Description of Work: As JLB Contractors and Rainbow Contractors, Jason provided a quote for moisture remediation for our family room that was impacted by the seasonal rain in early May. I had decided that simple remediation would not be sufficient, and that fixes the root cause would be a more cost efficient option. JLB performed the original remediation for the previous owner, and Jason came out twice to discuss plans. However, at no time did I receive a quote for the full restoration. He had asked me to forward specs for a window to be installed in a proposed wall, but then asked me to purchase it. At that point, our communication ceased. I left am MVX and emailed but received no reply. In addition, previous appointments, in which I scheduled time away from work were cancelled; in one instance an 8 AM appt was missed, and I needed to call to find out after waiting for 30 min, and another appt was missed as Jason was attending an online course (not sure what wa so time sensitive about that). I would also add that I discovered that his previous remediation tied two downspouts that manage 500 sq ft of roof a rear drain that managed the runoff from a 50' deck, and a drain to manage an inverted grade to a side door (previous owner design - to be remediated) all Y-connected to a single 4"-effluent pipe that runs to the curb. I do regret not determining this prior to calling him to make good on his 4 yr warranty (which was the reason I called JLB/Rainbow initially), as I might have just passed on any further interaction as Jason's initial response was to deny the document was real and to question if the work was his. I take responsibility for not picking up on the fact that he had no intention of foowing through. In summary , Jason Brown is not a good collaborator, and his designs, in retrospect, are ignorant.
