description of Work: RJT dismantled my old deck and tossed it in a dumpster. Then they redid the deck as per agreed upon plan. It was basically a straight replace of the old with new wood with a different rail that was recommend by RJT. I am very happy with the deck and the recommended new railing is definitely much better than the old one.

The project commencement date was based on the delivery of the cabinets and tile. These arrived before Christmas 2011 and were stored in the garage. The project started on January 4th. The order of the work was to demo the existing cabinets, tile floor and plumbing (gas lines, water supply, drains and vent). The project included reducing the height of the wall separating the dining room and kitchen to 42". The opening to the dining room was also increased to 44" which eventually required the installation of a threshold to repair the hard wood floors where the opening was enlarged. For energy conservation the sheet rock was removed on the outside wall so that it could be better insulated. All of the removed material was placed in a dumpster staged in the driveway. That was removed after the demo was completed. From this point to job completion all waste material from the construction was stored in the garage (in plastic bags and boxes). The plumber roughed in the new utilities and upgraded the waste piping leading to the main sewer line for the new sink, existing laundry sink and washing machine. Once the outside wall was insulated and new sheet rock was installed initial inspections with the town building inspector and plumbing inspector were completed. The tile contractor installed the new floor. The finishing contractors installed the cabinets (L shape plus an island and 12" deep cabinets - 42" high along the new half wall between the kitchen and dining room. The upper cabinets on the L were ceiling height. The contractor used the garage as the site for cutting trim and misc. wood for the project. The job was halted and delayed 3 weeks due to two errors made by the cabinet supplier and manufacturer. The corner lazysusan was designed to be 32x 36" It was delivered 36x36" which pushed on side of the L into a doorway. The 12" W x 42"H by 96"L cabinets were delivered 24" in width. It took two weeks to get new cabinets from the factory. The electrician was able to complete his work. All light fixtures (with the exception of a replacement dining room chandelier) were supplied by the contractor. Electrical was brought up to code via the installation of GDF receptacles. Pot lights were installed in the ceiling as well as under cabinet lights and a light above the sink. The electrician relocated a ceiling fan/light to the center of the room so that it would be above the new island. New wiring home runs were made to the electrical box for the GDF receptacles, new microwave and exhaust fan and for the new gas range. Dimmer switches were installed for the pot lights and relocated fan/light. When received the replacement cabinets were installed. The stove, refrigerator and microwave/exhaust fan were installed. The supplier of the counter top (Fuda Tile) was scheduled to make a template. They were given the sink for the cutout. While waiting for the counter top, sheet rock was repaired where cut outs were required. Walls and trim in the kitchen and dining room were painted. The counter top was installed 5 working days later. Holes for the faucet and soap dispenser were cut into the counter top. The tile contractor returned to install the back splash. The plumber returned to complete the sink and faucet hook up and installation of the dish washer. The electrician returned to adjust the depth of the outlets and install the cover plates. Final inspections were made. The electrical inspector required a receptacle by the half wall to be converted to a GDF. Once done the job was complete. Clean up was made which included the removal of trash in the garage. Over all my wife and I are very pleased with the job. Rob of RJT is professional and very easy to deal with. On the whole his subs are excellent. My only complaints deal with our difficulty in communicating with the tile contractor. On the whole his quality is good, however, he had his helper install the pencil tile in the backsplash around the L. In areas it was pressed into the thin set too deep and at the end of the run it noticeably dipped. Since we can live with this installation it was not reported to Rob. Clean up in the garage could have been better. Saw dust created was not vacuumed or swept up. These few negatives would not prevent me from recommending RJT to others plus we intend to use him for a bath room renovation in the near future.
Description of Work: The project was a kitchen renovation - Cabinets and appliances were supplied by others but installed by RJT. Ditto on tile for the floor and backsplash. Room demensions were appox. 12'x13'. Counter tops were by Fuda tile. Crafts involved with RJT were carpentry, tile installation, electrical, plumbing and painting.

We just bought our first home, a lovely 4 BR, 2800 sq ft colonial. It was only built in 2002, but it needs some updating to meet the contemporary style of my wife and I. I was looking to have several projects done, as listed above. I called Rob from RJT and he was a pleasure to communicate with. He was very responsive in his calls and emails. From the get go, Rob was 100% honest about his serves, and what he could and couldn't provide and why. Because of budget constraints, we needed to keep the major cost of our kitchen (the cabinetry) down to low ceiling by reusing all of the exiting cabinetry via refacing. Rob was very honest that he doesn't provide that service, but was willing to recommend others that do. He came out on a Friday evening to do the estimate, and he was very punctual and organized. Within 48 hours, he emailed me a detailed estimate in PDF format. He described for me exactly the products and companies he uses. In the end, we decided to go with a different company that was very well reviewed also, and personally recommended by a family friend. The other company was able provide things more along our budgetary lines. I would still recommend Rob and RJT to anyone looking for a home remodel, and if I have future projects I would definitely consider him.
Description of Work: This is for an estimate for multiple projects in a newly purchased 4 bedroom house, 2800 sq ft: Hardwood flooring- sand, refinish, stain, and seal all of 1st floor, 2nd floor, stairs = $8700 Interior painting - entire 1st and 2nd floor, almost every room, all hallways, cost of paint and labor = $6500 Kitchen Reno (only labor) - existing cabinet removal, install new cabinets, install range vent hood (currently a recirculating micro/fan combo), new island, new sink, new appliances (fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave), tile backsplash, 4 recessed lights, 2 pendant lights, under cabinet lighting. = $9500 (labor only, cost of cabinets probably an extra $15,000-$20,000 as per on site estimate) Install 2 bathroom exhaust fanas = $500 In the end, we decided to go with another company who was able to save a lot of costs by doing cabinet refacing (instead of brand new kitchen cabinets), as well providing discounts and rebates to many other services.

My deck had deteriored and I needed to have the decking and reailings replaced. I had 3 estimates and RJT came in as the best price. I decided to go with pressure treated wood. As work proceeded I needed to do some minor changes. Rob Tell ( of RJT) was very patient and the changes were accomplished with no problem. It was also discovered that some of the joists were rotten and RJT replaced them with no extra charge. In the 2nd job the sheet rock was masterly repaired in a very timely manner with professional results. All workers were very curtious professional and final cleanup was minimal. I wholeheartedly recomennd RJT for any home improvement needs

Excellent job. The most outstanding aspect was the ability to get all the trades lined up (carpenter, electrician, plumber) to minimize the time we were without our bathroom. My ususal contractor said wit would take 2-3 weeks to complete. Rob was done in just over a week, as promised. All the work was extremely well done, especially the complicated tile work
Description of Work: Complete gut and remodel of small (7 foot by 9 foot master bath room). This was what I would consider a high end job, with floor to ceiling ceramic time, custom, tile shower pan and multiple rows of decorative/mosaic tiles. Cost of materials was about $5,000. Labor cost was about $7,000. This price was well below several other estimates I received. Rob took the measurements and helped us spec out what materials we needed. We sourced our own materials (tile, cabinet, sink, fixtures, toilet, shower hardware) ourselves. Once all materials were in, the work began. Rob's crews are very professional and courteous. Demolition took one day, then a day for rough electrical, a day for rough plumbing, a day and a half for sheetrock and prep. A day and a half for tile. Cabinet install, final electric and plumbing were done in about a day. Longest lead time was for ordering the custom shower door, but that is to be expected. Rob's contractor fabricated and installed the shower door/enclosure - having the best bid versus a local vendor i was planning to use.
