Buyer Beware! I hired this company to do various tree work in my yard, including the removal and grinding of a very large pine tree. At first, I thought everything was okay and paid the owner Jose Padilla, who was not on the job site until payment. His brother in law Willie, was the person who was passing as the owner. The next day, it rained and I realized, this dishonest company, hid the tree stump with the tree chips from cutting the tree down. I paid to have the tree cut down and stump completely grinded to the ground. I called the owner Jose and informed him what his men had done. I asked why before they left my house and paid, they didn't tell me they did not complete the job I paid for but instead hid it. From the beginning, this man's attitude was poor and proceeded to raise his voice at me. We agreed he would come back to look at the job and if I was still not satisfy, he would return my money. We agreed on a time and date as I did not want anyone on my property until I was there. He came one hour before the scheduled time and I was at work. He proceeded to enter my property without permission and then called me to tell me there was nothing he could do to remove the left over stump because my fence was in the way. I told them they were the professionals and should have been told beforehand that they would not be able to completely grind the stump. I told him had I been informed, I would not have cut down the tree as I would not have wanted to be left with a stump that will now get diseased and insects, like ants and termites. This dishonest man had the audacity to tell me to hire someone to remove the fence and then he would come back and finish it. When I told him that was not acceptable to spend more money on another contractor, he finally suggested he would refund me the total amount of the cost of removing the tree and grinding it. He told me he would be back that same day with the money. He never showed. After various phone calls and text messages, he has now blocked my number and I am now left hiring someone else to complete the job. This owner and company are very dishonest and Jose the owner is certainly not a man of his word. I would not recommend this company and give it a rating of F or zero! I will be taking legal action to try to recoup my lost funds.

Excellent is not descriptive enough.!! The tree was a safety concern of mine for years. My daughter and I watched the 50+ foot tree rock during super storm sandy years ago and we cringed with every other storm since. I called Jose and within three business days the estimate was done, tree removed and everything cleaned up to perfect condition. The team worked non stop and professionally did the job. They even cleaned up a piece of the trunk for me to use for a table (great craft project!). I don’t normally give A ratings as I tend to think there is always room for improvement but this is one that is deserved. Even the price was so worth the result and very fair given the work involved to remove a tree that size. I would definitely recommend and use Jose and his team again.

Jose got back to me quickly, came over to give the price and had his men do the job a couple of days later. Great service. Would highly recommend.

Woodpecker was great. Juan, the owner, was there to oversee the entire job. They arrived in the morning, with a crew of 8 workers, a 110 ft. crane and worked non stop for (except for lunch) over 7 hours. The crane driver was unbelievable lifting and lowering full trees, the crew operated like clockwork getting the trees in the chipper and cleaning up. You could tell by watching what an experienced and professional crew it was. Definitely will be using again.

It went very well. I was very pleased with his performance. He arrived on time. He kept his word the whole time through.

Woodpecker Tree provided excellent service for my tree trimming. I had a 60ft plus maple tree in front of the house that was overhanging the roof and causing moss to grow. To avoid roof damage and leaks, I contracted Woodpecker for the job. The owner responded quickly with a fair price quote. The crew arrived promptly and did a great job trimming the tree. They were professional, efficient, and cleaned the site perfectly. I am glad to have found them and will use them exclusively for any future tree cutting/trimming jobs.

We were in dire straights. The sun was going down and a tree we had start cutting on our own property, a huge gust of wind that we didn't expect started going in the wrong direction and it hit the streets instead of the woods on our property, so we had to call somebody who could show up very quickly and do it. They guy was awesome. He showed up, took out a long line, taught, threw it way up high, tied it around the top of the tree , brought the other end down. The two of us together brought it down in the direction that it was suppose to go before it fell into the street. We had to work real fast. There wasn't a lot of time for scheduling anybody. All he really did was pull down a tree we had already cut but for the emergency quick work he did and everything, we gave him , I think it was about $100. It might have been $125. I'm not sure but we would've paid anything at that point to have it not fall in the street. It was already cracking up the side of the tree. It was ready to go over into the street and take down power lines, I was like "Oh, no" but it was about that $125 fro the emergency, which he did beautifully. He did everything right. He put it exactly where we wanted it. We cut up the tree to pieces later on our own but he really saved the day. He was very kind. He didn't charge us. He didn't go "oh it's going to cost us $500" or something like that or whatever even under the circumstances. Price was very fair. He was brilliant. He obviously knows what he is doing. He was good. His responsiveness was very fast. He was here within 20 minutes. He showed up. He was absolutely perfect. I don't even know if he was the owner or one of the main people, we didn't really find out what his title was or whatever but we were very happy to have him out there. He didn't chastise us. He didn't say he shouldn't be here. He said you did everything right but you had very bad luck with the wind blowing the wrong way, at the wrong time. He said you did the right stuff by moving the motor from the chainsaw, leaving the blade in the tree and just getting out of the way until I came over. It was amazing bringing it down. It was pretty cool. I've never seen anybody get, half the time you do it three or four or five time to get the rope up that high and get it to go in between the branches. He did it on the first toss. He came right back , grab two of them, put the rock on the end and tied to a stick and put the rock in the ground about the size of a baseball bat. He took one tug at it and we just pulled. We didn't even have to pull down hard, it came right over.

Jose and his team were amazing. Immediate contact, even came on a Sunday to give an estimate. Performed the jobs safely and quickly. Highly recommend especially for the price.
