Sal the contractor came out to give an estimate but they never gave me and estimate. I had to call several times and leave messages, then they just canceled it. I had to drive over 3 hours to the property, why waste my time if you cant do the project or tell me the day he came to give me the estimate. They made me wait for days as if they were going to give me an estimate. Im really sick of these shady contractors.

I was disappointed, because there was lack of attention to details. the contractor Sal advised us to hire an architect through fever and the architect created a plan and based on our knowledge and vision for the basement, the work get started and there were issues with how the drywall installed, there was spaces near the ceiling where you can still see the framing after the drywall was installed, after bringing this to Sal's attention he stated it was because of the uneven floors. this is where the lack of attention to details comes into play, I don't understand why us the customer is pointing out flaws in their work. then they applied pudding and caulked the drywall to cover the framing. then we a have crawl space that they partially framed over which led to being inaccessible, when we brought to Sal's attention he blamed it on us for not pointing it out to him, when we did our initial walk through before we were quoted the price, we believed that he should have guided us on all the particulars that are needed to be addressed and completed for our basement. after going back and forth and having a heated argument that's when he decided that his crew will be packing up and not completing the day's work, then I mentioned if he was not going to complete the work that they were supposed to for that day then I take that as your walking away from completing the job, Sal decided to have his crew complete that days work and then he said he will get back to us about the crawl space, the next day Sal reached out to me stated he would correct the crawl space after inspection passes but he would not do the molding as promised in the contract, when the electrician came to install the outlets I noticed that he was putting in more outlets than we were quoted, this was the concern because I was not willing to pay for more outlets , so the electrician called Sal to verify that we will not be charged for the additional outlets, he said we wouldn't. fast forward to completion of the work when Sal came to pick up the last payment we discussed the issues of the outlets having a cover and not being abled to be used. he told us that all we have to do is to take two wires and connect them to the socket, this was an issue because this isn't something we know how to do and when i called him that day he said he was installing additional outlets free of charge, there was miscommunication because he said he was installing outlets, I took that as what i know now to be socket as well, I thought an outlet included a socket, according to Sal an outlet is not the same thing as a socket. and he promised outlets. this was not communicated to me that day on the phone with the electrician, other issues were the crew left trash in the middle of our basement for days before they returned to do the next part of the job and they left 10 garbage bags full of trash in our backyard for us to throw away, this was not communicated to us in the initial meeting however Sal swears on his mother that he told us later. we found out after inquiring about the trash he stated there were be additional $350 to remove the trash so we ended up hiring a company to pick up a trash amounting $275. after having another company to quote us from molding he noticed that the framing could have been 3 inches from the wall instead of the 7 inches they have installed, this matters beacuse we could have had 4 inches of living space. he also noticed the lack of attention to details for the crawl space cut out and the glass line cut out was of centered, he knew this because you can see in between the walls, because they did not care to offer us a complete job by adding access doors to those cut outs, he also mentioned we over pay for the job I don't advise anyone to hire from this company.
