I feel compelled to write this review, although I have never written a negative one about any company before. The reason I am taking the time this time is because when I looked up the current reviews for this company they were all good and i realized the reason. Enoug time hasn't passed yet, and if there is a problem their customers will not ;likely know it until years down the road. We purchased granite and installation from this company 8-9 years ago, when the were very new and we were very pleased. Or so we thought. The granite they installed now has a crack (about 4 feet long, 1/8 inch wide, and 1/4 inches deep!) We were told by countless contractors that road. the only way this could have cracked like this was either poor installation, or it had a hairline crack in it to begin with (perhaps damaged on it's way to our home. There is no way we could have damaged it because it is cracked horizontally in the narrow space behind the faucet. Mendoza Marble finally sent someone to our home after months of trying to get them to return our calls, and stopping in personally. The original installer came with a "translator" because the installer barely spoke English. He said he never saw anything like this kind of damage and thought maybe it was because there was no washer hisnon the faucet and there was a leak that caused it to crack over the years. A slight intermittent dripping of water causing stone to crack? What?!!! The installer said he could repair it for around $400.00. What?! Assuming that something this expensive would have a 20 year or lifetime guarantee, we were surprised to learn that it was only guaranteed for one year! There is no way anyone would ever know that poor installation caused a tension crack until tension was put on the stone for a very long time, and long past their warranty. Buyer beware -- Find an installer that backs their installation for 20 or 25 years at least. Granite is a very expensive investment, and so is replacing it because the company that sold it to you does not "make good" on their products or services when they are directly responsible for the damage. I would recommend Mendoza to everyone, and I do! The installers went above and beyond because my cabinet installation was not perfect. Didn't even charge extra or grumble when they discovered the problem. I finally joined Angies list so I am sending my review a little late.
