+ -1 moreBought a brand new air conditioner had a defect they won't take it back because they call it a seasonal item. I spent 2 grand in their store and now I'm just a schmuck. Haven't even plugged it in I've been on the phone for hours with GE arguing they don't wanna fix it. Customer service is horrible after they get paid but their so nice when you're reaching for your wallet. Fakes. Don't shop here Amazon will let you return anything for any reason.

Description of Work: I bought a microwave that needed to be installed. The sale was fine, nothing special, tried to get upsold on a higher end model, but went with the basic one. Delivery was coordinator for later in the week. Never received a call the day prior for delivery time and my wife ended up having a last minute doctor's appt that day and when I called to find out what time they were coming, all I received was an attitude. I explained the situation and they would not let me explain and just talked over me. I had my wife call and they treated her the same way. The price was average and service par. I would not go back given the way I was treated.

Description of Work: Excellent customer service at the showroom. Very reliable delivery time. There was an issue related to moving the washing machine through the door and asking me to disassemble a bookcase that was not I the way. They also connected up only one of the two new hoses saying they did not wish to be responsible and they did not have the tools. Overall, however, washing machine is working at a great price. Good experience

+ 0 moreIt is a family owned company. They are nice to deal with. They are very fair and they were willing to negotiate on price a little bit. They gave me a loaner microwave to use until our kitchen was finished and install what I bought.
Description of Work: I have used Oberg & Lindquist. I bought a new dishwasher, stove, and microwave. They delivered it here in my house, and when the kitchen was finished, they sent installation people out to install the appliances.

+ -1 morePossibly the best vendor experience since purchasing my house. First the sales person was super nice. Then when I asked to confirm the price for the grill which was on sale $50 less than Home Depot, she said I'll get you the price and came back another $50 off making it $100 less. Then they delivered very early the next morning per our request because we had an appointment. Then the natural gas line needed a new adapter for which I figured I needed a plumber but they installed it for me for free perfectly with the plumbing glue and everything. Also they carried the grill very very far to put next to the pool. Then from far across the yard I noticed the slightest warp to one of the panels on the door. I gently pointed it out saying it wasn't a big deal if they couldn't fix it. He immediately said they'd order a new door. The next morning at 8 am they were there to install the new door. Amazing service!!!

+ -1 moreWe had purchased a microwave from Home Depot but the installers they sent were incapable of figuring out the removal of our old microwave - a museum piece from the 1980s. So we cancelled the order and called Oberg and Lindquist. They were happy to help us even though our small order of one low price microwave is not a big job for them. We received great service and their installers were of a considerably higher calibre than those sent by HD.

They came and assessed what we needed -- we were even ready to put in a through the wall unit (basement = big bucks) and they said that would not be necessary. Only complaint I had was that the installer did not spend any time showing us the features and how to control them.

+ -1 moreWe purchased a chest freezer at the store, with a delivery date we chose (it could have been the next day if we had wished). The shop staff were immediately available and helpful, and completed the transaction in 5 minutes while we were sitting down at their service counter. As we had no power on the chosen date we canceled the delivery, then, when power returned, we called the next morning and the item was delivered 3 hours later. The delivery team were prompt and professional, and removed the old freezer for disposal. We have made most of our appliance purchases a Oberg and Lindquist over the past 30 years, and have always been completely satisfied with their professionalism, curtesy and prices.

+ -1 moreIt went very well. I went to the store to speak to a salesman. He told me what my options were. I searched online for a model. I gave the model nos. to the salesman and he quoted me prices for the refrigerator and installation. I ordered the refrigerator over the phone and they delivered it about 2 weeks later. On the day of delivery, 2 men showed up to install, 2 electricians and 2 to deliver and take away. They all showed up within 5 minutes of each other so all went very smoothly.
Description of Work: I bought a refrigerator. I replaced a built in with a cabinet depth. They delivered the refrigerator and took away my old one. They also needed to do electrical work and fill in the space above the refrigerator since the height was less than my built in.

+ -1 more...delay the job. They did not offer to find the appliances somewhere else. I had to find the appliances so the job would not be held up. No follow up calls from them, no offers to be helpful and the president doesn't talk to customers. I did take delivery of the one on August 8th. I found the other two somewhere else cheaper but with a lot of angst. Price would have been $5500 for all five.
Description of Work: I purchased five new appliances on May 15, for delivery on August 13. June 1st I changed the delivery date to August 6th, the dates were quite precise because I was putting in a new kitchen. Around July 30th I called to confirm the delivery and was told everything was on schedule. On August 6th, 2 of the 5 appliances were delivered. When I called Oberg and Lindquist I was told "Oh no they are on back order" the other three. Remember I ordered these in May. There was no back order. So I said "when do you expect them in?" They said one would be in 8th of August and they didn't know about the other two. They told me they called me and I said that was a lie. They retracted on that statement and said "Oh we always call." I asked to speak with the president of the company and I was told he doesn't talk to customers. I asked what they were prepared to do for me. They offered me two options. To cancel the contract or to call the kitchen designer and... (see below)
